A new day -LIVE- it! --

Smile--We are alive-a new day is here--  There is sun-- cool temperatures-and--- a whole  24 hours to look around--to smile at people-- perhaps to speak to someone who looks lonely--and if to-day is  the day that someone has passed--entering Heaven, send all your good wishes for their arrival with the good Lord--one more soul to look down on all of us , struggling to get thru this day--

To-day  is big Beau's 8th Birthday--and he is going to the groomer---To-morrow he goes to the Vet here in town--needs shots----no hair day to-day, for myself-- but it will be to-morrow--and, --this weekend is Labour Day Weekend--We will have  a long weekend, to enjoy the final days of summer--There are no fires  in this area---We are so fortunate--(have not packed my "Grab and Go" bag yet---)---Himself is  doing okay--I am finally beginning to accept his condition--He is going to be 95 yrs in October, so at his age perhaps  a few different responses to life, is okay----We may all be in that state one day--

Those of us who are fortunate enough to  enjoy the sunshine-- maybe we should share our  happiness---with people we see ---not worry about what "might"  happen-- enjoy every moment --

  2. Happy Birthday to your fur baby, Beau! Cannot believe he is 8 years old already; I remember when he was a puppy! Hope you have a calm, peaceful day in spite of the car/groomer stress that Beau has…

  3. It's Kathy. I agree with the comment above, it's hard to believe that Beau is 8 already. I'm glad that himself is better. It must be so hard for him to not be able to do all the things he used to do. I love the meme with the happy little girl - sometimes we just have to have faith! I did something fun this morning - dynamic stretching, where a trainer helps to stretch your body. Oh how good that felt. Then I took Daisy for a walk - might be the last for awhile. We're expecting very hot days over the holiday weekend! Hopefully that will be the end of it! Have a good day!

  4. Hi Lynda: Happy Birthday to Beau! It's much better to accept himself's condition because it's probably not going to improve. You clearly love him 'to the moon and back' and that makes it so hard to accept everything. But getting the tests and medication can only help - I think.Tonight play the piano and relax! Hugs Brenda

You will have a busy couple days with Beau, hair and, I am sure other errands, too.
I have run one friend to a neighboring town (the one I took on errands yesterday). She gave me money for gas. I stopped at the Dollar Store (do you have those? Things there are now $1.25!) and got some interesting things.
When will I get time for my Sadie? Tomorrow for sure she will do a couple loads of laundry and vacuum. Today just dishes and lovin' on Lucky.
Nice here, too. In the 70s F mostly sunny with a gentle breeze. This weekend we are do for more heat,,,95F! Yuck.
    Hope the errands go smoothly for you. {{{HUGS}}}

  6. Beau can't be 8 already! Can he? Oh, yes, the years do fly by, don't they?

Relaxing into acceptance is a lot of what life is about... and gratitude, of course! Life is good, breathe on!

  7. Hi Lynda
Loved the inserts and now we must remember to have faith and it will all work out as it should.
You are an amazing woman. You inspire us every day.
Happy Birthday to big Beau. My DH has his BD today too. They both have heart conditions and are very cute and sweet. I hope travel to groomer and vet isnt too bad.
Himself going on 95 is quite amazing. We know you love that man so much. Keeping you both in my prayers.
Its gorgeous in St.Louis. Cool temps, open windows and sun. Plus a full blue moon. Cool temps are temporary but so lovely. Makes me happy to be alive.
    Blessings in your day

  8. So good to hear you up-beat and accepting today. You have a b usy day with Beau so enjoy it. I had a friend in the same situation as you and she said she had a short saying she would repeat to herself when things were going downhill - sort of a mantra (?) - something like "this too shall pass and all will be well tomorrow". Said it kept her focused and could help clear her hurt. Worth a try!

Have a fun weekend - will any of the kids be there for the lake? D.

  9. Happy 8th birthday to Big Beau. Wow! Time has flown, hasn’t it! Good luck with the groomers trip.

Glad there are no fires in your area. That’s a blessing.

Hard to have to deal with the challenges YOU are dealing w/due to Himself’s mental status. BUT it sounds like maybe the Lodge is good for both of you. Even though Himself would NEVER say that in a million years.

Yes, our weather is fantasti right now and enjoying it. It is going to change! 90’s Saturday through Tuesday. One day @ a time.

    Here’s to a terrific Thursday.
