DeleteYou had a great time with your family and all that wonderful food! That's great! How many dogs were there?
ReplyDeleteI had a great time at my daughter's, too.
I commented on your comment last night, but you may not have seen it.
I was getting more stuff out of the car. It was wet, my old crocs had no traction left. I stepped up on the curb, my crock didn't do well, I went flying in the air slightly to the right. Landed on my tail bone, back, head in quick succession. Spent hours in the ER. I have a broken pelvis. Dr also found that I had a hip fracture in the past. The Veterans Admin always said that hip was fine.
The rest of the day was great. Today, I'm just doing Tylenol and pain patches. Plan to snuggle with Lucky soon, as I didn't have a good night. The smallest movement seems to hurt. I will heal, but it will take some time.
YOU and yours have a wonderful last week of 2023. I know you will...just trusting that everything will be fine. {{{HUGS}}}
Oh yes I read what you wrote yesterday--AND I commented -And I sent my email address in case you wanted to write while you rest there-- A Broken hip is a serious thing--poor yu--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Looks like your Christmas celebration was a huge success! We also had ours at my oldest daughters yesterday afternoon. It was nice to not have to clean my house and today I am just putting away gifts and hanging out! I am never offended by anything you write - you always make my days better! Merry Christmas.

DeleteMerry Christmas, Lynda! I think your kids have done just about the perfect gift-choosing for you and Himself. Some of those kinds of gifts showed up at our family gather, too... especially for those who enjoy getting out for meals!
ReplyDeleteMay the holiday bless you and all you love, this special day! And may you not get the snow that decided to visit my neck of the woods, where it is much appreciated!

DeleteHi Lynda: Merry Xmas to you, Fred and the fur babies. Sounds like you had a pretty perfect Xmas. Pretty thoughtful of the kids to get you gift cards for food. Great gift. And all the food you had for dinner looks fantastic. And we all love what you say. I am never offended. It's warm here today about 7 which is unreal for Christmas but I love it. Hope today was a good day for you too and you saw some of the family again. Have a great night. Hugs Brenda

DeleteHi Lynda! What a lovely time with your family. Always enjoy the pics you share with us. I look forward to your blog and appreciate you taking the time to do it. It was 58 degrees in Ohio today. We enjoyed good food and too much dessert. lol I had some Cananda Dry and thought of you. I hope you had at least a few sips. Happy Christmas Night!:)
ReplyDeleteOh --I did have a Canada Dry--I vowed I would not--but-- it happened!- -58 degrees os very warm for Dec. --=No snow here -==-rained all day--Lynda
DeleteGood for you! Yes warm and sunny. It was supposed to be cloudy. So nice. A little rain tonight and tomorrow.
DeleteLynda, I just read your comment to my second{?} yesterday. They let me go home cuz I proved I could walk...little 2 inch steps with a walker about 10 feet. Luckily a neighbor on my floor who also drives heard where I was and rushed over. She brought me home, went to my apt and got my walker and made sure I got in. My other friend (with the bariatric walker) came to my apt, too. The stood by while I was in the bathroom getting out of my rain and gravel soaked sweat pants and took Tylenol. It is very hard to move around. I do have so many helpers, though. My adopted (kinda) daughters brought my dinner, one said she will get my garbage and recylces down for me tomorrow, one of the daughters, Leann is coming after her work to clean the cat box.
ReplyDeleteI am good, sweetheart, and you are, too. You have enough to care for with Himself, yourself and the pets. I would really appreciate the prayers, though. I will keep you posted. Notified my daughter nearby and my doc son and daughter-inlaw in California. My oldest son's wife is also rooting for me.
You are so kind and caring! Thank you for all you do for your family and encouraging and inspiring us here on your blog.
Oh Lynda, I am soooo glad that you and Himself were able to get together w/your kids/grandkids. Awesome. And that they helped Himself to and from the car. Nice. Looks like delicious food! And FOOD VOUCHERS! What a wonderful gift. for sure, there are times when supper is a stretch to think about and prepare.
ReplyDeleteOur DD came over, but DS and Crystal (his beloved) bought a house and moved in (or started to) yesterday. Moving themselves. More to go, but they're about 1/2 done now, per DS. Nice.
HUGS and blessings
