Son#2 is en route to Miami--this AM--hopefully he can get back into Toronto, this evening. It seems that airports are very affected right now! --This was PEARSON AIRPORT early this am----not too bad- --
Hopefully you are ready for "the big day"---maybe break out a beer-- relax--- listen to a lot of "fa-la-la-la" music---- put up yer feet --- sing--- and of course, hug your pets-- and your loved ones-- ------There is good news--Yesterday was the shortest day of the year--To-day we will have a wee bit more daylight -- We are -alive-- because we are strong wonderful people-- and hopefully this world will see a peaceful New Year--
We can all ask the jolly old guy for this---- and------pray------for Peace!
Well, I wish son #2 a safe trip home! Yes, flights are being cancelled all over the place – it’s a pity this is happening right now. **SIGH**
ReplyDeleteYes! We have gotten into lengthening days. Thank goodness!
Wishing you a peaceful and SAFE holiday.

Son#2 is supposed to return to-morrow--I just hope he can get into Pearson--Merry Christmas girl! Lynda
DeleteWeather can sure mess with us, can't it? It's bitter cold down here. Hope you stay safe and warm, and that son #2 makes it home safe, too.
ReplyDeletehi Barb--I hope yu have lotza love over the Christmas Holidays-- bitter cold here too-Lynda
DeleteBest idea ever! A self cleaning house. I dearly hope the storm won't hit you and that you and all your dear ones are safe and cozy.
ReplyDeleteI know --a self cleaning house would be the best thing ever!-- LOL--- Hugs and I wish yu a joyful Xmas-Lynda
DeleteA self cleaning house is one of the best ever ideas. Wouldn't it be great? Hope you were able to get your hair done. We haven't had anything yet and today is supposed to be only rain. Tomorrow is the issue. I hope you don't get it real bad although the north is supposed to get it bad too. Hope son #2 makes it back ok and tonight if possible. And get the snowplow guy to clean the driveway.
ReplyDeleteYes a self cleaning house would be the best!--And yes, I did get my hair done--It felt SO good! -Lynda
DeleteI hope you made it out for hair day. We are expecting the same here in Ohio. I so hope we do not lose power but they are saying it is likely. No generator or backup heat. If I were your son, I would stay in Miami for a bit. lol I brought up the snowblower today so my husband won't have to when he gets home tonight. It is the same as yours. Remember, me telling you how simple it was and that you would do great with it!? I would send you a cleaning lady, if I could. One of our yorkies got sick last night so lots of bedding to wash today along with regular laundry and cleaning. Our job is never done. Especially, with pets. These two little yorkies keep us hopping! It's been a Sadie kinda day! Please stay safe and warm, Lynda. Happy Holidays to you and yours!:)
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't lose power. Stay in and stay warm. I'm sure your house is clean enough!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting the same storm here in St.Louis. I pray we don't loose power.
ReplyDeleteBrutal day with wind, ice, snow.
Stay safe and warm.
Lynda, I thought we were going to ask Santa for a self-cleaning house!
ReplyDeleteI have read that peace on earth will happen only when everyone has peace within.
It is -32.222 here figuring in the wind chill. And we have had the most snow! No more snow forecasted for a few days...but very cold and winds up to 50-60 MPH!
When I moved to Minnesota my daughter asked me if I was sure I wanted to cuz of the severe weather in the winter. I assured her that being born in MI and living so many years in Chicago, I could do it. Now I'm wishing I lived in a place with NOT so severe winter weather!
I do hope you can get to your relaxing hair appointment and that your power does not go out!
I keep telling myself...and again I'll tell you...that Spring will come! {{{HUGS}}}
I’m glad you had your hair done, after all. We are freezing in Texas. Terrible wind chill. -6 wind chill in the morning. Not normal. Be careful when you do all that stuff outside. Take care.
