Can she really live happily ever after--?

MERRY CHRISTMAS---  Please be happy--and nice--It is a day to be joyful  for sure--

We have freezing rain falling-- not a day to go to town--but , I may make a trip--to town-- around noon--I hear the weather will improve by then--only to the Pet store then for Chihuahua kibble-- I need to make 4 pies and hopefully I can get that done to-day--

The above made me laugh--because--it is so true---  How did I ever get this old , in such a short time?--older and wiser----  I think!

You know how I worry--about everything--  Well, I have made signs--  tied them onto our gate--because Costco was going to deliver an order----  and  we have a big gate at the end our driveway-- so all my signs said--"PLEAE PUT ANY DELIVERIES JUST INSIDE OF GATE---"  ----  and they never came--and they never came--- and--Guess what?--THIS MORNING THEY CAME!--and ---  I looked out--no parcels out by the gate--THEY HAD BROUGHT THE PARCELS RIGHT UP TO THE FRONT DOOR_ Bless their heart eh?----- big boxes --  paper towels--toilet paper-- etc etc--I did not need to make 500 signs---telling them anything--

I am that crazy old Lady now---- Lord love a Duck! ----

So, it is almost the day when a large, fat , old guy, in a red suit appears--seems like he has gained weight this Christmas--He is checking if we all were nice--and I know that we are trying--

Enjoy your day--  Try to remember that heart of yours, chugging along, inside of you, and try to not overload it wth too much sweets-- Be kind to your pets----- I shall see yu all to-morrow--

Be strong---Now, isn't the Lady below, saying   how our lives  really  was?---But---  with age, ---we  become smarter than we realize---I think--I wish I knew years and years ago, what I know now---
-now , with my book, hopefully I will live happily ever after--- (Can one really ever stop the worrying?) I sure hope so!

  1. Merry Christmas! I went to the store yesterday, hopefully the last time until after Christmas. I bought two frozen pies for Christmas Day. I am going to make individual trifles in jars. I took the easy way out for the pies. Ha!
Only going to have 9 for Christmas Day. Small group this year.
Went to visit my friend with dementia. She was so alert yesterday and we giggled and smiled at each other. She also held small conversations. That was my Christmas miracle!
Have a relaxing and productive day. Jacquie

  2. I needed to read this today: "Can one really ever stop worrying?" I hope so, too. I'm chalking it up this morning to too much caffeine, and of course, the aftereffects of socializing, and staying up too late... an old-er lady needs her rest!

    Hugs & Merry Christmas, Lynda!

  3. Lynda, my dear friend, when will you take my advice and do what you can...and then STOP worrying and trust that all will be just right. Just like Costco delivering right to your door! Life gives us marvelous surprises like that so often that sometimes we don't realize it!
3 memes I'm saving today. Love the Nora quote.
You are young at heart. You pretend we are children and Santa is going to bring us presents. Love it!
Mama told me when I was young that Santa brought presents to us cuz it was baby Jesus' birthday and the present he could give Jesus was to be kind to His children.
Just making stuff for daughter's dinner tomorrow. May be able to get another load of laundry done...dark clothes like sweat pants and sweat shirts. My laundry was really piled up, but it's almost done now.
If you do that drive into town, I know I don't need to remind you to be extra careful. You want to be home when Santa visits!

  4. Watch out for your heart the rest of the year, but make your brain happy during these holidays, lest we get the old fishwife syndrome going around!! We need to smile, lol!

  5. Love the meme about getting older. I also thought it would longer. And that crazy old lady starts to visit. Be careful out there with freezing rain. WE were supposed to get some but I don't think we got any. You were lucky with Costco especially this close to Christmas. Have a good night. Brenda

  7. It's Kathy. I'm trying again. I had written earlier but it wouldn't publish. How wonderful that they delivered your parcels right to your door. I have been purchasing more and more with free delivery - I love not having to go to the stores so much any more. It was so foggy here this morning that my husband offered to drive me to the gym (only 1 mile away but I accepted). I hope your day was a good one!

  8. Hi Lynda! I hope your outing went well and the roads were decent for you. I went out in the drizzle today. I usually don't but since my nephew was with me I felt ok about it. Driving makes me anxious so I need to quit worrying about everything too. I would feel a lot better. Did you get your pies made? Great for Costco bringing your order to you. That was good. Hope you, Himself and the fur babies are ready for the big day! I got Tommy and Kloi a bag of treats and a toy to share. They have so many toys. lol Enjoy your evening!

  9. Good morning Lynda,
I am wishing you an himself a very Merry Christmas.
I read where you are losing weight. I am still at the same weight.
That is okay. I still fit in my clothes, so I am saving money.
The weather here is foggy but warm for Michigan (47 degrees) at 6 AM. It is supposed to get up to 53. Crazy weather, and they say we don't have global warming!
Take care and know that I read your post, I just don't write.
    Luv Bev
