Life is a beautiful mess---

Hello there---Happy Sunday--I hope all is going pretty good in your part of the world!-----  These are very busy days-- We must try to be organized somewhat, don-cha think?-----

Son#2 just called--He is driving to the Airport in Toronto--en route to LA----He was happy because he said there would be 3 Pilots, which meant he can get a wee rest  en route---  He is so funny--

He was telling me that when there are a few Pilots (depending on the # of passengers)-----that--sometimes, he pulls a sweater over his uniform, and walks down the length of the plane--- just for exercise--The passengers do not know that he is the Pilot-- and even the  Air Hostesses , if they work the rear of the aircraft, do not know he is a pilot, and have been known to ask him to take his seat--That Dreamliner is a very long aircraft--He was laughing about this----He said they return  to Toronto this evening--

                                                         The Dreamliner

To-day is the day-- hopefully--that "the Christmas Tree" --might  get up- Poor thing has been down stairs for almost a year, waiting for this big day, to make an appearance in the Living room--Lordy Be!

Well, ours never looks like this one---and our presents are quite a few less--but, its the people who count--

--and the memories---

The People make our memories---lotza  babies --who have grown---and  my Dad with Himself and Son#2 and Son #3 below--- a  favourite memory--
I best get the tree upstairs--
It is calling my name---  Christmas 2023----- Here we come----

I hope to-day you get to enjoy this day--We are strong women  -----STRONG WOMEN FIGHT ---
with grace in their heart, kindness in their voice, and love in their souls.

  1. I have all the decorating done except for the tree and that is my goal for the day. The snow we have on the ground should melt by tomorrow night as we are expecting quite the rain storm with 2+ inches of rain. Good Luck with your tree.

    1. Memories...............some great and wonderful....some not, but they are there all the same. One of mine is when we would go horseback riding thru the woods and try to find a tree to mark for the next Christmas. We carried a long yellow ribbon so we didn't forget. LOL We did have fun....my son would always take his fishing rod and if we found a pond out in the middle of nowhere he would stop and fish..
Have a great week and tell #2 to keep up the good work on the exercising....you have such handsome children.

  5. It's Kathy. Yes, it's the memories that count. Our very little Christmas tree will not see daylight this year. My husband isn't interested and I just don't have the energy. I am a strong woman but I have to put that strength into healing myself! I can't wait to see yours. I love all the photos of your family and also the story of Son #2 disguising himself so he can get some exercise while en route! That seems very important on those really long flights that he flies. Have a lovely day today - it is a day of rest and I'm going to take advantage of that!

  7. We are strong women, Lynda. You especially.
I love your stories and photos featuring your family and pets. There is nothing about the pets or severe weather today, so I hope those are all fine.
We did karaoke last night and had a blast. I got to sing 5 songs.
Haven't looked in that last place for my little tree yet. Will do that later.
Got the lottery tickets to put in the cards I'm giving the residents here.
This next week will be catching up on things not Christmas related...laundry, etc. Sadie hasn't been too up on that lately,.
Paid some bills. Will get the rent check tomorrow when the bank opens.
Now Lucky is needing attention. We both just woke up from a 'long winter's nap.' Do you know where that phrase comes from? I used to know the story by heart.

  8. Love all the pictures of the past Xmases. Especially of you and the roses. REally nice. I don't do much for Xmas as it's just me and my pup here. Just got a tiny fake tree at Loblaws about a foot big! Will be buying only small things for a couple of neighbours, etc. Hope you have a lot of your family around and can get more pictures at whoevers house you celebrate at. Have a relaxing day. Hope the pilot is able to get his walking exercise on his flight! Hugs Brenda.

    2. Glad son #2 can take a wee break while flying to LA. That’s funny that he puts a sweater on over his uniform and nobody knows he is the pilot!
