There is always "to-morrow"

There are some things I'd love to do  from the above--  like---"tell a jerk what you think"-- in fact I think I have done that a few times---and there are a few things I would never do--like--"spend all your cash"---I wish I could take more chances-I'm not  good at that because I worry too much---and I would never date someone totally wrong for me----and "telling someone how much they mean to me"---  I believe in that!

Whatta crazy day  here--  very humid--The AC is running--And I cannot seem to get anything done--You have probably guessed that Himself is not a happy camper to-day--It started last night when I had turned off the AC and our bedroom was very hot-- I sleep in the corner--so, when the temperature rises, there is not a wiff of air-Himself does not like a "wiff of air"----I very much wanted to move to another bedroom, but that only "upsets the applecart" (Mom's expression of course)-----Lord love a Duck! Do you ever feel like "you are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't-"-???- I think that was Mom's expression again--

This is how the day has been so far-- Perhaps things will straighten out this afternoon--  One can only hope for the best!--
Raising all my kids was never the challenge  , to-days adults must go thru-----but---  sometimes it is just best to  close my mouth and hope for the best!--It must be so frustrating for Himself---trying to deal with a "bossy woman"-- I know that--
You know when my children were young, I did used to read to them--Grimm's Fairy Tales--- Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz--People in those stories were a "bit off"-- but happy--- Maybe there is something in those Books ---Scarecrows who need brains--a tin woodman who needs a heart---

Anyway--it is lunch time-- I hope your day is going well-that you can sing out loud--- and I know to-morrow will be better !-----There is always "to-morrow"

  1. I can't sleep in a hot stuffy room so I turn the ceiling fan on to circulate the air a bit . . .if Al gets cold he covers up but usually he doesn't even really notice. The 2 of us plus the 97 lb dog equals a stuffy room most of the year. You really need to get some sleep even if you have to go to another room and upset the apple cart. You are no good to himself or you is you are sleep deprived.
Hope you day gets better. We will be watching football this afternooon.

  2. Good morning! It’s Sunday! Our favorite day. Sorry things with himself are a little up in the air today. Hope it settles down. I did email you a rain music link the other day just to listen to and maybe to help on those stressful days. I hope you got it. Stay strong! Hugs from Ohio!:) (yorkie momx2.) lol

  3. I'm not sure if we are 'adults with money' 'cause after Covid, we no longer have money! lol! OK, bad joke. I'd like to date someone totally wrong for me, oh, no, wait, I'm already married to him. OK. Enough of bad jokes. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

  4. Yesterday I visited my mother in memory care, as I do each week. It wasn't a good day for her. I was in tears after I left, for her, for me. At that time spending all my cash sounded good. She's spending all hers on this expensive place only so someone can feed and do all the things she can't do for herself, and to keep her safe. Not enjoying herself- she doesn't have the capacity for that now.. So I thought, why continue to work and work and save and save just to finally have to spend it like that?? A thought that passed, and the cautious me took over again.

Our AC is running today too. Worth every penny. I hope your day gets better this afternoon! I think I'll finally get dressed and get out to the farmers market and enjoy all the folks out there with their kids and dogs.

  5. Sorry Fred is having a off day today. I'm wondering if he feels insecure being by himself in your bedroom. If he wants you to stay in there with him and not move to the spare bedroom then tell him to cover up because you are hot and can't sleep.
We are trying to recuperate here after Davids' stay in the hospital, he is a lot weaker this time and I am having to push him a bit. We had a heart to heart this morning and I told him he gonna have to work a wee bit harder.
I guess....it is hard to say goodbye......I have been quite upset over
Queen Elizabeth passing..I don't know why, unless I thought she would live to be a 100 or more....God rest her soul....HRM was a wonderful woman.

  6. Sorry the mood is not good today. I feel badly for you and Himself, to endure it all. Sad it has to end this way for we humans. So glad your AC is on, the heat in Texas is no pleasure at all, either. Closes up so many minds. Maybe you will have family visiting. Take care.

  7. AC on in St.Louis..summer returned. I can't sleep in a stuffy room...ceiling fan plus either AC or window open if its cool.
You might just have to go in another room for sleep as you really need your rest to deal with the situation at hand. Hope Fred settles down by afternoon.
Dating someone who's wrong..did that...married him. Lol. Spending all my cash...Inflation is taking care of that. Oh well, things can always be much worse.
Have a great Sunday. Maybe kids or a grand will come over.
    Take care.
    Hugs

  8. It's cool outside today for us but the last 4 days have been very humid. I was pretty close to turning on the A/C yesterday. But although it's cooled off outside it still feels stuffy inside and I'm like you, I can't sleep when I'm too hot. My husband likes 2 full blankets and then a quilt over him in the winter - I would just die. I sleep with just one blanket. I hope it cools off for you soon - you are in Canada after all. They tell us we are getting Canadian air which is why it's cooled down - maybe we should send it back!!!

  9. Cool and damp here.
I read them to my kids, too...and Little Golden Books...and poems. I even gave my kids Robert Louis Stevenson's A Child's Garden of Verses when they had kids. And, OH! Shel Silverstein! When they got older all except my daughter lost interest in me reading to them. I'd switched to Reader's Digest for her. Our faves were the jokes and Drama in Real Life.
Isn't it hard getting the bedroom temperature just right!? I sure hear you on that one. I like to be warm but also feel the circulation of air. How many covers? Window open or closed? Fan on or off? Sigh...
I LOVE Your images. I save one now and then to share.
    It's the start of another week. May it be more good than the opposite for you and yours. {{{HUGS}}}

  11. I have never spent ALL my cash, but I've come close a few times. Some things are too important to NOT spend on. I read to my son, too, as my father read to me, and his mother to him... there is so much value to reading aloud and exercising a child's imagination! And I agree, it's harder these days.

  12. Oh goodness. So sorry it was a very rough night. **SIGH** Yes, for sure, there are times when you are damned if you do, damned if you don’t. No getting around that, unfortunately.

I read everyday to both kids and they both love reading. I am glad of that. So much to learn on the pages of those books.

Hope tomorrow is a better day.
