New day--New Possibilities!

Her visit to our kitchen was just too much for her-- We hear of Queen Elizabeth 24/7----- all the news channels--She really was a special person! She reigned (Is that the correct term?)- for 70 years--amazing--always seemed to say the right caring things--never "upset the applecart" as Mom used to say--AND---- she went thru a lot with her children--same as the rest of us--AND--survived it all-same as the rest of us! Her marriage to Prince Phillip was a success--even when poor Phillip insisted on driving, and crashed up the vehicle! --sounds like here!-

And now we have Charles---King Charles-- not a very likeable sorta guy, who ditched Dianna and then married Camilla--We shall see what we shall see  with that!-- Charles appears to very intelligent--but--seems not as knowledgable as his Mom when it comes to dealing with people. That just about sums up all my thoughts with that!

Wee little Lopez has become a  little "holy terror"-- I have a squirt bottle which I use when I can reach him, in time, after some dasdardly (Is that a word?)- deed that he does--like snarls at me--growls at me--bites my hand-bites poor Beau's legs----  ahh--the list goes on and on-- The only time he is sweet, is when he is in his crate, sleeping.-- I do not believe in giving a dog away--as it mixes them all up-- but----  I am about at my "wits end" --again, as Mom used to say----any suggestions???---Chihuahuas are certainly a breed of their own!

Ever onward here--It is looking like a good day beginning- I have someone coming at 4pm to look at our metal roof--Some of the nails holding it together,  popped up, allowing drips of water to come into the sunroom--There is always something isn't there?

Don't forget to dress like the above!---  Isn't that so true?--  Yu want an "EX" to think we still look amazing! --LOL_-  AND----make to-day great!

  1. Good morning. Love the dress like your going to meet an ex boyfriend. Too funny. You make my day.
Charles....well...I agree on the not very likeable part. The Queen dealt with everything, including her kids issues, with her steadfast, unflappable manner. Quite a magnificent woman.
Lopez...Lynda, don't know how you do it. He's more than a challenge and continues to be a challenge. He's done so much destruction to your home and now he wants to bite at you. Bad enough he bites Beau. Hope he doesn't get Fred. You'll do whatever you think is best but I'd have given up on him a long time ago. I'd hoped he'd turn into a nice pet long before now
    Sorry.
Beautiful day in St.Louis. Take care of you. Good luck with roof. I'm having a water heater installed this morning...groan and big dollars. Always something.
    Hugs

    1. Oh Margene--Yes, Lopez is trying to weild his authority--be "top Dog" as Son #3 tells me--I try to lower my voice and sound fierce when he snarls--'specially at me-- It kinda makes him cower a tad--(not much tho)- He is a nice pet when he is sleeping -that is about it--and as for Charles --the King now-- he leaves a lot to be desired too--so far anyway-- --LOL-- Hopefully this wee Chihuahua will calm down soon-- Lynda--

  2. A lot of the world is in mourning for the Queen and watching for what will happen now. Charles doesn't have the social skills? I can understand that. Maybe he will develop them...at first it will seem forced to him and those with him...after a while, maybe it will seem natural. Maybe he hasn't had to use those kind of skills very much.
When I pet sit, like last weekend, the chihuahua is nippy with me, to. Once he made me bleed...even though I approach him slowly, calmly. He is a rescue, though, and his former owner severely abused him.
    I guess I am lucky I don't have to deal with the roof here. Hopefully you will not need a new one, just re-pounded nails. ;-) {{{HUGS}}}

  3. Awwww, condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Godspeed to King Charles III. Yes, Queen Elizabeth survived much trial and tribulation w/her children. But stood tall through it all.

OH my goodness! Lopez does NOT know which side his bread is buttered on if he growls @ you! And poor Beau, too. Hope he learns the lessons you’re teaching!

Love it! Not dressed to the 9’s, but . . . suitably enough! LOL

    Here’s to a fabulous Friday.

  6. Have you ever read the Chihuahua book, that should have been read before buying one? That and waiting awhile might have helped, your grief overtook your senses at the time. Rehire now, while he is young enough to get used to another family with time for him. Haste makes Waste. Will you need to shop tomorrow? Wonder if it will be crowded this weekend to shop. Cooling down, etc. Take care.

  7. I thought of you when I heard that the Queen had passed. She was a pretty special person. I especially liked her smile. It made her seem like a truly happy person even through all the difficulties she must have had to manage! I'm so sorry about Lopez and I don't have any suggestions for you. Perhaps he needs a little more attention - although it sounds like he's getting plenty!

  8. I would have given that dog away months ago. Sometimes we make mistakes, and sometimes we have to admit it and go on. The dog is not a good dog for an elderly couple and is not going to suddenly become one, despite all your efforts. Sorry to be unkind, but you need to reread your blogs and look at all the issues he has caused and the extra work. Find him another home and move on.
As for the queen, it is the end of an era for sure. I am sorry you never got to have tea with her.

  9. DEAR Lynda,
I was sorry to hear about the Queen's passing. She was a great Women and always seemed to have everything under control. She will be greatly missed, by all peoples around the world.

Now about little Lopez. My Mom had a chihuahua it was a stray. It was the best little dog. He loved my Mom and followed her everywhere. We never had a problem w/him biting. Maybe you can speak to a dog trainer and see what he might suggest. I would try to get that under control before he really does harm.
    Good luck - Sparkpeople 1951

  10. Condolences on the loss of the Queen. I pretty much adopted her because of family similarities, and cultural heritage. My dad used to joke that when he shook the (Germanic root) family-named tree, a lot of British/Scottish folk fell out.

Prince Edward shares a birthday with one of my sisters. My mom was born 3 years after Elizabeth, and she's been gone for 26 years now, so ... a life fully lived, Your Majesty!

Here's hoping for a good weekend and week ahead for all!
