What are you going to do to-day?

I am not going to be that "miserable cow" to-day---  I shall have confidence in my decisions to-day-  know that they are the right decisions for me at the time--

Lopez, the Chihuahua, had me up at 5am--so---  I just stayed up---  so far, the big dogs have been out-- and fed--the little dogs will get out soon--AND--I have labels on their food dishes--FOR ME---to see--I am trying to be more organized here--LOL

And we have a new thing happening in this house-- HIMSELF IS NOW MAKING OUR BED--yesterday--and to-day--It's a new thing! (--I have never asked that he do that)--When I ask him if he made the bed-, he says, "Is it made?"-----pretending it's not him----SO SO NICE!

Thank yu for all your comments yesterday--on my most terrible  awful crazy day---I appreciated hearing all your advice----- mostly supportive--AND---as the day went on, I became stronger in my decision to not go with the painting , with all the canines panting  in my face--Thank yu to yu all--

This looks like  Lopez--and Lola, the 2 Chihuahuas-----and they do follow every move I make-- They both watch me like a hawk--

I had the furnace on, early this morning--  It was only 9 degrees at 5am--It is off now--August 1st and the  heat was on --  Lord knows what propane will cost this fall-- I am sure the price will be up-- I see that the taxes on our house  has risen also--

-I hope that to-day, you do choose NOT to be a miserable cow-

-It is a new day, of a new month-- and it is still summer--Maybe we all should do "Nothing"-to-day?----When people ask what you are going to do, you can say, OH, NOTHING---and then you go off, and do it---NOTHING_

I think that is exactly what I shall do---  pretty much--"NOTHING"

  1. For you to do nothing would really be a change. Normally you are buzzing around just like a busy bee working inside and outside. I hope tomorrow you can say that you enjoyed today by doing nothing. Some how I don't think that will happen. Lol. Enjoy today no matter what you do.

    1. Hi Madeline-- No--=well, the repair guy came to look at a bit of damage in one corner of the kitchen ceiling--He said the rubber around the vent above the sink has fallen down--the sleeve he called it--probably from the weight of the snow covering it ion the winter--He will be out next week to fix it--has his Grandchildren there now-- --So happy he came-- hugs--and enjoy that new puppy--Lynda

  2. Good morning, Lynda! Sorry about your crazy day, yesterday! I can't handle too much going on at once and felt bad for you. You made the right decision and we can only do so much. It's a good day to do nothing. lol I do have the two yorkies and 15 year old nephew to take care of. Food to prepare, laundry to do and small things. It shall be a wonderful day. My husband will be home at 4 and will help out. Cloudy and 65 in Ohio right now. I have only been out to the dentist the other day in a couple weeks because of this new addition who is sleeping by my foot as I type. lol Seems like a good evening to get out a bit while the weather is cooler. Even if it is just out on my deck or something simple. I know what you are dealing with about the dogs food. The older yorkie wants the puppy food and the puppy wants her food. lol Enjoy your day and do as little as possible because you deserve it. Hugs!

  3. Glad you're having a quieter to-day! I am working on getting the cat who came back from her adventures as a feral cleaned up. I've never seen so many burrs in her fur... but then she's never gone AWOL for two whole weeks before, either. I'm taking it in stages, allowing her to rest between brushings.

May we all get rested up, you with your canines, me with two felines... and hopefully Sushi is finding a safe space in all this, as are you!

    2. Rubia has been with me for 8 years, since kittenhood. "Adventures as a feral" was a temporary AWOL period while The Prisoner, my 12 year old kitty was recovering from surgery and she was put outside but then didn't come home until two weeks later! So, no, not as truly feral as Sushi!

  6. It's Kathy. I like the idea of having a "do nothing" day, I think we all need it every now and then. My mom called it her PJ day, where she hung out in her pajamas all day. I still need to get up and get dressed but just having to do whatever I want with no cooking or cleaning to get done sounds lovely. How nice of himself to help with the bed. A couple weeks ago I was late getting to the gym and didn't feel like making ours - it was magically made when I got home. Totally appreciated it! My yesterday was a bit chaotic as we had an emergency call for babysitting my 2 grandsons. The 3 year old can't talk clearly so he gets frustrated and then yells or screams. Poor little Daisy was so scared. My husband, thankfully, went with - not sure I could have driven myself home after 3 1/2 hours of those two very busy children! Even Daisy slept in this morning! Have a wonderful day!

  7. Lynda, I can't imagine you ever having a do nothing day but it does sound appealing. If I do nothing that means the next day I have more catch up to do.
Can't believe you had your furnace on. Still hot in St.Louis but only 90s since a bad storm Saturday.
Glad things are going better with dog feeding and care. 4 dogs is a lot of dogs.
Please stop feeling bad about painter postponement. Life happens. I would encourage you to get rebooked as with holidays approaching it will be very hard to get a date.
Himself is making bed.. well boy howdy. Thats Great! Hope it continues.
    Hugs
