It's coming-- To-nite is NEW YEARS EVE---What are you all doing?-Will you be up to see the ball drop?--I won 't be--but--it is fun to see everyone else celebrating---and-- saying hello to January-- a whole new year! I am heading out to buy bananas --and lettuce --and milk-- and oranges--Lord Love a Duck-The list goes on and on-- We have had huge heavy wet snow, falling off the roof--The whole house shakes as it hits a deck --or the ground-Of course it has been mild---and with the steel roof, it just slides off--No New Years Resolutions--just to be alive I guess----Thank you for all your kindness about my terrible awful day yesterday--a day of crying-- and crying-- At least all the tears are gone to-day-- I read all your suggestions and appreciated that you cared ---Thank yu--
Himself and Lopez will come with me shopping , but wait in the car --- of course -- I do need bananas--when all the "hoopla" is over, I believe the Lady below has the right idea---*S*
Stay strong--NO MORE TEARS--LOLOL--
Happy New Year!! Donna_cps2

DeleteNope, don’t think I’ll make it till midnight, but that’s all right. Plan on a quiet evening w/a fire in the fireplace, some bubbly and maybe a movie.
ReplyDeleteYou know what, it’s OK to cry! It’s healing, cathartic, necessary!
Wishing you a peaceful, quiet New Years Eve and New Year.
MANY hugs

Margene--- same as me--no staying up-- 9pm is about it! And yes, Himself and Lopez sat in the car-- one has to be strong eh?-- In I went-- It used to be always Himself who was the shopper--Life changes eh?-- But-- I am not crying and I hired the neighbour to help with the snow-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteHappy New Year to one and ALL! I like to watch the fireworks from Dallas on tv, I’ll set it to record, because I probably won’t stay awake, anyway. Nothing is the same, after becoming a widow. But oh well. I hope the store is not too crowded for you to shop quickly, and the prices don’t scare you. Eggs seem to have flown up in price, which they usually do in winter. But they are a good protein. Hope you can have a relaxing New Year!
ReplyDeleteWell, the prices really were scarey--but-- I got it done-- The store was busy----I suppose nothing is the same without yer partner-- Too bad yu don't live closer--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteHappy New Year, Lynda!
ReplyDeleteMarti-Happy New Year to you-- We made it into another year-Lynda
DeleteWe always DO stay up until midnight to see the new year ushered in…DH and myself will be at home… people that we usually celebrate with have Covid…so the 2 of us will have a nice dinner (prepared by me) watch the festivities on TV, and toast 2023. We quit going out years ago…too dangerous with all the people drinking and driving!! I am glad that we have been Spark friends for many years and I hope that we continue for many, many more! Happy New Year, Lynda! ❤️ Eissa7
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful for SPARKLY friends--and, yes, we will be home here and all is better today-- always is eh in the morning-Lynda
DeleteI probably won't be up to watch the ball drop, either. If I'm lucky, I'll get the tree stripped of its decorations and ready for its next phase of life.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours!
"The next phase of life"--- I love it--We just might "hit the hay" too before Midnite---- Happy New Year my friend!-Lynda-
DeleteHappy New Years Eve Lynda. No, you simply cannot do everything. It
ReplyDeletewill be cheaper in the long run to hire someone to sit with Fred and do some of the outside work. I am thankful you are okay today and not weeping, and believe me, I cried a bushel of tears over our situation, but at least I don't have to worry about mine either burning the house down, falling and being injured or having a rage fit because I am gone. You do need a little time away....your mind is strong, but even the strong must have a break. Hence me crying in the car where no one can hear..................
Wow Darlene-- Were yu crying too??-- What are yu dong this evening?--- We shall be here-- and its a new day and so far-all is well-- It better stay that way-*S* Lynda
DeleteGlad everything is much better today and himself and Lopez went to the store with you. And happy you got the neighbour locked in to doing your driveway. Should make himself feel better as you will be in the house more! I don't plan to stay up until midnight either - never do. Hopefully the dog doesn't hear fireworks so she will go to sleep ok. Happy New Year to you and Fred and the fur babies.
ReplyDeleteLynda, you will cry again. It's a way to cleanse ourselves of pent up emotion. Like laughing, shouting, raging. We express the emotions we feel. It's not good to keep it inside.
ReplyDeleteI believe you are feeling that cleansing. Don't ever 'beat yourself up' for expressing your emitions!
Did you ever get your hair done on that, I believe, bad snow day?
I just ate my banana so will get more tomorrow.
As I am pet sitting, I have one more run to the other side of town to let the dogs out. Both of them and all four cats have been fed, have fresh water, etc. Their mamas will be back tomorrow.
I wish all five of you and your extended family a healthy, happy and prosperous 2023. {{{HUGS}}}
Took Christmas tree down and carried all my decorations to the basement. Vacuumed the carpet, showered and went to mass at 4:30, came home and fixed myself a bite to eat and now I am in my PJ's having a glass of wine! Happy New Year to me....hahaha! Will not stay up until Midnight, but will be awakened I am sure as I live on the outskirts of town sort of in the country and the people out here think it is cool to shoot guns off at midnight! So I will surely be awakened to greet the new year! Wishing you health and happiness in 2023, Lynda!
ReplyDeleteWe watched the Ohio State game, it wasn't over until after midnight, we tried to kick a 50 yard field goal, and lost, by ONE point. We quickly switched over to Dick Clark, but missed the ball drop. We posed in some 2023 glasses, blew some horns, and went to bed, LOL.
