I promise -This is my last dog!-- *S*

It is a dark cold morning here--minus 13 C outside--  It's a  day that I must venture out for bananas-- PLUS-- everything else--To-morrow a snowstorm is supposed to hit us--but--it looks like the brunt of the storm , will be in the Southern part of Ontario.---

I  hope you all are packing your bags- with your smiles--- getting ready to meet son#2 that Air Canada Pilot-- -to come to a Birthday Party , here-- on the 16th-I have a list of Airports where  the pilot son can pick each of you up--  --Perth Airport in Australia--Tampa or Clearwater/St Petes , Hamilton, Toronto, Austin Bergstrom International in Texas,  Minneapolis/ St Paul International   with Daisy and  her Mom, - The list is long but Son #2 says he can handle it-- make sure you let me know where he can get you-

I saw the above--- It made me laugh--  I remember, over the years, after we had lost a Shepherd, and, begging Himself for a new puppy-- and always promising   that it would be our last dog----It never was!--Over the years we have had SO many  canines-----
Live in the present--- and make it beautiful!--  Some days, hard to do--  but--- it does make for a better day--It is still dark here---I must go out with big Beau, in case that Coyote is lurking around-  I shall be thinking of you all-- Hopefully your day will be a good day-- SMILE----

  1. Yes, I’ll definitely be at my airport in Clearwater/St. Pete to meet your Sons plane…cannot wait to celebrate with you!! It is wonderful that you are hosting so many old Spark pals!! Our past holds so many memories BUT today IS the day we get to live RIGHT NOW…love your poster reminder! We have tons of coyotes around my area…every morning at the park where I walk with friends, we see 1-3 of them…they just look at us and walk on BUT, Lopez would definitely be in danger! ❤️ Eissa7

  2. Dogs and cats are awesome companions. Once you know how nice they are it's difficult not to have them. Safe trip finding bananas. Happy Wednesday. I hope your pilot son comes to Costa Rica's airport! lol

  3. I know . . . I've said the same thing about Miss Lilly -- she's the caboose. But truth is, ya just never know! LOL

Bags packed w/smiles included and hope the weather behaves. It'll be 28 w/snow here in WI. So I'll dress warmly while waiting @ the airport!

  4. Love the quote about not crying over the past and living in the present....sometimes hard to do when memories of my beloved husband pop up.....but we can't change the past! One day at a time, one foot in front of the other, keep going forward are my mantras these days. And yes, our fur babies are a comfort to us in so many ways.

  5. It's a good idea to stock up with groceries. These days who knows what these blasted storms will bring. I heard tornadoes in Texas last night. We had mostly rain yesterday and slush today. Of course, yesterday was my 1st Cataract surgery and we had to be at the post op at 8 a.m. this morning. It was tough driving on the in-town roads but once we got to the freeway things eased up - and thankfully I didn't have to drive! More snow coming overnight and we have to go to my daughters to help with the little ones for a few hours. Again, I am so grateful that my husband is a great driver and actually likes driving, because that's not my favorite thing anymore! Safe travels to the store!!!

  6. You always have the best posters. It is true that happiness starts with each of us and can spread to others that we are in contact with. A smile and kind word goes a long way. Enjoy your day.

  7. Yes, take Beau out with you, he's a good protector. I swore no more pets after Diamond left for the rainbow bridge eleven years ago, but these cats backed their way into my life! They do that, don't they... worm their furry way into our hearts and homes.

Looking forward to the party on Friday! I will be waiting at the airport for that big ol' Dreamliner!

  8. I sure would love to be there to celebrate with you. Your son can (virtually) pick me up at Port Columbus (Ohio) airport. BUT, for 80, I think he should take us all to a secluded tropical island somewhere where we can all frolic and play in the waves - or just grill on the beach! With maybe a pina colada in our hands! :)

  9. Add me to the list for Minneapolis/Saint Paul. I can hardly wait!
We have a weather advisory for tomorrow, too. 3 to 9 PM. We will have to dig out to go places. You are wise to get your errands done today.
I have had many pets, too: cats, dogs, mice, a gerbil and a turtle. Oh, and my ex husband got us salt water fish! Loved them all.

  10. Wahoo! Can’t wait for the birthday party! Please pick me up in Boise, Idaho! If it’s not a bother, I will bring my 88 pound Golden doodle. He would love to play with Beau and Lopez! The flight would be fun for us! Hee hee
