Anything is possible ---

It's Easter weekend---I hope that you are enjoying the weekend, where ever yu are!  ---  It is sunny here, but still below zero--- BUT---  I hear Wednesday it will be plus 15C-- I simply can't imagine, but, it might be the beginning of the big melt down.

So---- son #2, the Pilot, is in Brazil-He has already been to McDonald's--To-day, he is flying down the coast and back--to Argentina--then back to Brazil--then  home-
He sent some pictures of the McDonalds where he is this morning--in Sao Paulo,

Brazil-

--cheese Bread --apparently a Brazilian favourite-

-and last nights dinner--

WE have some funny looking bananas--- WE need go get some fresh bananas----off to the grocery we shall go--

I hope that yu enjoy the next 2 days-- It's a Holiday weekend-- We can do whatever we want--

We can walk outside--  be happy-- and act  crazy if we wish--  Hmmmmm---  That will be wonderful---
--just enjoy your time--You are alive---Isn't that the greatest?---  Our ancestors are watching over us--

  1. I do love looking at Son #2s food photos in different countries. I would dearly love to try cheese bread. It just sounds like something I'd like. When I visited my sisters who live outside Atlanta, Georgia, I saw a few Brazilian restaurants and would have liked to try them but we ended up having Chinese / Asian instead and I do love Chinese food so I didn't mind but now I wished I'd made more effort to treat them to a Brazilian menu. Alas! Maybe next time! I'm not sure when that will be - it takes a lot of energy to fly all the way from here to there. (Sometimes it's as long as 28-36 hours. Leaving here, I saw two sunsets in one day and on the way back, saw two sunrises. Really weird!

I did not have a stent put it on Thursday. My body was being difficult and they tried for 3hrs to find a vein to sedate me. I'm bruised everywhere. They finally used a vein in my groin area. Oh my, I am glad it worked quick and I was out. But by then the doctor who was the one in charge of finding a vein, had worn himself out (Junior doctor, I might add - they're called Registrars here). Doing the xray part where they have a camera inside the body, he kept trying to get a good view of everything and there's a white board that is attached to a machine that the doctor controls. The board is so the xray has something to be against as a contrast type thing, I think. Any way, I woke up during the procedure because I got hit square on my face not once, not twice but THREE times by that board and each time a nurse called out 'watch out!', which made me open my eyes and see the board coming down on me but couldn't move. So there was nothing I could do. It was not long after the 3rd time the doctor declared he was done and I was moved to a room to recover. I'm going to write a letter of complaint as there really should have been a supervising experienced doctor who would have suggested trying the groin area much earlier in the game, which would have led to a much less stressed and tired Registrar, plus maybe there would have been some educating moments in regard to controling that board, I'm sure there'd be a setting to tell it where to stop! Luckily it was light, but I'd been through so much by then. Given the kind of day the guy was having, I am really super GLAD he decided not to do a stent and I will be very happy to just have meds to open the blockages. My word.

So I'm having a very quiet Easter just recovering from the whole trauma-drama and I think I'll do some nice cooking or baking tomorrow (which is Easter Sunday here). I might try to make cheese bread! The friend that stayed with me overnight surprised me with a big chocolate bunny before leaving on Friday morning. I've been saving the bunny for tomorrow. ❤️ 🐇

  4. I can buy Bread Cheese in Wisconsin but it is flat and looks like a slice of bread. Barely warm it up and it is soft and delish. Just cheese, no dough. Gets the name from the appearance and I believe it is roasted or something to give it a toasted look.

  7. Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter! I am fixing the whole dinner for my kids and grandkids. Ham, sweet potatoes, scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole, slaw, rolls, relish tray and deviled eggs. Baked a carrot cake this afternoon for the dessert. Have Easter eggs with candy and money in plastic eggs ready to hide tomorrow! I love it that my kids and grandkids will be here to celebrate Easter with me and I don't mind doing all the cooking as I do it a little at a time so that it is minimal prep on Easter day! It is good for me to keep busy as then I don't feel sorry for myself because I no longer have my sweet husband to celebrate with me. Of course my California son, his wife, and grandson will not be here, but I am going to fly out to see them in 2 weeks.....Have had to cut the grass here once already and will have to do it again on Monday. I didn't do it today, even though it needs it as I need the grass to be a little longer to hide all those eggs for the 6 grands that will be here! So happy to hear that you are finally getting some relief from winter weather, and it tickles me that your Son#2 likes McDonalds! He is so sweet to keep such close touch with you as he travels about the world!

  9. It's Kathy. Love the photos. McDonald's looks so different in Brazil. My son attended a wedding in Sao Paulo when he was in the Peace Corps in Paraguay. We have had a very nice day today and it will be warmer tomorrow. Daisy and I took a nice walk and she was so happy. It's going to be 78 degrees on Wednesday - crazy when we had a big snow storm and blizzard warnings one week ago! Have a nice Easter!

  10. Yes, Lynda, I am enjoying the weekend. Had a great time at karaoke last night with our favorite deejay.
To day it is 'free' Bingo in our Community room. When we win a game, we will get a paper lunch bag filled with goodies. This is to be followed by a meal...potluck.
I am contributing my broccoli cheese casserole. It's like the classic green bean casserole, but uses cheddar cheese soup and broccoli. Shredded cheddar melted on top. The crispy onions on a layer inside and more on top.
I am very tired after a restless sleep...and going to bet late. Bet it will be an early night for me tonight.
Wonderful weather here, too. Sunny, 50F, and the tree across the street is turning green!
    Let's make it a great week, too. By seeing the good stuff. {{HUGS}}}
