Too bad our daughter didn't ask me when would be a good day to take Himself somewhere--It would be nice to have SOMEONE check his ears----- AND, it would've been good to have a new Health Card plus a new Driver's licence--Nothing worked out--
And--you know what?-- It would've been nice to have one of the kids drive Himself to get his ears checked--Kids never think of that!--
So, between you and me, I am "pooped"--running all over town, and accomplishing nothing--- Life is busy, living with a 93 year old who does not hear-----Oh well!-- There is always another day-- and Himself seems happy--said he didn't want to have is ears checked anyway--so, it's not worth worrying about-It must be a quiet world for him--Funny thing tho--He does hear the TV--- strange eh??-- - Lord love a Duck!
Oh my goodness! What a frustrating day! One of those days when you have to keep your wits about you (as my Mom used to say!)

We got news! MN has declared October 1 as the day the heat must be turned on in multiple dwelling units. I will finally be warm. And out elevator will be inspected on Monday. Only the weekend and part of Monday to go walking up 3 flights of stairs. I may continue doing that at times, though. My legs, especially the front of my thighs, feel so much stronger.

DeleteGood Grief! Why would the person giving you the appointment NOT know that the date was a day off, in the first place?? So they came in to work today and found out then, too?? And poor you, driving around all over the place! This world is going nuts. And your daughter in Ohio, making doctor appointments for Himself, here, not asking or telling? That’s nuts, too. Maybe she needs to see a doctor herself! I’d be angry. I’d be fed up, too. You do deserve a vacation! Truly!

Good news, I heard from DebraT (former Sparker) down in Naples, FL, that she's OK, without power, without regular internet or regular cell service, but alive and breathing... and that's good news. Thank heavens she gave me her e-mail addy when Spark shut down and I was able to contact her. So if anybody else among the readership knew her, the you have it... good news!

ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy that yu say that! The 4 grown children all got angry with me this afternoon as this Dad never got his appointment-It is rescheduled till Monday --- They never came to drive him tho-- AND I TOLD THM THAT!--- I'm becoming very vocal --LOL-LYnda
DeleteLynda only the federal regulated offices were closed, provincial were open. I know because I actually went today to get my licence and my health card renewed. Also the plate registration for the car. They have to mail them out because I had to go for a new picture this time. Plates can be done online. So hopefully you can get it done on Monday. I can't believe your daughter would make an appointment with consulting you and yes, your sons should help you out with appointments for himself. Hopefully the weekend gets better.

I'm sitting in ER all day. We went to Dr. BUT she was unable to order procedures....so....we've been here since 11am. Think we'll get out. Hubs has lots of issues so I relate to your struggles.

Deletevery frustrating and unfortunate that your kids don't get that you are dealing with all of this, all of the time. I made a point to offer to take my mom to appointments when I visited so my dad would get a break. and he took me up on it! I had to encourage him to finally get some help as I know it was too much for him. Hugs
