Have you ever just sat and thought........

The above made me LOL--We all have been through a lot of that--We can tell our GREAT GRANDCHILDREN--- ---  but--me thinks they will be going thru a lot of "that" too--with global warming and whatever else happens--

It has been a banking day for me-plus, a "clean a level day"---also---All the 1204 dogs (well, it seems that way, )  had their breakfast--in the right bowls----- and are ready to go out again-- To-day I began to count the days-- until they return to their owners-- I think they might return Sunday--but---  somehow , I sorta think their owners might return Monday or Tuesday of next week--

eaten I think in Vancouver before barding for Honolulu
a lot of shrimp with rice-notice how the food changes as they arrive in Hawaii-?
The white  looking roll, I think is Hargow--a Chinese delacasie---- There is shrimp inside of it-- very tasty.
They (Son#3 and family)_are in Honolulu--probably heading to Giovani's Shrimp wagon--or a beach on some part of the island--

We have the AC  on--and we do have sunshine to-day-and the humidity is high--

Our daughter  announced that we are due for another Covid booster--this fall--I have lost count  on how many we have had--maybe this will be our 6th or 7th  shot-

-She is recovering from a terrible dose of shingles, which wrapped right around her body on one side-- She advised us to get that vaccine as she suffered with so much pain---I have had Shingles once, but not as severe as she has had-- I remember, as a baby, she got Chicken Pox quite badly-  Her 2 older brothers had the Chicken pox, but were not sick at all with it--but, she was extremely ill with a very high fever and blisters all over her--We were in our trailer at a beach at Port Stanley, Ontario when they came down with it--I wanted to take her to Emerg. in ST Thomas, ON., but Himself, a Dr., would not allow  that to happen--Drs never want to take their children to Emergency--Crazy eh?

The 104 dogs (seems that many)- need to go out AGAIN---and himself has lunch ready-- It has been a mixed up day here-- kind of feel like I'm going in circles and accomplishing nothing--  You all must have days like that!-----So, my good friends--- enjoy your day---thank you for being such a true friend -
(even if I am a bit cracked--!)
---  stay strong---Your kids just might drop off a dog-----or 2!----- well, you never know!

  1. The doggie count went from 1204 too 104! Wow. Wonder where 1100 of them went? Just teasing. It must have felt like fewer after they were fed and walked again.
I have been fortunate not to have had shingles. Don't know if I had chicken pox. Know I had a couple childhood illnesses.
Yes, the food is different as you approach the islands. I remember when my doc son took me a couple years ago. 'Course we ate vegan...but delicious food abounded!
Just chillin here today. No a/c on yet, but it probably will be later. We're due for another couple very hot days. We just deal, don't we.
Did Himself make the bed again today? It's great that he helps you.
    Gonna do another blog today.
Oh, thank you for the birthday message on FB.
I have a feeling if we got together in person we'd talk and laugh for a looong time!

  2. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. It's a hot day here too - no outside work for me today. I have many days where I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels and getting nothing done. I went to the gym this morning and now I feel like I need a nap! I know I had chicken pox as a child but I haven't gotten that Shingles vaccination yet - maybe this year. My mom had Shingles and it was pretty bad for her. So sorry your daughter is suffering so! That food in the pictures looks so delicious! Almost makes me want to travel!

  3. Hi Lynda,
Your poor daughter has really had a time with her shingles outbreak. I need to get that shot. I had the older version but likely should have the newer version. Not sure about more Covid shots. I thought it was going to be part of fall flu shot but who knows.
Its raining and very muggy, humid in St.Louis.
    The food looks wonderful.
I hope son/family gets back soon so you'll be relieved of dog duty for the herd you have.
Did himself make the bed again?
Enjoy today. Play piano for the dogs.
    Hugs

Will have to ask my doctor. And I will be getting nother Covid shot this fall. Hoope the doggies all behave for the rest of the day. Take care. Brenda

  5. Good afternoon from another hot area. I had the shingle shot years ago and then also had the updated one which is a series of 2 a month or two apart. I sure don't want it. I heard Covid is due back again but haven't heard about new vaccine. Whatever. My three kids all came down with Chicken Pox the day my house went on market and being shown. I didn't say anything except to a young couple with newborn. Not right of me but I wanted it sold so I could move to where my husband was.

