You Make Me Happy!

Good Day--Sunday is a good day to have a good day-----The little person in the picture, AND---her cat,  thinks so too--It is sunny here-- with high Humidity--- we have the AC on---

If you are fortunate enough, to share this day with a Grandchild, these youngsters have a very different idea of the world--Talk to them and you just might hear  stories of  their Mom , or their baby brother, or, a ride they had wth their dad in the car--A good day to them , is buying ice cream, or eating chocolate chip cookies--- not too much mentioned about Fires or Global Warming--

Yesterday--Saturday-- Himself spoke of a toothache he was having-- This was in the morning, and he seemed to control the aching with a Tylenol---By 3pm, his jaw was beginning to swell and the Tylenol were not doing the trick-- It was Saturday however , and Dental offices are closed--I was laying on  the sofa, kinda half awake, trying to remember the Dentist's office number-- A few numbers were drifting thru my brain--so I tried one--I heard a man's voice at the other end of the phone. Immediately I apologized for bothering whoever I had called----then I heard the person at the other end call me by name--"Lynda", he said , THIS IS DR. WHOEVER"--- He said he was just walking thru his office, on a Saturday, heard the phone ring. picked it up, and saw my name--He told me to meet him back at his office at 5pm . with Himself, and he would have a look  at Himself's "high speed choppers"--as my Dad used to call his teeth--

How many Dentists would see a patient on a Saturday--?--We did go there, at 5pm-- The very nice Dentist  was waiting for Himself, who began to tell the Dentist about all his body parts which are dying--before he is ready--Anyway, he is on an Antibiotic now--and will  return to have that tooth taken care of  next week  ----- So, one never knows  what a new day will bring?-- You may be laying around on your sofa one minute , and the next thing you know, you are sitting in a dental office's waiting room--What I could say, is appreciate every minute yu get to relax on that sofa, as--in a flash you could be whisked away somewhere-

I saw this and thought of Mom's many expressions which seem to float into my mind, ALL the time--It seems like her spirit does reply--as it says above. and, do our souls never part?--- So much to think about in this world isn't there?--

We must be strong-- and if we cannot stand--  Kneel----  What a good idea! --So, almost nap time-- I hope I get to  nap---  Well, yu never know , it seems----and, one more thing here---

  2. You, Lynda, make me happy.
Loved the inserts and especially thinking about my mom watching and guiding me. She was the Best! I miss her terribly.
Wow. The dentist answered the phone and got himself in on Saturday.. what amazing service above and beyond. So glad it worked out. Tooth pain is rough. You never know what your day will bring. You always handle IT. God bless you!
Hot in St.Louis. Heat advisory as a week of 100F is on tap.
Just returned from a bananna run plus a few other things. No meat, just a few things but racked up $50 without trying.
Relax and do nothing since that didn't happen yesterday. Good day to play your piano and get back on the couch lol
    Hugs

  3. What are the odds that the dentist would happen to be walking through his office on a Saturday, heard the phone ringing, ANSWERED IT, and recognized your name? And then gave up a Saturday evening to see Himself! Call it serendipity, call it a miracle, call it a blessing -- the universe came through for you. It's things like this that we need to tuck away in our memories to call on when it seems as if the world is conspiring against us and we think nobody cares. I hope the antibiotics kick in and ease the pain.

  4. Hurricane Hilary is impacting our Sunday here in Southern California. We are such wimps when it comes to weather, so this “unprecedented “ threat has a lot of people in a tizzy! Seems to be unprecedented times everywhere when it comes to weather this year.
Glad you were able to get hold of the dentist. Toothaches are horrible. Hopefully Tylenol and antibiotics make the wait till Monday more tolerable for both of you.

  5. It's Kathy - how wonderful that you remembered the number and the dentist just happened to have stopped at his office for some reason. AND that he was willing to see himself. Sounds like a bit of a miracle to me! I love the poem about moms, although for me it would be my dad. My mom never really understood how to be a mom! I think all this worrying is wearing me out - I got up with Daisy at 6:30, she refused to eat her breakfast so we both went back to bed and I promptly fell asleep until 8:30. Guess I needed the sleep. Thanks for your support. I have to believe that the fact the boys both have autism will keep them with their mom because their dad refuses to acknowledge the issue! Have a great day!

    1. Kathy--It was like a miracle-- the Dentist seeing him on Saturday--Funny--all my gabbing about my Mom, but--like you---I was much closer to my Dad--Mom was always busy --She was a school teacher--plus her Mom died when she was 12 yrs old, so I always figured that she did not know how to "mother" me--plus she got very cross with my Dad when He would "give in" to me-- I learned quite young to not be like that with my own children--not to favour one child--Lynda

  6. Wow! I am soooo glad that you were able to see the dentist yesterday. What a kind man! Given Himself's age and what's going on, it is good he was seen and started on antibiotics. PHEW. Hugs and prayers that he gets comfortable til his next visit.

Stay cool. It is hot and humid here, but given all the disasters going on, I will not complain!

    hugs and blessings

  7. That was like magical thinking, you remembering the dentist number, calling, and he just happens to be in the office, recognized your name, and picked up. Wonder if he would have picked up, if he did not know the name? But that antibiotic needed to be given before they poke around any way. Thank goodness! Go play your piano now! ❤️

  8. Himself is one lucky fellow that his wife would phone a Dentist on a Saturday and then get him an appointment One more reason that I am sure he is very thankful for you. Unfortunately there are days that he forgets just how much you do for him and how much you mean to him. Enjoy your day. Hugs

  10. All of today's inserts are really good. Lucky you with the dentist. To phone when he just happens to be there and he sees your name and answers the phone and has you guys come in late on a Saturday afternoon. What time and what a great dentist. I'd be really surprised if that ever happens here in Toronto! So hopefully himself feels better the rest of the weekend with the antibiotics. Relax tonight and plau the piano. Hugs Brenda
