-----Mentality is everything

Well, ya never know eh?---  Yesterday, I got a call from the Real Estate Lady-- She wanted to do 2 showings---TO-DAY---  One has already happened-and now  around lunch, will be another couple-- Both sets of people are from out of town-- CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?-----just when we decided to stay forever in this very large home-

--That is why I  sent the above note to the "good LORD"---(as Mom used to call him)----so--altho I was tempted to tell the Real Estate  we had decided to stay here-- (and we probably will )-- -- I listened to some silly voice telling me that I could do these 2  showings--so----I lugged 3 animals into the car and drove to the boat launch--left Himself sitting in the sunroom, grumbling--Lord love a Duck! ----We shall see if  sitting at that boat Launch , with one Chihuahua crying, trying to get out of his crate-- one cat - and a German Shepherd breathing down my neck--and , we have rain FALLING_will it be worth all the trouble???_

AND--it is hair day--
I must be nuts ----Why on earth am I allowing complete strangers walking thru our home?-
We shall see if anything   comes from these showings--- I guess I am giving it  one last chance--

  1. You are Wonder Woman! It will keep your options open so probably a good choice even though not the most convenient. Everything will work out the way it is supposed to. Hope the fur babies will stay calm a bit. Himself will be ok. He knows you are close by. Enjoy your outing to get your hair done. Get ice cream! LOL Hugs from Ohio!:)

    2. It’s rainy here now. I hope the realtor only shows to the people who are pre-approved and not waste time. If not, I would request it. In Ohio, most realtors won’t show if you don’t have a bank letter

  2. With winter just around the corner and all the work it creates for you in your house, might be a blessing for someone to buy now! Hope all works out for the best.

  3. It's Kathy. I so needed to read the first quote today because my hope is fading. I learned yesterday that my youngest daughter's ex has filed for custody of their 2 autistic boys ages 3 & 4. He was never there to help her care for said boys - went out with his friends every single night from about 8:30 - 11 pm. And he treated her like his maid (slave) never helping her in any way and only giving her a little bit of money at a time! She has an Order for Protection against him for assaulting her last December which he violated in April and went back to jail but somehow the Domestic Assault was reduced to Disorderly conduct and the violation was just wiped clear. Sorry for going on but I am so worried about this - those boys mean everything to her and she is the Personal Care Attendant to both of them. He doesn't know anything about autism and lets them run wild with no supervision! I'm sorry you had to wait in the car out by the docks in the rain. No fun at all! I loved each of the memes today but the last one also really spoke to me! Sorry for going on - good thing I have a counseling session today!

    1. Oh Kathy--No--Do not allow yer hope to fade! Lets hope your youngest daughter's hubby does not get custody--- Does he want custody just so he can get extra $$$ for taking care of the- boys? That is terrible that she was treated so badly!--- Hopefully a Judge will see thru this guy--specially that he was in jail--doesn't sound like a good father to his boys--Hopefully she can keep her boys--Lynda

  4. My hubby and I have decided to stay in our home on an acre until we need a nursing home. We are finding ways to work around the yard work such as leasing our big garden spot in exchange for mowing the
    Acre.

  5. Lynda, of course you must trust...your intuition, the Source that put you here and guided the real estate lady...it will all work out.
Must be awfully stressful for a bit, though, with those animals in the car and wondering about Himself in the sun room. Does he understand what will be happening while you are gone and he is where he is?
I had $1000 deposited into my account today courtesy of the State of Minnesota. It is called a renter's rebate. You show them your income, sign a form saying how much rent you paid last year, they make the calculation to see how much $ you should get back.
I will be able to pay extra on some bills and have a bit of fun, too.
    Will look forward to seeing how today goes for you and whether or not you get to your hair appointment. {{{HUGS}}}

    1. Hey, I got to my hair appointment but--it was raining as I drove back home--I got the 2 dogs but--I really do not think people are very interested in this house--It is priced high as it is waterfront but interest rates are high now and people just cannot afford-this house-- I think we should just take it off the market for now and live in it-- That $1000 is so nice!-- You deserve that! When $$$ comes in and you didn't expect itg--it is like a gift from God eh?--Lynda

  6. Keeping my mind open and my fingers crossed for you, Lynda. Thinking about your hair day... as I look like Cosmo Kramer from Seinfeld TV show... I showered before bed and woke up like this! Sigh.

But I can see things so much better now. Life is good!

  7. Lynda, showings are stressful and extra work but part of the real estate scene. At least you had TWO to leave for if that's any consolation. If it works out fine.. if not fine too. Intetest rates are high and that does deter some people. In a few months the snow will return and thats not a good thing up there (or anywhere). May have to round up a dependable person to take care of that for you soon.
Offers dont always come right away. I know you want to stay. It will work out.
Enjoy hair day. I look forward to reading that you've got himself at lodge several times a week with lunch so you have ME time.
    Take care
    Hugs

  9. More showings? And you left himself in the house while they happened? He must have been beside himself. With the interest rates being what they are, I would be surprised if there will be much interest. Love all the sayings today. Hope your hair appointment went well. Have a good evening. Hugs Brenda

  11. Lynda,
It is funny how life works. You think you have it figured out and God
throws a stick among us. My father's favorite expression was " We will see what takes place". It used to make me mad as a kid but it is now my mantra. I am glad Himself like that new day care center. It makes him feel special and gives you a most needed break. Make Monday's special for you.
    Love your friend Bev

    Keep the faith Lynda.

  13. Lynda, why don't you ask the real estate woman if you, Fred and the pets can stay in one room while she shows the rest of the house to people, then have her show them that room you're all in? Would that work better for you? It's a shame you have to load up the animals, leave Fred grumbling, alone, without you. I have a feeling one the those two showings will put in an offer. I would love to see you all in a smaller home, in town, handy to everything and a nice yard for the dogs.

Thinking of you all! Hugs! <3