Good luck with all the dogs - will sure seem quiet when they leave. Lots of work but fun also. My 18 year old granddaughter is staying here for awhile and it is so nice to have company and someone to talk to. Finished putting together a photo album for a niece and it is ready to mail. D

    2. I ended up with the old family pictures and made copies of some for my sister (90th birthday) and for this niece. Fun. The niece is a photographer so she will really understand and can share with this side of the family.

  6. I'm betting this will be your 7th shot... I know I had my 6th in May, I think it was. Amazing how many times we boost for that nasty Covid! The foodie photos do look delicious... ah, how wonderful to just go off tripping! Not me, I get to stay home and watch over my sister's cats next week, then the week after it will be the big adventure of the cataract surgery (unless something delays it).

    1. Oh Barb--- The cataract surgery was just fine--I was so so worried--but it truly was amazing to wake up the next morning and the whole world seemed so shiny---- and --everyone dropping off their pets on yu too?--I'm kinda "dogged" out--and they are away at least another week-- Lynda

  7. I had the original Shingles shot many years ago....but I got a terrible case of the shingles around my breast on one side anyway! It was so painful! And they had told me that even though I had shingles once already back when I was just 21, that the shot would make another case at least 50% less potent.....which I find hard to believe...at any rate, when the a new double dose shingles shot was available, I went and got it too! I hope and pray I never have to deal with shingles again!
Seems crazy that they keep giving Covid boosters as the strains seem to change and become resistant to the each of the vaccines, so it is hard to decide whether to keep going and getting them....but I will do what my doctor recommends at my next check-up! I know what you mean about having 1204 dogs....I had my friend's cat and my daughter's two cats while they all were on vacation....so 5 cats in all with my two! Lots of hissing those days! And I too, began to count the days until all the extra pets went home!

  8. Oh I think, honestly, our grandchildren and great grandchildren are going to face some mighty tough challenges. Glessings to them!

Well, you certainly are busy with all those pooches. But you’re doing a great job.

Oh the food in Hawaii looks delicious! Hope your DS and family are having a good time. How could you not, right! It’s HAWAII!

So sorry to hear that your DD has had such a virulent case of shingles. I got the booster and am so glad that I did. It is indeed VERY painful. Mom had it twice.

Awwwwww, that last meme touched my heart. It is sooooo true. These fur babies loe us unconditionally. Always. Pure love.

HUGS and blessings. Take care of yourself.

  9. I never had chicken pox, so don’t dare get the shingles vaccine, it can cause all sorts of problems. Did have measles and mumps. What a world . It’s 107 here, hot as parts of hell.

  10. The food looks delicious! You are the best doggie caregiver! lol It is a job for sure. My little one is three months old today. Mostly potty trained in two weeks so I am proud of him. I had a bad case of chicken pox. It was so itchy. Still a couple scars from it on my forehead. I am afraid of vaccines (needles) so not sure if I will get the shingles vaccine at some point or not. I know it is burning to get it. I had to feel burning neuropathy all last year from my blood pressure pill. I went to several specialists and nothing was found. I got to researching and the pharmacists and doctors told me it couldn't be the medicine. The reviews told me yes, it was. Listen to your body is my new motto. I have been off of it for a couple months and feel like a new person! My doctor told me to stay on it. He said it wasn't the medicine but to stay on it because it controls my blood pressure. I had no quality of life. He also told me I would not do well on any other blood pressure medicines. I thought that was a huge assumption. You are so blessed to be a nurse, have a doctor in the house all these years and now your daughter and her husband in the medical field. Nice to have extra advice that matters. I am in a tiny town in Ohio and need to find another primary elsewhere. Enjoy your night!
