-The Robins return to the North!

A brand new day---to get things right-- --- so nice! ---  Of course we have sunshine--- and milder temperatures.  I was on that Dreadmill already-14  minutes--and a few weights and back stretches--but--the sciatica is still with me--Sciatica is horrible---  Hope it goes away soon!

AND--Guess what I saw this morning?---a ROBIN---chirping away in the dog pen, on a telephone pole-They must have arrived!  Yesterday, I thought I could hear them----

The big melt down is still going on here-- and it will be for sometime.- There is SO SO much snow  to melt--- I noticed tho that half the driveway has melted--and I can see the beautiful black stone we had put in several years ago.

Son#4's ice shack is at the end of ur driveway-That had to be removed from the lake, the end of March.

I am that old---80 years--- I guess I have learned a lot-in my lifetime---never everything-----  and yes, I do find it difficult to remember everything--Do you find that you go to say a sentence, and the last word, just leaves me for a few seconds--It is the most frustrating thing!--It comes back to me, but--- I feel  silly if I am trying to tell someone something interesting.

You know , we still have ice on the lake--- In fact, we cannot even see the railing going to the lake--there is so much snow covering it!

Himself goes in to-morrow morning to the hearing place--The nice Ladies there will clean his ears--- It will be a challenge to get him in . Hopefully I can get is wheelchair into the car--- AND HOPEFULLY HE WILL USE IT-----Oh well--  We shall try--

Lopez and I must hoof it out onto the back road  ----  "Keep your chin Up"--as Dad used to always tell me as I was going somewhere-----
Doncha feel just so much better after the Easter Holiday weekend?------It really was a chance to chill, to relax and be in that rest mode-

 ------------------------------------------Happy Wednesday-------------------------------------------------------

  2. It's Kathy. I also love the quote about the courage to continue. I do struggle with that these days. It's melting here too. Daisy and I have been out 4 times to walk - what used to be such a simple 30 minute walk now is very challenging and takes about 35 minutes. But on this 4th day the walk was a little bit easier so I'm glad I'm pushing myself to do it! I just saw my first robin last Friday - they are so welcome! Oh, and just a few minutes ago I was trying to remember a word that I've been dealing with (an appraisal of a home my daughter wants to buy) and it took me at least 30 seconds to remember what the word was. Happens to me all the time and I'm not 80! I think you're amazing with all that you keep track of!

  4. Once our snow finally starting melting it really went fast. There is still some in the woods but the last garden on the North side melted off today. Now my thoughts turn to getting out in those gardens and getting them all spruced up. I took the bird feeders down today . . . someone in our neighborhood said the bears are awake. Spring is definitely here.
So tomorrow is your hair day too isn't it? You'll be pooped going to town for "himselfs" ears and then your hair do.

  6. Lynda, I copied that George Burns quote to my quote folder!
You've seen a robin, and I haven't! You walk outside more, and there's more nature around you. When I walk, I do it in the building, going out to my car or around a store.
Got a nice shirt, a pair of crops and one of shorts at Goodwill. Also some groceries and a new toy for Lucky. It's a cute chick. At the slightest move it starts cheeping. He doesn't seem interested. It was over $6 and I will have to give it to another pet owner in the building! He has been getting bored with his old stuff. At least now he can sit on his cat tree by the window with the window open!
I hope Himself lets the pros help him tomorrow. Best of luck with the wheel chair, too. I need to put a bariatric walker in my car to take my neighbor to karaoke on Saturdays. These big things are heavy and unwieldly.
    We will survive!
You do have more snow than we do. Ours has all but disappeared. One has to really look hard to find a bit in shady areas. That's okay by me!
    I'm gonna go out and look for robins! {{{HUGS}}}

  7. Warm weather has arrived here! Yesterday and today were both 80 degrees! Feeling proud of myself as I hooked the 40 gallon sprayer tank to the tractor by myself and was able to weed and feed the grass on all 4 acres! Took me several tries and some tears, but I did not give up as I was determined to get ahead of the dandelions! The past 3 years my SIL would hook it and spray for me, but my daughter and he and their kids went out of town for Easter vacation!
Glad to hear that Fred has an appointment for his ears. Sorry to hear about your sciatica acting up! Mine hasn't flaired up in a long time! Keep exercising as I am sure that helps! And love it that you saw a robin. They have arrived here too! So strange that they don't go to any of my bird feeders....they just hop around on the ground and find tasty bugs and worms!
