Here's to all of you!

Good Day to you!--It is cold---but supposed to warm up to-day, before a cold front passes through  this evening---I have been busy getting rid of winter clothing that doesn't fit anymore----moving summer clothing up-- taking winter clothing down--to another closet---The seasons, they are a-changing! ---in Canada, it is a lot of work as the seasons change--

Well, my  oldest brother, was finally moved into a Long Term Care residence -His telephone has not been connected yet, so I have no idea how he is doing--or--if he has escaped--which, I feel he probably will do--It's tough getting to a point where one cannot take care of yourself in a good way-- like forgetting yer meds-- not able to buy groceries, or-drive a car--and no-one near , to help ---I feel , moving to a long term place is the best thing for him, but--- I know he was so against it----  I have a feeling that one day , I'll open my front door, and in he will walk-----I think I would "freak out"---  so, right now, with absolutely no contact with him, I worry---like "Is he in that residence?--Did he escape?"-----  My heart does go out to him ---and I do pray he is OK--

Anyway, it is Sunday------I do love Sundays--Do you?---  It should be a "day of rest"----which it doesn't seem to be  anymore, here--but----  it is a day to slow down--not have to go anywhere, day!--

The above made me smile--- 9pm now, to me seems pretty much, like bedtime-- Is it that way at yer house?--Himself and I used to always watch Johnny Carson---or whoever was hosting a late show--and we still got up early to get all the kids to school and everything that had go be done----for sure, bedtime is much earlier now!

Of course  you are stronger than you think!-----enjoy your Sunday---  Oh--I must tell you, that I bought 3 new Hummingbird feeders  yesterday--Each feeder feeds 6 birds--    AND----- I found an electric can opener too----They seem to be a "thing of the  past-"-  I was pretty excited about that, as I struggle to open those cans with the openers that you have to crank open.
Be brave enough---- Enjoy your Sunday---We are in this day and only we can make it special! There is always light---if we are brave enough to see it---or--to see that light-

"Here's to all of you!"

  2. Oh my goodness, Lynda. Prayers that your brother is safely in the care facility and he’ll adjust to it. It is not ideal, for sure. BUT really, no other options to choose from, apparently.

Yes, Sunday is never a day of rest, but I’ll settle for slowing down!

Ohhhhhhh yes. 9 pm is definitely bedtime. LOL! Back in the day, my evening was just getting started @ 9 pm.

Huh . . . had no idea that electric can openers were so difficult to find. Glad you found one!

    Cheers to you (and Himself!)

    Hugs

  3. Hope you can relax some today. Yes, Sunday used to be when relatives came by, to chat and drink coffee and eat wonderful baked goods. And supper around the table with German bread and fixings. I hope you don’t get too much company, but I know you like to see your grand kids. Good luck with the hummingbird feeders!

  4. I pray your brother is doing ok, too. It was really nice here in Ohio until a bit ago the rain came and storms later tonight. Yes, I love Sundays, as you know. It is a day that I don't put my watch on trying to get in my workout minutes and steps. I am doing a load of laundry but just feels good to be free of a set routine. I thought of you the other day. It was National put everything down and read a book day. Something like that. lol I was hoping you were able to do just that. We do go to bed much earlier than we used to. The yorkie we lost in January used to have us up a time or two during the night but my younger female sleeps all night so that is nice. Being retired military my husband still gets up very early every day. I love the hummingbirds and see them sometimes but I don't feed them anymore. Too many ants and bees around here. Enjoy your Sunday and have a great new week ahead!:)

  5. NO washer or dryer at the place we are currently renting while our new home is being renovated…so, I toted 3 loads of laundry to the laundromat this morning…no rest for me! Just grateful that one is convenient near by; I’ll certainly appreciate my own when we move into the house!!
I feel sorry for your brothers situation but YOU certainly have no room in your schedule to accommodate him; let’s hope he does NOT find the way to your house!
    Have a peaceful day! Eissa7

  6. Hope your brother is ok. I imagine they have extra people watching out for him as he just got there. It sure is a pain living in Canada with our weather. Maybe you should give some of those clothes away if you plan on being out of there next winter. I love hummingbirds. They’re so tiny & colourful. Nice that you have so many around. Supposed to start rehab at the hospital tomorrow-transferred to that unit. Hopefully all goes well & I’m not there too long. Have a good day. Brenda

  7. Lynda, happy stuff here except for your dear brother. Could you call the facility and be sure he didn't escape? Wonder who his emergency contact is...?
Cold here, too...and snowing lightly. No more snow in the forecast, but our 70s and warmer will be gone for a while. March came in like a lion and left like one, too. Now we have a little lion cub.
I only have one banana so will have to go out later.
Tomorrow will be business phone calls. Hopefully, my Sadie will get floors vacuumed and washed. Today she did 2 loads of laundry and changed the bed sheets. The older I get, the less I seem to do in a day. A couple years ago I could have, shopped, did laundry, changed sheets, cleaned floors and exercised, too. Not so much anymore.
I figure the chores won't go away. Some will wait for the morrow...or the following day.
I have not seen hummingbirds here, but if I did, I'd get feeders, too. Good for you!
    Let's make the new week a rewarding. {{{HUGS}}}

  9. It is hard to get older, everything changes. My husband and I talked about that this morning. Today has been a restful day for me. It's been snowing all day and it really cold outside so it feels good to just relax and do things I enjoy. Sorry about your brother, I hope you hear from him soon.

  10. I HOPE your brother settles down in the facility. Sure hope he doesn't try to escape.
I've been working on switching out seasonal clothes too. Tiring me out up and down the steps.
We had severe storms last night and its only 40F today down from 82F yesterday. Need winter clothes today.
Oh YES 9PM is getting ready for bed time. I do get up early 6AM but bedtime does come early.
    Enjoy your day.
