This is a picture of a Typhoon heading to Japan--sent by Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot-- Thankfully, he is winging his way now to Vancouver ahead of it--I had a text in the night telling me his flight number-- He, plus other Pilots, are flying the plane back to Canada-- landing in Vancouver--then he will "deadhead" back to Toronto-- (That means he can take a seat with the passengers and sleep--)-
Of course he sent pictures of food while in Japan-He really enjoys the food in these different countries!
I had to wear a jacket while walking Lopez this morning ----The temperature outside was 5 Celsius -cold! Good thing I had lugged some warmer clothing up to the hall closet-My oldest brother who lives near London, Ontario , and who, I think is bed ridden--- was trying to convince me to take care of him, as he does not want to go to a long term care home-- He has been phoning 3-4 times a day lately , telling me "sweet nothings"-- I FINALLY TOOK THE BULL BY THE HORNS AND TOLD HIM TO STOP ACTING SO SILLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY THAT I CAN TAKE CARE OF HIM--- I could go on and on--rant and rave--He is definitely not like my younger brother--This older brother has lead a very different life--never ever -----well, I will stop the ranting---It is hard to have to be so honest with a person isn't it?---It kinda broke my heart to see him acting the way he is acting--no respect for Himself who is presently, doing quite well here--
So--- life goes on--I must be positive----Do what I feel is best----Hug the dogs --hope for the best-always-
OH--- To-day is the last day that I am feeding these last few Hummingbirds--I gave them their eviction notice this AM---- told them to "head South"--that all of you are awaiting their arrival-- --Lord love a Duck!--What has got into me to-day?
Good morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteMy goodness.....lots happening. Glad pilot son will be out of storm. He does like food lol

DeleteGreat blog. It is so important to stay positive always. And to be up front with your brother right away!
ReplyDeleteYes I sure was "up front" with the older brother---- He should never have asked--It puts me in a bad situation- Hugs to yu too-Lynda
DeleteThe weather has really turned cool this weekend. Your brother may not want to go into a long term care home but it sounds like it would be the best thing for him. You have your hands full without worrying about him. Take care and stay positive.
ReplyDeleteMy older brother should not have asked--It shows a total lack of respect for Himself too-so happy yu agree-- Lynda--and hugs to yu too
DeleteGood morning Lynda! Glad your son will be out of the way of the storm!! His food pics always look delicious. Good for you for standing up to your brother...stand your ground! You have your plate full. I know it's not easy but necessary.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lil
It must be difficult dealing with your brother. He must understand how you need to focus on Himself. Is there no other part of the family that can assist him? Health insurance to pay for home care?
ReplyDeleteColder in the mornings here, too. Looks like fall is definitely in the air.
Love looking at your son's food.
Sweet friend, remember to hug Sushi, too!
It's Labor Day here. Lots of BBQs. Not for us here in my building, though some have been picked up by kids and grandkids to join their celebration.
You have a great day, dear. {{{HUGS}}}
Glad pilot son is getting out of Japan before the typhoon. They appear to be very dangerous and would be worst to fly through. He sure gets to eat well though! I can't believe the gall of your brother asking you to look after him. He must be very self-centered. With you already having your hands full looking after himself, the fur babies and that big house and lot. Some people have a lot of nerve! Stay well and enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that DS #2 is getting out of Japan ahead of the storm. PHEW.
ReplyDeleteOh my, it is very hard to have to be brutally honest w/anyone, esp. a sibling, but . . . you definitely have a full plate w/life right now. You do not need anything more on your plate. **SIGH** Sad. Hopefully he finds the care he needs.
HUGS and . . . more hugs.

Yummy Japanese food! I'm glad you got the strength to say NO to your brother. Is he crazy? OMG! ((HUGS TO YOU!))
ReplyDeleteLynda, so glad your son is flying away from the bad weather! Interesting food photos, and he should enjoy it, too. You know, when people age, they do become like toddlers, and are unable to reason properly! And what about the great healthcare system that Canada has? They should scoop him up and take him away to his last earthly home, period! His doctor should have dealt with this a long time ago. This brother needs to be taken to some care place. I’m glad you said a firm NO. He does not know what he is talking about anymore. The hummers are on the move, I do notice that. Take care. Ethel (Doris)
ReplyDeleteI was in Japan for a couple weeks way back in the early 70's and I loved it. At first the food was kind of strange to me but once I found some good places to eat - I just loved it!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to tell your brother no....how could you begin to take care of him and take care of Himself, not to mention the rest of the stuff you do. I thought it was such a blessing the grandson (who seems to be an angel) mows your yard to lighten your load.
ReplyDeleteGlad #2 is on his way home safe n sound.
I looked it up and 5 degrees Celsius is 41 degrees here...lol
Curiousity......................stay strong girl. How is the weight going???
Sorry to hear about your brother but, you are right it would be too much for you to handle.
