The Key to being happy--

I saw the above and thought I need to remember all it says--things like, "FIND THE TIME"-"SPEAK YOUR LOVE"--so many times I hear that in my head--I shall speak loudly now--"I LOVE YOU"-----"SEEK OUT A FORGOTTEN FRIEND"__-So much to strive for--

-a De-Icer---at a Calgary Airport---sent by Son#2--the Pilot--  taken by him, on a snowy day, as he sat on the runway, waiting to go to Vancouver--When I saw that, I thought, "Oh , I'm so happy I'm not on flights right now--- weather can hold up flights-- --- A plane being de-iced is a good thing in snow-y weather, but I do remember sitting on an aircraft and having all whatever they use, splashing at the aircraft and hoping it would stop whatever it was supposed to stop after we took off--(but then I worry about everything, as you know!)

-some good advice  right now--  Remember to take care of "you"----this time of year---We think of others--and not enough  about ourselves--

The 2 dogs have been out--  We have rain falling--  The driveway is ice-y---  rain on snow  makes it that way--Sadie  (who is really me!)--has been here--  did a good job in the kitchen--even washed the kitchen floor-- Beau drools a lot as he watches us eat--

I have been researching books to read, on my kindle-- I do not know what I would ever do , without the Kindle-
-I must continue on here-- Yes, we will attempt to get our Christmas tree up to-morrow--It is a half a tree--which hooks onto the wall--I shall drag it up from the basement--That will be the extent of our decorations
Make it a good day in your part of the world--Take  time for yourself----- It will keep you happy--

  1. Sorry I haven't commented lately....but have not been on my computer much as there is so much going on for me. I have my tree up and decorated and even bought a new decoration this year....an Advent Wreath with the 3 pink and one purple candle (which all operate on batteries). Can't have real candles as my two cats would probably knock them over.....
My 4 kids will all be here for Christmas for the first time in 3 years! My son in CA and his wife and son haven't been here - so I am very excited and have been shopping and stocking up! There will be 17 of us and I will cook a big dinner! Have been buying and wrapping gifts every evening!
So sorry to learn about your recent fall with the Dyson! I love my Dyson - but it is cordless and pretty light weight and hangs in the utility on a wall charging station! I fear falling so I do yoga 3 or 4 times a week and have found it really helps with my balance!
I do not envy your cold weather and snow! I am thankful that it hasn't been too cold here in Illinois so far. I am like your little dog - I don't want to go outside when it is cold either! hahaha :-)

    1. Wow Sandra---All your family will be together-- and I'm sure your husband will be there looking down--We have 4 Dysons--one on each level-- The one that hit my head was the big ball one that plugs in--I need to replace the main one that is cordless--It seems too old--I do like them -- So happy for you --I wish I could hover over and see you all--so so nice!--Lynda

  2. It's Kathy - we have rain also. It was snowing this morning but must have warmed up while I was at the gym. I have a pot luck to go to shortly - not too excited to be driving in the rain! I remember those days of flying in the winter - I had to travel at least twice a month for my job. Oh, I hated the days when there were delays. Made things so much harder. I wasn't a big fan of travel even then! Hope you have a great day! Oh, Charlie Brown and Snoopy have the right idea!

  3. Hi Lynda! It is rainy in Ohio but 58 degrees. I hope your day is going well. I have been taking care of the two sick yorkies. We are taking them to the vet shortly. Can’t wait to get meds for them to help with the mess and help them feel better. How is Beau and his foot doing? I hope all better now. Guess I better get a bag of supplies ready for this 30 minute trip. Will check on you tomorrow. Enjoy your evening.

Yes, the weather is yucky here, too. Just at the freezing point with a bit of precipitation. I am sure it will be just snow soon.
I've been busy running friends around. I am glad to do it, but it often conflicts with what I want to do myself! Is that awful of me?
Having lunch now, then finishing protecting my new coat. Then, if I am lucky, a nap with Lucky before getting ready for karaoke.
Sometimes we gotta stick to a routine.
Sadie was here only a short time to wash dishes, then she went to your house to do the whole kitchen!
Sill haven't found my little tree. I have one more place to look...tomorrow!
    You and yours have a wonderful weekend, Lynda! {{{HUGS}}}

  5. I remember those years of commuting on airplanes, sitting there and watching the de-icer get sprayed on. I remember one Christmas season pulling up to the gate and not being able to connect until the flight ahead of us coming in backed out... only it was my connecting flight and I was stuck at O'Hare overnight. Ah... so much of life lived!

Hope you have a good weekend and your son and his fellow pilots have safe flights!

    (( hugs ))

  6. Great thiught provoking inserts today. I'm not able to copy them and would so love to save and share. Don't know what I'm doing wrong sigh. Not tekki.
Lynda, please go on Amazon and order some ice cleats for your shoes. Way too dangerous taking dogs out on ice or doing anything on ice.
Be careful getting the tree up from basement.
    Enjoy your evening.
    Hugs
