If it's not one thing, it's another!!

-and, yesterday, I walked thru a huge storm---- loading dogs plus a cat into my car, so the real estate Lady could show people thru our house--then driving to the Boat Launch--with all the animals-- while the real estate Lady had 2 showings--- which -amounted to not much--- I surmise that there are a few people who want to view the inside of one's home-- or--perhaps want to view the inside of one's home, to compare it to some other place--It seems when a person decides to list their place,  it's like  one must deal with a great many  curious  " lookers"--before you may come across a serious buyer--Is it really worth all of the trouble?--I am beginning to wonder--

It was a difficult day yesterday all around--Late afternoon, I took Himself , and Lopez to town--I stopped at the Bank Machine---left Himself and Lopez in the vehicle--and inside the bank (which was closed)- I saw a person vacuuming--a cleaner-----AND I KNEW HIM--so I tapped on the window--and he shouted my name and we gabbed away thru the glass for justa few minutes--and then I heard Himself --inside the door of the bank machine very distraught---Apparently he left the car door open and little Lopez escaped-ran up the sidewalk---- Long story shortened--I managed to call Lopez who came running to me--luckily- First time Himself has ever gotten out of the car when I go into some place-The times..they are changing-- -I shall have to crate Lopez in the car--and maybe  not bring himself if he is going to get out of the car--
so--  to-day has been  busy--trying to figure out  how to deal with Himself now--- how to be able to leave, with him, safely in the car----Maybe I need to crate both Lopez and HIMSELF--- That might work--

Somehow----  I CAN do this--I HOPE! ----Lordy Be eh?--If it's not one thing--it's another--(Mom used to say that)

  1. OH my gosh. Mom became an 'escape artist' eventually as part of her Alzheimer's and figured out how to open the door locks, etc. It was then I knew I had better have my game plan in place for placement when needed to keep her safe. **SIGH** It is so hard!

    Glad they ended up both safe.

  3. The good news is that himself had enough sense to come and find you to let you know that the dog was loose. Glad it all ended well.

  4. I so agree with it being one thing or the other! Thank you for yesterday's words of encouragement. My daughter talked with a 3rd lawyer who she liked very much and will probably retain. Bryan (the boys' dad) does not want the boys - he just wants to hurt Lauriellen (my daughter). He's a narcissist who is unable to look after 2 little boys by himself but he's mad at my daughter because she left him after 4 years of physical and emotional abuse. So thank you - looks like things are progressing here. Funny that you might need to crate both... My grandfather had Alzheimer's and he started going out at night and walking to their first house about a mile away. Luckily they were nice people who then would call my grandmother. She finally had to get a special lock on the door that he couldn't open. Getting older, or caring for someone who is, isn't for the faint of heart! Hang in there - you got through yesterday, you can do anything!

  5. Well, that was an "adventure", wasn't it? Glad everyone was OK in the end (even little Lopez). And today is a new day to see what adventure presents itself.

  6. Yes, Lynda, It is always something! Hectic like you and the pets by the boat dock, Lopez on an adventure by himself, curiosity seekers going through your house, but it all turned out ok. Sure hope you got some down time after that though for tv, piano book or a nap. You deserved it!
    Just shopping today here, a bit of Sadie stuff. Made Lucky's vet appointment. All cats here, even those that never go outside, are required to have annual rabies shots. It is now illegal in Minnesota to declaw cats! That's a win for animal rights activists. Lucky was front declawed by his first owner.
    Now how did I get off on that tangent?!
    Let's believe that tomorrow will be better for all of us! (even though we are due for temps near 100F the next few days) {{{HUGS}}}

  8. Really love the sayings today and you need to remember them too! You have more issues than i ever want to deal with. See if you can get himself into programs/sessions/visits at the lodge he went to the other day And you could do your errands while he is there. Re the house showings a lot of agents here do virtual showings where people can do the tour of the house inside and outside before anyone comes to the house if they're still really interested. And if you're sure you are staying, take it off the market. I would think it's upsetting to himself. Have a relaxing evening and play the piano. Hugs Brenda

  9. I'm thankful all are well for another day! You may have to leave the dog at home crated when you leave. Never a predictable end to all the confusion in your life. As my mother would say, If it's not one thing it is two others. I guess she expected even more problems - who knows. D.
