A Trip to France---

We have 2 very ugly bananas left --and you know what that mens??--  IT"S BANANA DAY!--and, it is cold outside--light snow fell overnight-----AND_____

Son#2 is on his way back to Montreal--Yesterday however, he took you on a tour of  the highlights of Paris--France-- Of course, the first place he stopped at was a bakery around the corner from his hotel--He wanted to show you all the buttery delicious bakery items-

Then he was off to------(where else?) --to McDonald's of course---down a famous street--the Champ de Elysees--(probably the spelling is wrong here!)-and------ there it is--a McDonalds---

and--he found the Arc de Triumph --

----and this--------the famous tower-
so---- WE are back to normal---  little Lopez is over his  bathroom problems--=and his  temper troubles-

-I hope that your day will be great!-and---that you will believe in yourself---some days seem impossible--- but--when you tackle whatever--head on ---it is amazing  what "you " can accomplish-Just look at what an 80yr old , old woman did--- survived looking after 4 dogs , for 4 days-and we ALL were just fine!

  1. Such beautiful pictures that your son sent. It is great that he loves his job and as a bonus sees all these lovely sights and gets to taste the goodies from all of the places. Thanks for sharing . I really hope that the snow stops falling in your area. Enjoy your day.

  2. I loved being taken to Paris! Even the Maccas (as we call McDonalds here)! The bakery looked like a squillion billion calories but if I were visiting Paris, I'd never mind those calories and enjoy the buttery goodness! One must have priorities, and I think I'd only be visiting the city but once in my life, so enjoying all it has to offer is important. Make memories and take photos. Thank goodness for Son #2 to share with us as he explores these great places. I flew on a Dreamliner from Sydney Australia to Houston Texas - it was a very long trip but the fancy seats upfront (which are out of my ordinary price range) are very comfy. I was treated to an upgrade since my Son #2 works for United in Houston. United is really amazing about treating all their 'Moms' wonderfully. I even got a pair of comfy pj's! I'm so glad that the wee doggy is happier today and not so grouchy. Poor thing. I can relate. I finally got my antibiotics and I am feeling much more like myself too!

  4. The day is starting well here. Carl is still in residence, all the way to next Monday evening, and he's being good and settling in. Two nights in a row he let Grandma (that's me) sleep soundly. He's keeping my yard clear of squirrels, but the cats still have not warmed up to him. When I went out to refill The Prisoner's outside dish this morning, I got miaowed at and rubbed up against. Of course I petted him and reminded him that I'd really like it if he and Carl made peace!

  5. Loved the pics from Paris, brought back fond memories. I went to that McDonalds when it first opened! Loved that they serve beer and wine.I went to school at the American University of Paris in the 70’s and loved every minute of it. Lived there for 6 years. To the person above that commented about eating all the buttery pastries because it would be one time only, as a “starving student” I was known to eat nothing but pastries for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a regular basis!
Hope your done with the snow and Spring has sprung up North

  6. Just got back from visiting my son in California! Had awesome warm, sunny weather and I got to spend lots of time with my youngest grandson! We celebrated my 76th birthday and had a great time. I was happy to get home last night! My cats missed me, even though I had a granddaughter house/cat sitting for me! I was in Paris, France several years ago and I stayed in the hotel right besides the McDonald's in your son's picture! Walked down there every morning for a week to have coffee! It was very strong and in tiny cups! Paris was an awesome place to visit and your son's pics brought back lots of pleasant memories!

    2. My dear Linda, there was a point where my Mom got so enraged @ Dad, pounding fists, yelling. I thought I was going to have to call the police because she was pushing BOTH of us. Dad was 6 ft. 2..5 in. but was no match for her strength. For sure, me @ 4 ft. 10.5 in. and 100 lbs. could not begin to defend myself if she decided to hit me. She shoved us a few times, Jason got involved, we got her calmed, but it scared me to no end! That was shortly before BOTH Mom and Dad had medical emergencies that ended them in the hospital (Jan. 01, 2017) and ultimately in the care facility.

BE CAREFUL! Honestly, DO take those angry outbursts very seriously. You just do not know how strong he can be!

  8. It's Kathy. How fun to see pictures from France, and those Bakery items look so delicious. There was a story on CBS News this morning of a bakery in New York - what wonderful and unique breads this baker makes. I wish I could bake like that! We have sunshine and a warmer day today, I'm off to take Daisy for a walk although I think I'd rather take a nap!!! Have a good day.

  11. I already knew you are amazing. I guess it's right that I am, too.
All the fat and calories in the bakery look yummy! Wonder if the McDonald's menu is the same as ours.
Your son has a wonderful job.
I still have 3 bananas, so will wait a day or two before shopping.
Nothing much doing where I am. Sunny this morning, now cloudy and chillier. Every day it gets a bit warmer in the afternoon and not quite so cold at night.
Had to take my 'big sister' friend to the Emergency Room late yesterday afternoon. She thought she was having another stroke. She had one already and has a pacemaker. She got so dizzy she was afraid she'd fall. Turns out her heart is good and no stroke. She was given a med for the dizziness.
We do a lot for those we love.
Glad Lopez is behaving. I know Beau and Sushi are.
    My meowie alarm clock got me up way too early this morning, so it will be an early night for me. {{{HUGS}}}
