A sunny Sunday--

It's Sunday---
It's the "survive" thing (in the above thing about  things to do to-day!)_-that can be difficult--LOL-- ---- I have been outside shovelling--  WE had a few inches of snow overnight--I am going to grab a wee nap--with my book--then make custards and cookies ---  because it is Sunday--  --  (I don't know what that has to do with anything, but, it's nice to have a few deserts on a Sunday I always think!--)--

Himself seems OK so far to-day--  looking a bit bad with all the  patches on his face, but he seems ok--and he hasn't been out side again , alone-----

I wonder what you all are doing to-day??-- What is the weather where you live?-----  I read all your comments yesterday, on yesterday's blog-- I feel like I am a part of your life!--  (which is pretty neat)--

So, a short blog here-- which is better than no blog ----I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you all--I thought I should write  and remind you all that "staying Strong" is a must--  One never knows what a day will bring, and what if we couldn't handle it?-- Lord love a Duck!--  We CAN handle "stuff"--- because we have to!

  1. I'm glad you are having a better day and himself is doing well. We had a very cold day yesterday but it's warmed up a bit today and we have sunshine. Everything is better with sunshine. I agree with the first meme, sometimes the very act of survival is all we can hope for. My husband and I just got back from church - it was a lovely service with the choir singing several beautiful songs. But it was also very distracting with so many young children being allowed to run all over the church - with the little boy at the end of our row coughing and wiping his nose with his hand. I'm having cataract surgery in a week so we left before the service was over to make sure I didn't have any contact with that child! Have a wonderful day - oh, and you are a part of my life. I'm going to make cookies today too - seems like the right thing to do on a Sunday.

  2. I’m glad Himself seems to be mending ok. You deserve to read and nap, but if making desserts feels good, do that? We always had baked goods on the weekends, people usually stop by, family at least. Take care.

Glad that Himself is ok so far today, despite being a little tattered and torn from his fall. **SIGH**

Sunny weather today, 0C, finally the wind has died down. Feels much better.

  4. We had snow today. Glad that I don’t have to go out!
I’m finishing my Christmas decorations. I’ve added more. I’m crazy, but I love the process! It’s also a good tone to do deep cleaning.
Yesterday I went to a Christmas bazaar with my daughter and friend. It was a fun day. Bought some taffy. Will be great for some stocking stuffing.
    Your cooking sounds delightful! Yummmmm
    Have a relaxing Sunday.

  5. Good to see you powering on, Lynda. No snow here, in fact we have sunshine and nice (for December) temperatures just now. Listening to the Spanish commentary of England-Senegal match at the World Cup. I only catch about one word in any given sentence, but I do like a challenge!

Hope that wee nap refreshes you!

  6. The staying strong thing? It is said that God will not give us something we cannot handle. Sometimes we do need help...like the ER team that took care of Himself, like the sons you have that help out with snow and food...like all of us supporting each other.
It's warmer here today, over 20F and sunny.
I not doing much. It's a relaxing day for me. My friend downstairs (I call her my 'big sister')is making salmon loaf and bringing me some. I will just nuke a potato and some veggies to go with it.
Hope your day continues good...and mine, too.
    Pets must be well I guess. That's good, too. {{{HUGS}}}

  8. Another busy day here. Tues I had the flooring people come to put down the vinyl plank flooring - ALL over. You can imagine the prep work needed to get it ready for them. Well, they came, and we discovered the cement flooring was uneven. They poured cement everywhere and it had to dry 6 hours. I lived in that from 2 pm to 7 am the next day. I almost cried, it was just horrible. And I couldn't find anything i needed b/c it was piled in the garage somewhere. The next day they came at 7 am and worked til 2, I never even saw them use the toilet. My bf came back out to help and I worked from 2 pm to 3 am putting it all back AND cleaning everything - I'm a little OCD. The next day I put up Xmas decs and more cleaning. The next day the plumber finally came and put down the new toilets. We had one toilet for awhile, which was leaking. Put a pan underneath it and turned the water off in between. The bf turned the water back on to the fridge only to find out the men had not connected the water line to the fridge. BIG huge puddle to clean up - ON MY NEW FLOOR. Sat. I crashed and slept almost all day. Today was a memorial ceremony for my late cousin at the Elks Club. I missed 22 min of it b/c I thought it was just a gathering and we'd be eating. Never been to an Elks club or any other such club. Then I had to run my 89 yr old neighbor to CVS (pharmacy) and then to the Mall to buy Bath and Body Works products for Xmas gifts, and then we ate at Massey's Pizza in the mall. Whew! I was off work for 4 days, unpaid, as I'm only part time, so NEXT WEEK I plan to make up time and work from 9:30 to 6. Wish me luck there! Oh MY!

  9. P.S. The weather here in Central Ohio has been up and down. It was warm, and then it was rainy and windy and blew over my Xmas decs, then today it was really cold, but sunny. Tomorrow not bad, rain the rest of the week.
