Make to-day amazing!

Good Day---Well, it had better be a good day--Sushi and I hope it will be a good day here--and hopefully there with you all--

Yesterday  was difficult--  -I was out trying to get rid of the coffee which had spilled  inside  the vehicle---  We had stopped at a fast food place--and somehow, as a cup full of hot coffee , was passed to me  from the take out window---the lid wasn't sitting on the cup properly--and as I was driving, and when I tried to pick up the cup to sip on it--the lid came off, and hot coffee spilled all over me and the Driver's seat-- Has that ever happened to you?----What a mess!---So , yesterday I  was out in the car , trying to clean it all up--- took off the seat cover also, and washed it--

But---  (There is always a big "BUTT" isn't there?)--  I could not get the hose connected so I could use it to wash off the car---so-----  I ASKED HIMSELF IF HE COULD CONNECT  THE HOSE--which he did--but----  things went downhill from then on--and it continued into dinner time---it must've been frustrating for him--

He did get the hose working, eventually--

"Patience is a virtue"----=  Mom used to say that----"Possess it if you can"---- and then the little rhyme went on--"It's often found in women----but never in a man""--(Mom's expression--not mine!)---which I never shared--with Himself, by the way--

Life is better this morning--- Good thing---  I realize now that  trying to connect that hose on uneven ground was probably not easy for him--

There are good things happening to-day--Son #2 is home from  where he was----  Son#1 , has returned also--the grass is good -- will be cut this week sometime--It is cooler-- no fires  around here I don't believe-- Lopez and Beau are good--and Sushi--  Now if I just can be stronger than I believe -------

I shall make to-day  amazing___It just has to be---

  1. Awwww! Wat a lovely picture of you and Sushi!

Glad you weren’t burned with the hot coffee spilling on you! AND glad you were able to clean it up.

Oh boy, sorry that connecting the hose was frustrating for Himself and ultimately you, as well. *SIGH*

Oh yes, patience is a virtue most often found in women, not often in Himself’s. *SIGH** Where would men be w/o us!

Glad son #2 returned safely, and son #1 and family, too.

My dear, you ARE stronger than you believe!

  2. Lynda, you WILL make today amazing cuz YOU are amazing!
No matter the problems today may bring, there are more good things happening. We sometimes just must search for them!
I have more $ in my account than I thought I had. Need to buy presents, though. We are having a party for August and September birthdays in a couple weeks. Next weekend is a party for our wonderful office manager's darling daughter...and a good-bye party for Sami...the office manager. (She has found a new full time job loving on seniors (as she calls it)...planning outings, activities, fun things to keep them engaged and their minds and bodies active. Some of the seniors have Alz...
Today I have a bit of shopping, emptying all my recyclables into the bin outside, writing a new blog and a new entry for Facebook.com/mamaswisdom.
Other than those chores, it will be loving on Lucky and myself. May have time for a wee nap.
Hope you enjoy your day and that Himself's mood does not deteriorate as the day progresses.
Love the photo of you and Sushi! She kinda looks like she's being held against her will. Lucy is like that, too. Only lets me hold him for half a minute before he wants down.

  5. Gee whiz, I’m glad you were not burned from that hot coffee spill, oh my, that kind of thing could be very bad indeed. And then the hose frustration, too. That is hard for we older folk to do. Ok, crossing fingers already for Wednesday’s morning trip to the Lodge!

  6. Hi Lynda: Glad you didn't get badly burnt. Be sure to tell them the next time you go there as it is their fault. I try to use a straw in the car as it's safer as you don't lift the cup the same way. Poor himself. It has to be very frustrating for him - which is probably why things changed after that. Nice picture of you and Sushi. Glad all the boys have returned home. Take care. Brenda

    1. Well Brenda-- The car was a mess-- When the cup kinda folded in my hand--without the cap, and I was driving, I didn't know where to put it--Coffee was everywhere--horrible--Son#2 the Pilot says it has happened to him also-- and he is in Toronto--says he always checks the lid before moving off--Lynda

  7. Great picture of you and Sushi. My goodness Lynda, you could have gotten badly burned. Cleaning the mess in the car is not fun. Poor DH trying to fasten house. Hoping today is better.
Saw where he's going to the center Wednesday. Hoping that goes ok as I haven't heard any mention of stopping there together so DH could get a bit familiar. Hope it goes well.
Glad your boys are all safely home.
You can handle anything...stay strong and grateful.

    1. Hi there you!---Well, it is my fault they did not follow thru with stopping in for coffee at the Lodge-I cancelled it!-- It is so hard for me to think Himself is not quite all there as he can be quite normal on his good days--Yesterday however, he just could not handle the hose thing and became almost violent--swearing at me etc--so--- I must realize that he can be very difficult and I do need a bit of time without him--so I called the Lodge and apologized for me cancelling all their efforts to help him --aND Me--- so-- He goes in now Wed. morning--and I will pick him up at noon--We shall see if this works-- Lynda

  8. Lynda, so hoping the Lodge can and will become the respite you NEED. Its time to give yourself a break without having to worry about his safety in your brief absence for hair apts and errands. I'm so hoping this works out and he learns to like the interaction with others. Prayers for both of you.

  9. Hi Lynda! So nice to see Sushi! She is so lucky you rescued her so long ago from the cold. Sorry to hear that himself got angry with you and hope the Lodge visit goes well. That is terrible that the coffee lid was not secure and made such a mess. That hasn't happened to me but I always dislike when they don't wipe the drinks off and hand them to you so messy. I am happy your pilot son is back home. Rainy all day in Ohio. I got my temporary crown off today and got my real one on. They had it glued well because it didn't want to come off. I go on September 11 to get the last side done and all white. I will be so happy! I go next Monday for my usual cleaning. I feel like I live there on Mondays. lol Have a great night!
