Good morning-- Easter Monday-- and, you really are awesome!--
I was walking Lopez , this morning,--and----- 4 geese flew over-- I noticed them, only because of their "honking"-- I presume the rest of their flock must've still be on the back pond-These are the 1st geese I have seen this year----There is hope!--Spring must really be here--
Son#4 with his son, our 14yr old Grandson, came out yesterday and the Grandson and I, lifted the ice from the bottom deck---and threw tons of salt down there, and this morning, the deck is looking good-- Any water that had tripped from the roof, 2 stories up, had vanished--and , his Dad, Son#4, showed me how to reattach the garage door opener--plus changed the water filter on the water system, carried out a dead mouse from the fruit cellar, and performed various other jobs , that Himself had lined up for him. It was a blessing to get all that done, and in no time, they were finished and on their way, on their motor bikes.-I appreciate their help SO SO much!
And, this morning, down I went to the Dreadmill--11 minutes to-day-- a few weights-back stretches-- and I was done. But, the sciatica was still there, I noticed, as I hobbled down the back road-- I know eventually that will go---
Son#2 is back home-- --was telling me that flying over the amazon, there are thunder storms and they try to avoid them---- and flying over the equator, is rough ---turbulence-----He texted me at about 6am telling me he was back-- always good to hear from him!-Precious words from Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin--but--- promise me that you will always remember the above-- so much happens in our lives-- We can either sit down and cry, or--- figure out what to do---because we are so much smarter than we think! It is Easter Monday-- enjoy to-day--- be Brave-
Sigh.....I posted a comment to you yesterday, but it disappeared! That seems to happen to me every few days! So glad that your son and grandson took care of all those chores for you! I had a great Easter dinner with my family and my grandson cut all 4 acres of grass for me after we ate! Two plastic eggs are still missing from our egg hunt.....bummer as one had a $2.00 bill in it and the other had 4 quarters! Thought they would show up when Ty mowed, but no luck! I will keep looking today when I weed whip around the trees! Saw several ducks and geese in my yard yesterday! Happy Easter Monday! (And my daughter took her two cats home yesterday, so I am back to 3! Still have my friends' cat as they are snowbirds!)
ReplyDeleteNow why did that post disappear?--Odd eh? ---- It sounds like SPRING in your area--Isn't that so nice that we finally get over all this winter?-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteI was going to comment yesterday and wish you Happy Easter but then I got all involved in making dinner and watching The Masters Golf Championship that I never got back. We have seen lots of Geese heading North and on Friday afternoon I saw our 1st Robins of the season. There was a report on Facebook saying the hummingbirds are on their way . . . they have been spotted as far North as Philly. This week is supposed to be above average temps all week and way above on Friday with highs in the 70's. . . .crazy weather. Isn't interesting how a little sunshine and warm temps can make those winter blues just melt away?
ReplyDeleteThose must be the geese I saw this morning!-- I am sure of it--LOLOL_- but--no robins here yet--and no Hummingbirds--and it is so mild outside here today-- FINALLY_Lynda
DeleteYay you saw/heard geese. And melting YAY.
ReplyDeleteSo glad son and grandson did some chores for you. Hoping they put your tires in the car too. Garage door fixed yay. Yahoo
Glad pilot son is safely home.
So happy you are back to dreadmill and weights. It will help. Keep plugging away.
Very happy your weather is finally improving.
Loved your inserts today.
Had a lovely Easter at sons house but ate too much plus desserts. The scale is not my friend this morning. No surprise.
Another sunny 70F day in St.Louis
Enjoy your day. Play your piano.
Hugs
Yes, the boys helped me a lot- It sounds like your Easter was wonderful--Big HUgs to yu on Easter Monday-Lynda
DeleteWhat a lovely thing for your Son #4 and his son to come and do some odd jobs for you two. That's wonderful. And geese!
ReplyDeleteThe Christopher Robin photo was such a nice one. I needed it today, Easter Monday here. I thought I was coming down with a doozy of a cold yesterday so before bed I did a covid test. I couldn't believe my eyes. Two lines. That stayed that way for all 15 minutes. Oh dear. I kept trying to explain to my two sisters that I wasn't going to get seen by a doctor today because it's a public holiday. They kept insisting I try everything... I have a ton of health issues and they worry about me. And I'm old enough for the antivirus which works best if started very early. So I tried the National Covid Helpline and what do you know, a real person was on the line to talk to me. She gave me the phone number for After Hours GPs and another number for a nurse to talk about the swelling in my arm. I had to fill out a booking form online, but sure enough, I got a text telling me to go to a weblink and it turned out to be a video link with a lovely GP. She wrote my prescription and sent it to my phone so I could then use my app and send it to my Chemist (Pharmacy). And I was able to tell her about my arm and she was able to see the swelling. She thinks it's from the trauma and may settle down so probably wait about 10 days and if it's still swollen, then it's time to get the Calvary involved. (Probably one of your parent's expressions!). I'm mostly ok as long as I don't have to talk or make hard decisions like what to make for tea / dinner. My freezer has plenty of broths and soups that I've made in the last year so I'm pretty sure no matter what, I won't starve and I know I can order my groceries and have them delivered. I do have to make sure I don't worry my kids and siblings.
Thank YOU for always telling us to stay strong and that we can do whatever we put our minds to - today especially, it really helped. Then once I had everything and everyone sorted and updated... I had a good old fashioned Nana nap!
Hugs,
Gaelyne
Gaelyne --What a pretty name--and yes, a couple people on here posted that they were worried about yu-- Isn't it sad?-Yu go to the hospital, and yu get Covid?----I am happy that you got ahold of a Dr-and she sounded like a caring person-- took good care of yu---I am happy that you have food stored away--Please keep us posted as to how yu are doing--Big Hugs, Lynda

DeleteBlessings on your son #4 and his son the 14 year old, for helping you out! And it's always good to hear that son #2 has safely returned from his exploits. Yes, I can understand that there are parts of the globe that more often subject to turbulance. It does not surprise me that the professionals figure out ways around the storms and bumps.

DeleteWe really are marvelous, strong and beautiful, too! We need to really believe that. I love all the inspirational quotes you give us. Pooh is great. I had quotes (before my pc crashed) from other books, too: Louisa May Alcott, Gandalf, Yoda, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, the Little Prince...oh, I am sure I forgot some.
ReplyDeleteThe tree across from us has green buds on it! I have had the windows open for the second day. I'll have to close them soon, though.
Your son has such an interesting job travelling all over.
And son #4 and grandson....isn't it marvelous that they have their own lives and issues, but they still think of helping us. That's Love!
Let's make it a great week! {{{HUGS}}}
