Take the good with the bad--

--an early blog-- almost 7am--  got up at 5am to feed "the Herd"--get the washing in--and turn up the heat for Himself--- I believe I can almost turn it down  now to a livable temperature-

Just read the above saying-  "Pray For The strength To Endure A Difficult Life" --- Now isn't that so true?-

You know, when I first wake up everyday, I lay in bed going over in my head what I must do today-especially if I have to go out somewhere-those days are the most difficult for me--To-day we will not go any place--I may even get some applesauce made !---Do you have to plan your outings around the chores at home?--Do you return home exhausted?--  I am asking, because going to town to do chores never used to tire me out-- It does now-- especially if I have four places to go--two places are not so bad!

Above is the price of gasoline in Toronto--that is a Litre--  There are 4 litres in a gallon--(I think!  LOL)_the price of gasoline  in the North is higher -- (where we live)-but  not too much more-- The price seems to vary daily-- Yesterday it was down--This was sent by Son#2 the Air Canada Pilot, who is back home now.  Son #3 and Son#4 are in Toronto at a swim meet , so they all went out to a Chinese Buffet for dinner--Here are the Grandkids at this buffet--

The Buffet---  of course ""CHINESE"---

and---  the swim meet where they were  on the block-- Son #2 used to be on the Canadian National Swim Team- All the Grandkids  swim and because of their Chinese Heritage, I believe they are talented!--Maybe it's all the Chinese Food eh that makes them so talented!--  LOL
I hear Himself getting up-- Another day has begun--SUNDAY---- --  I liked the above-- -"Take the good with the Bad"----"Always Forgive"---" Learn from Mistakes"--"BUT NEVER REGRET"-----  We can do this! ---I hope your Sunday will be the best day ever----  Only WE  can make it that way--!--  until to-morrow---

  1. I love both the opening and the closing encouragements. Strong, learning, never regretting any of it, for it is LIFE, and it is what makes us US! You've got this, my friend! (( hugs ))

  3. Glad you do not need to go anywhere today. Constantly going somewhere is a stressor for sure. I still have to have groceries delivered, too many germy people out there, hospitals full, etc. sick people still going to work, school, people still dying from Covid. Despite computers, humans still have not smartened up much! Stay safe, and warm. You are taking good care of your house!

  4. Good morning! I love your pictures and my favorite place to eat is at a Chinese buffet! I take my dementia friend out and we always go there. The food is amazing and she can always eat something “new”. It is so tough to watch someone decline in health. She can be happy for a few short hours and asks the same questions over and over. I always tell her that we got this! I have a couple of good friends that go with me since it is easier for conversation and I think, more enjoyable for her. It is so tough….
Funny how the simplest things can be such a big deal. We have got to remember that we are in it together. I hope that you called for some help. I always see the look of relief from her husband when I pick her up. He went for help and goes to support groups and they have trained people that stay with her and she feels like she matters to another person. You do have to tread lightly. Sometimes, it’s like hanging with a belligerent child. They do say a circle of life. YOU got this.
    Hugs from me.

  5. Your two posters today are so true and state things that we shouldn't forget. I also tire so much faster than I did a few years ago and I find it very annoying. Things that I was able to get accomplish in a day now take two. Years ago I couldn't understand why my mom would complain about too many things to do. Now I understand and wish I had helped more than I did. Enjoy your day.

  6. Lynda, I believe as we age, everything becomes a little more difficult and things take more time than they used to. I do love the days when I can just stay home and not go anywhere. I was hoping that would be the case today, but I ate my last banana this morning and I am out of the one kind of cat food my kitties like to eat at dinner time. Soooo......maybe after I wrap some gifts and put on a load of laundry, I might venture out to the grocery store. If not today, then tomorrow. I love the quote you posted in your blog today!

  7. My dear, you have a lot of things on your shoulders, so that’s why you’re tired! Just do what you’re doing . . . . plan your outings as you are able so you don’t get too worn out.

Lovely pictures. The buffet looks huge! Hope the kids did well @ the swim meet.

  8. I do try to work my errands around what I'm doing at home. Today we were going to stop at the store after church but we didn't get up in time to make it to church. So now I don't want to go shopping either. I love the days when I can stay home all day! This morning I got up, took Daisy outside, fed her and Sheba, turned up the heat and crawled back into bed. Fell asleep too. Guess I needed it!

  11. I love the sayings in todays blog - especially the strength to endure..... And I wish you the same always. Nice pics. The Toronto price - it has just gone down to that and it probably won't last long. I think you need more days with no errands and the ability to stay home and rest. Hope today is a good day.

  13. I am glad you also say the words of your posters. I can read your typing, but not the posters. I am still on my phone hope I will get pc up tomorrow.
I love Chinese food as well as most Asian food. Mexican, too. I grew up eating MI farm food. It was fine but not as flavor filled as those I mentioned.
I do plan my outings. Sometimes I need to go somewhere unexpected when another resident needs a driver. Most give me gas $
Chores di tire me, too. That's true especially if I have neglected them for a few days. Then I need to so lots on the same day.
Have a great week ahead! [[[AaHUGS]]]
