Summer leaving the lake--Look at the fog! --Look at the temperature this morning!--5 degrees Celsius
Yesterday the "Grass cutter" was here--who is the trusty Grandson-- -- He and his Dad helped me a lot--He also said he will be out to bring in the docks one weekend soon.
He did visit a Korean McDonalds--It sorta looks like our MacDonalds-- They had WIFI-- We are having a cool day--Himself and I go for our 5th shot this AM------so, I will keep on keeping on here. Himself is already watching Tennis--The 2 boys--(the German and the Chihuahua)-have been out--Sushi is fed--and oh my goodness--- You know what? Yesterday when I was raking pine needles, guess what flew over?----- A FLOCK OF GEESE--Lord love a Duck!---- I just looked up, and said, "OHHHH NO--OO-OOO"------Already?----Maybe they were just heading to another lake--I hope!---Is it going to be an early winter?----Oh, I hope not!
Good morning
ReplyDeleteSummer definitely leaving up there. Cool spell in St.Louis but not like yours. Lawn mowing will slack off pretty doon.
Glad to hear Fred having a good day.
Pilot son sure does enjoy food lol
Geese...well..they are doing their thing so will see what Mother Nature has planned. I'm not a fan of winter but its less outside work for you, which I do like. Haven't decided on 5th shot yet not sure. Will get flu shot in a few weeks.
Have a great day.
Hugs and blessings.
I stepped out on my deck this morning to geese honking overhead. They stay year round, but they are on the wing and vocal more in Spring and Fall. Thinking of you and your 5th shot... hope it goes as well as mine did a week ago.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your shots today! I’m due for the flu shot soon. Just went into a grocery store yesterday, for the first time in over 2 1/2 years! It was a Costco, it felt like Disneyland! Seeing all the stuff, so many new things. Prices were not too bad, Oct will be higher, just because They can do it!! Have a good weekend. Ethelmerz
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of cold weather, but will enjoy not having to mow and take care of pool. They are coming to close my pool this afternoon. Good timing as the temps dropped from the 90's to the 60's yesterday! I still have lots of hummingbirds! Guess they are still hanging on for a couple of weeks! Still undedecided about vaccine #5 but will definitely get flu shot next week!
ReplyDeleteWe have appointments to get our 5th shots along with flu shots on Monday. I wanted to get them now because we are going to Kentucky in 2 weeks to visit our daughter. Haven't been there in awhile and looking forward to getting away. Haven't seen any geese going South from here but today would be a bad day for them to start. It is so windy here from the remnants of the hurricane.
ReplyDeleteWow! Fall made quite an entrance with such temps at your place! Beautiful photos. Have a pretty Friday and a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe food son #2 sent pictures of looks DELICIOUS!
ReplyDeleteGood luck w/shot #5. We get ours (and the flu shot) 01 October.
OH MY GOD! Looked @ the markets earlier and . . . fuhgetaboutit. Not turning around today. Don’t know what the issue is, but . . . just . . . not . . . good.
LOVE Weekend Warrior Baby. Been too long.
Here’s to a good weekend.
Hugs

Seems like your temp is about like ours here. Rainy all day today, and unlike summer, the humidity makes it feel colder. The humidity of summer rain makes it feel warmer.
ReplyDeleteWe just have to deal with what we have.
I knew the family would help you with all that outside winter preparation!
I haven't noticed geese flying south here yet, but I am sure I will soon.
The food looks great...I try to stay away from deep fried food myself. Yesterday, though, a friend and I went to a local restaurant for their Thursday special: hamburger basket with fries (lots) for just $6. Best burger I've had in ages. The only thing it lacked was pickle slices.
Let's have a great weekend, Lynda! {{{HUGS}}}
It was 97 here yesterday, today we got up to 56...lol...typical for Alabama.
ReplyDeleteJust a note: I won't be typing much for a while, took a really bad fall
this morning at the Ct. scan place...David had the CT scan & I went
out to get his medical sheet I typed up, and stepped on a handicap
sign on the concrete and it was slick as grease/oil/slime/something
so my left wrist is bandaged, and swollen, sore as all get out, and I have no skin left on the left hand. I guess they were afraid I broke something so xrayed me top to bottom to see if I broke anything..I
just know I hurt.
PS: loved the Lynx picture....what a beautiful kitty...
It was very cold here today, never warmed up. And we had rain in the morning. The temperature in the house keeps going down. I hope it warms up a bit next week because I'm not ready to turn on the furnace - but it might happen sooner than I'd like! We live on a very busy road and have a flock of geese that have been hanging out for about a week now. They start on the other side of the street, then the whole group of them waddle across the road while card honk and honk. They don't care - they just keep walking until they get to the other side!!! Pretty funny to watch - and really, people can be so silly! Like a goose cares if you honk at it!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Lynda
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say "Hi". I try to keep up on your posts. I read them I just don't always post anything. Happy to hear all is well w/himself and you. It is getting cold here in Michigan also, not as cold as your temp. but cold for us. We still have hummingbirds here. I was surprised to see them flying by windows and patio doors until it occurred to me that the feeder was empty!
They are the cutest and I hate to see them leave.
Yesterday hubby and I walked along the beach, I was looking for sea glass or driftwood. (We had waves 7 -10 ft. high the day before).
Never saw anything. We did have a nice walk tho.
I hope that you are reading this.
Take care and stay healthy.
