Give yourself a hug-right now-

It is early-- 7am--  I was up at 6am , well, 5-30 am--I had to get the wash in--and into the dryer- before 7am---saves $$$$$----  All these rules eh? --kinda drives one crazy--
Well---- It is my Birthday to-morrow---  I will be 81 yrs young-- Lordy Be! How did I ever get this old?

And--yesterday, my brand new Dr called "ME"----  He is easy to talk to--I like him--- I told him about the poor heart, chugging along on that eco-cardio machine--slushing and sloshing--  and that I felt so sorry for the heart on the screen--(my heart)- which has chugged away for now  almost 81 yrs--with me addicted to ice cream--(I never spoke of that!) He did say my thyroid was lower than it should be so increased the thyroid pill--

I told him also that I did not see a fetus on that eco screen--Praise the Lord!-It sure looked like the  screen where one sees a fetus floating -- We had a chuckle over that----So---I started the new thyroid pill this morning, which , in time, should boost my energy level--

To-day, Himself goes to   the "Day Program", and he is looking forward to that------It is dark here  still-  no dogs have been  out and I must get at that--
Oh--I lost another half a pound--  down 5.5 pounds since I stopped the "ice cream  diet"-- to help the old heart-----  (Just think of it!--  Your heart begins to chug away --when you are born---- and never stops--all your life- and all that bad ice cream  doesn't help the poor thing!---- )

The Dr, did tell me that I was  in good shape at me age-- (Of course-I never spoke of the ice cream diet) --  Thin thoughts --try to think  that--help YOUR  ol' heart----a healthy diet --celery--veggies--lotza water--no G'ale--

Anyway---time to hit that Dreadmill--

It is a brand new day---and--here we are --a part of it---
Give yourself a Hug--right now---and appreciate "life"

  1. It's Kathy. Your blogs always cheer me up and this morning I really need it. We went to a holiday party last night - they had a DJ and he played the music so loud I couldn't hear the person talking right next to me. Slept lousy and I also got up at 5:30 am which is not in my normal routine. I have to go to my daughters this morning, soon, and I was hoping my husband would offer to drive me but nope - he went back to bed! So I guess I have to be that strong woman you always talk about, put on my big girl panties and drive myself. I wouldn't mind except 2/3's of the drive is on the freeways and people drive so much faster than the speed limit! I'm glad you got some medication to help give more more energy! I hope himself has a good day at Day Care!

  2. Good for you getting the laundry together early to avoid the higher cost later in the day.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! 81! Will be there with bells on to help you celebrate! You are an amazing woman and deserve an amazing day!

Glad you like your new Dr. Hope you don’t have too much trouble getting used to the new dose of thyroid med. Always takes me about 2 weeks to get acclimated.

Hope Himself enjoys his Daycare today. And YOU get to have some me time!

  3. Hi Lynda! Hope your day is going well. It is sunny in Ohio. I love it. Rain on Sunday. I am going to put up a new birdhouse today and transplant a hosta while it is nice and in the 50’s. That is early for your laundry but I know you have said it is the best $ time. No fetus! That’s a good thing! LOL You crack me up! I drink pop a couple times a year so I got some G’ale for Christmas. It is my fave. That and ice cream! We are alike. Must be the sagitarius thing we got going on! Hope daycare is fun today and makes Himself happy. Sadie better get going. Enjoy your day. Happy Birthday Eve!:)

  4. Lynda, if I could I would send you NON_DAIRY 'nice cream!' Made with almond or oat milk....almost no cholesterol. That's what's wrong with dairy ice cream. I don't want you to feel deprived. The time of your birthday is a good time to make the change.
My laundry room is busy again. It's good you can get yours done early. We cannot use the machines during quite hours. (8 PM to 8 AM).
Since I can't do laundry yet, exercise and washing the kitchen floor are on my list.
Himself will be happy for his outing, and probably take a good nap afterward. Maybe you can catch one, too.
Will post birthday wishes today and tomorrow, too. You are only 4 years older than I am. Here's hoping you have the best birthday in years!

  8. I'm late to the party today! That sounds like you have a kind and sensible "new" doctor... it's good when they are easy to talk to, and yes, you're in good shape "for your (our) age"! Hope your day went well, as it's getting on toward bedtime here now.
