Another day--another dollar--- (well ---not really!)

-The above is a picture of the ice forming on the lake--just beginning -Of course no-one would go on it yet-probably not till well into  January-When yu look across the lake, yu can see the sun coming up,  over the trees--

We have son#2 the Air Canada Pilot here --- I think he is planning on returning  to Toronto on Friday--Himself had to go in to have his sutures removed yesterday-- the Dr could only remove 2 sutures-- so he will go back in about 5 days to see if the rest can be removed-- There is such a large scab on his forehead which is covering the rest of those sutures.---

When we left the clinic , it was in "whiteout conditions"-- AND DARK---so , the trip north --home-- was not a pleasant one. We wheeled Himself into the clinic on a wheel chair---son#2  did it--- -- That is not an easy process---

The above is a picture of Son#2 the Air Canada Pilot --with little Lopez on his cushion (which he has claimed as "His Cushion"-)-Lopez loves that blanket that he is lying on-- He came with that blanket wrapped around him-

So, I am about ready to go out and try that EGO  battery snowblower---  I had a lesson yesterday --Son#2 has been such a great help!-

-- until to-morrow----Be strong--stronger than yu ever imagined yu could be!

  1. I love the photo of Son #2 with little Lopez chillin' out next to him. And how cute that he loves his arrival blanket. I'm so glad you have some help right now and how wonderful that you can practice with the snowblower while your son is there to advise if you need it. After my husband left us in 1993 it was MY job to use the huge snowblower on our very long driveway. The first time it snowed was on Thanksgiving so once the turkey was in the oven I had to get dressed and do the driveway (my parents were coming for dinner). Honestly, I cried it was so hard, and so cold. I didn't have the proper clothes to be out there. But once I bought better winter clothes and figured out how it worked - well, I made it through 2 winters on my own!

  2. Gorgeous picture! Thanks for sharing.

Awwwww, love the picture of son #2 and Little Lopez next to him on this little throne!

I am so glad for you that DS #2 is there for you and hope HE can see what’s going on and maybe fill the siblings in on what’s what!

  3. Gorgeous lake picture.
I'm so happy pilot son is there helping out a bit. Wish he could stay longer!! Hoping he'll come back soon. Cute picture of son and Lopez. Trip to Dr. sounded rough. Sorry. I do hope you get some help and soon. I really wish son would do your snow blowing but I understand you want practice.
Take care of YOU please. Play your piano.
    Hugs

  4. Great photo of your son and Lopez!
I am glad you will have an easier time with the snow between your neighbor, sons and the new machine!
Today I am taking a friend shopping. He has no transportation right now. I like to help people out. Makes me feel good and them, too.
    Pretty cold here! 25F. The sun is shining, though, and no more snow is forecast until tomorrow. Then there is a 66% chance. That's when my $ to do my shopping (and pay bills...ugh). We deal. We are stronger than we think, according to a lovely on-line friend of mine...the one who lives in Canada. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. Sounds as though this has been a great help, having Son #2 there to help out for a few days. Good luck with the snow blower!

  6. Beautiful picture of the lake and also of son #2 with little Lopez beside him. Too bad Son # 2 doesn't live closer as he seems like a real help to you. Hopefully Himself will be able to have the rest of the sutures removed in five days. Best of luck with the snowblower. Enjoy your visit with Son #2 .

  7. Great pictures. Hope the pilot saw what's going on. You'll need to see if you can find someone to go back to the clinic with you and himself next week so they can help you with a wheelchair, etc. Have a good night.

  8. So glad you had some help from your son! How did the snowblower do? Was it strong enough to really blow? And not hurt you, I mean. Not easy to do that stuff alone. Take care, hope next time. You take Himself some help comes.

  9. having son #2 there must have been a big relief. Too bad all of them could not come for a few days each week. #2 is a good lad...

  10. I love the photo of Son #2 and little Lopez. (Since I'm not the mother, I can play favorites, and Son #2 is my favorite of your children. Just saying.) I don't know if Canada issues disabled parking permits as they do in the U.S., but that would be very helpful when shopping or when taking Himself to appointments. In my state, it involves taking a note from the doctor to the motor licensing department.
