Let the crazy-s come out!-

Good Morning---

Whatta great list eh?---  "productive yet calm"----- Do yu realize that we are almost into September?---  Where has the summer gone ?---

Yesterday, I called the Real Estate Lady, and took this house off the market.-It seems pointless to leave it, as it has been listed since March--and no offers--It is such a hassle when they call and tell us there will be a showing at such and such a time--and we run around like crazy making sure all is looking fabulous and loading all the creatures , big and small, into the vehicle--and away I go---  just horrible-- So, the question is, "How do you sell a house without going thru all of that ?---- I guess you don't! --So, we shall live in this place forever--or--for now--If any of you have any ideas  please let me know--Meanwhile, a fresh coat of paint on the main level will freshen up our lives--

We are supposed to have rain this afternoon----  and----ONE MORE THING-- I came upstairs here just now, and there was Himself, sitting in a chair doing his arm exercises--- His comment was, "See? I can do these at home!-No need to go to the Lodge"---AND I SAID, "But you learned these exercises at the Lodge!"-- ( for sure he did not hear me-)--AND, He is going back to the Lodge--(-but, I kept that to myself-) Lord Love a Duck eh?---

The above is a picture of "YOU"--when you allow it all to hang out-----  Why on earth do we keep our true feelings pent up inside of us?--Letting go would save us from so much energy--probably would shock our families also--LOL

But--our families would still love us-even  when "all is hanging- out"--- Emma, says that , in her note above--

Have a good day--make it a great day--Smile at that person in the mirror--Make it a super day in your part of the world--

  1. I'm glad you took the house off the market. This isn't the right time to sell a house on the lake anyway. People with kids would probably want it and now that school has started they aren't as anxious to move. I wonder if any of those who paraded through were really serious buyers or just curious.

On Monday when it is time to go to the Lodge again, maybe you could tell Himself that he needs to learn the next new exercise because he is so good at that one. He may be ready to go then and yesterday was just "one of those days" when he would have objected to anything.

    Have a great day. D

  2. Your hair looks great! It was a good idea to take the house off the market as it was too hard getting ready for viewings and with fall and winter coming it would be even worse. Everything will work out in time. I also think it would have been too hard on Himself leaving your home at this time. Enjoy today and take care. Hugs

  3. Happy Friday, Lynda! Glad you took the house off the market (for now). You'll have one less thing hanging over your head! And I'm really glad for Himself having a place to go "on the regular".

Hugs and a good weekend to you!

  4. It's Kathy. I love your hair, looks wonderful. I hope all was well when you returned home. I also love your "to do" list. Seems perfect! I think you did the right thing taking your home off the market - who needs that frustration of getting it just so for people to walk through. In Minnesota we have several companies that will buy your home "as is". Two houses down from us sold that way - then the company comes in and does all the repairs and resells it. I think that's what we will do if we ever leave this house. Too many things need to be fixed! Have a great day today!

  5. No ideas on the house from me - I'm rattling around this one but consider myself bound by honour and love to keep it and do my best with it for as long as possible and keep those horrible people (inlaws) that wanted to take it away from us as far away as possible. And so far I'm doing brilliantly at it. The yard is neat and tidy (a team come and do it once a month - which is all it needs most of the time), and I've hired a family (my adopted one here) friend who is starting a cleaning business to come give me a hand every six weeks. It really has helped me be less stressed about stuff. I can do my usual work without continually being Sadie all the time. But I'm able to keep up so much easier now. I think himself will in time come to look forward to his time out of the house ... and of course having other people to chat with besides yourself. You have your hair days ... he can have his day out too. Heehee. I'm on my way to bed - late - but I played lots of rounds of Bingo and had some wine while I played - the height of my 'wild weekend nights' these days! Oh, my son in Texas (who has gone 26 days of consecutive 100+ degree heat) got some actual rain on his head today. The storm was passing in the distance but the wind blew some towards the airport where he works and he was out there waiting for it and his first words were "OH. It's COLD!", with the biggest grin on his face I've seen in a long time. I'm sure glad he recorded that. It did my heart good. I've been so worried about him. Even the bath / shower water doesn't get cold in this type of heat. I live in Australia and we've never had a heatwave last that long. A week or two maybe but not 26 days. Goodness. Anyway, the cats want me to go to bed so they can have a different place to sleep so I better move along! Love you, Lynda! Hang in there and just breath while you're staying strong!

    1. Yu are amazing to keep yer house going--I know that you love it!-Nice to hear about your son in Texas--= The heat has not been bad here this summer--so far--- Yes,. This is our home and we are used to it here--would be so hard to move---And over the winter I can get rid of things we don't use anymore--That seems to be what those real estate people want us to do--"de clutter" they call it--crazy--- We have lived here since '87 so there is a houseful of memories.--SO so happy to hear from you and to hear that you are doing well-I shall send a lot of love your way--You are such an awesome person--Thank you for keeping in touch--Hugs, Lynda

  6. Well, this is getting to the season where housing sales slow anyhow. Just get the help you need for doing chores around the house.

Yup . . . Himself IS going to the Lodge! It really is good for him AND you!

    HUGS to you.

  7. Hi Lynda: Glad you took the house off the market for now at least. It's too late in the year to be selling a house in your location. Early spring might be better if you decide to sell. Himself definitely needs to keep going to the Lodge for more sessions. At least he remembers what he learned there! Hair looks great! Hugs Brenda

  8. Lynda, I hope the perfect people to buy your house don't show themselves to the real estate lady now! If I was in your situation, that would probably be my luck. We gotta think positively: You love your home and property. With help for outside (and maybe help for Sadie) you will do well. No matter where you are.
Himself is really learning and enjoying himself at day care. That's wonderful!
I thought it was supposed to be cooler today...but it's not much! 86F now.
Did some shopping today...including bananas. Had to get my walker to load the bags with a huge round cherry coffee cake sitting on the seat. It's for the party in our Community Room on Sunday.
Tonight my friend and I are going to Bingo at our local Eagle's Club, tomorrow is karaoke there and Sunday is our party. Monday I am meeting my daughter for lunch somewhere...we are 3 weeks apart do often celebrate in the middle. We're a little late this time.
    Busy times make life interesting. {{{HUGS}}}

  9. Great inserts, loved them ALL. Emma's letter is so cute.
Not likely to sell the house now as fall is approaching, but perhaps in the spring, if you choose. Paint to freshen up the downstairs along with purging unwanted items will make your house fresh and new. I do hope you get routine help with the yard and snow. Dependable help. You might consider getting Sadie some help once a month for deep cleaning.
Himself is doing great following up with his exercises. I liked your response to his not needing to go back. I hope you take him more OFTEN so you have free time and don't worry about him and his cane being home with Lopez.
    Your hair looks good.
Its 100F AGAIN in St.Louis. ugh. Forecast is only in the 95F range for tomorrow. Haha We could use rain but thats not happening anytime soon.
    Enjoy today. Count your blessings.
    Stay positive.
    Hugs
