Have a simply wonderful Day

So---- just because you are 80 years young , doesn't mean that you are "older than old"--Lord love a Duck! --- I mean, I was feeling a tad sorry for myself before yesterday came----  then, we all decided that a virtual party was in the works-- and everybody came--It really was fun planning  this party--  Some of you brought calorie-less cakes--some brought foods chucked full of calories--Daisy the dog came and Lopez and Beau loved her--Wasn't it just the best party ever?----  It shows that  because a person might be up in years----we sure can dream--Thank yu one and all!
And Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot dropped some of you back home last night as he had to travel to California, in the Dreamliner--but I hear he put all the Birthday people in First Class-- --He is there now--returning to Toronto this evening--

And my family sure came thru--flower arrangements, veggie platters-- phone calls-- AND---  2 of the Grandchildren were dancing last evening in town. I REALLY wanted to go, but I tried not to give it too much thought as I did not want to leave Himself alone-- BUT___  Son #4 called and said he would come out and sit with his Dad so I could go and see the dancers--- the family came thru- for a young 80 year old Lady--  Holy cow! -

So----  I suppose, no matter what age we are--- life is good! ---and, don't you find, the older we are, the wiser we are?--  It is kinda nice! ---I certainly appreciated that all of you took time out of your day to dream along with me-- Thank you SO much again!

And now, this jolly old soul, who might be 1000's and 1000's of years old---  is going to arrive  soon--and we must figure out how to  get the chimney ready for him-- Will he fit?---  And the roof must hold all his reindeer--  And there will be a lot of "HO H0-HO-ing going on--- I hear that he has  to deliver a lot of "2 front teeth"---  for some seniors as all they want for Christmas is their 2 front teeth-Lord love a Duck!

I must get off of here--We have a mixture of snow and rain falling- outside--Himself seems pretty good this morning--

--- Always Dream a little-- Take care of your pets-- They enjoy this festive Season also---

  2. Good morning Lynda. I'm so happy that you had such a wonderful 80th birthday with friends and family. You're a lovely lady and deserved it all.

My children surprised me with a party when I turned 80 and I look forward to them doing that on my 90th too! Wishful thinking on my part but hey, I only have 3 more years to go, then another super nice party!

I'm also glad your son came to stay with Fred last night so you could go and watch your grandchildren dancing. What an awesome birthday you had and your family came through beautifully too!

Love and many hugs to you, Fred and your fur babies xoxo

  12. I had a great time at the party, and can report that Son#2 is a fine pilot, navigating to get all of us home safely! You are so loved by all your readers, and 80 is looking younger every day from down here at 70.

Glad your family did their bit and you got to see your dancing grandchildren! Onward to the next year of adventures!

  13. Happy Belated Birthday! So glad that your family made your birthday special! Reading your blog made me tear up! It was supposed to be my grandson's 16th birthday party - but his mom woke up with covid and so the party had to be called off. Made me sad for him, so I drove to meet my son and met him in the town where they live and gave him my grandson's gifts! Finished up some Christmas shopping while I was out so it made it a worthwhile trip! PS - you look great for 80!
