When you look at her, do you smile? It's kinda impossible not to isn't it?-I just want to wrap my arms around her, hug her, and laugh along with her--
This day, our tree is coming down--I hope!--(Of course, one never knows what the day will bring, but that is what is in the plans)---- It is still dark here- (8am)- Lopez had me up at 4am as he wanted a drink of water--gulped that down--and went to the door---so, there I was in my night gown walking around the front lawn--and he did need to go out--so--after all that-- I went back to bed and slept until 6-30am-- woke up with Himself poking me--I think he thought I was dead--Crazy eh?----poking me----
I did not get angry with him-- kinda shocked that he pokes me--- instead of whispering sweet nothings in my ear-- but---- he did get me "up and at-er"---and at our age , one must accept , that at our age, that probably is as good as it gets--LOLOL--So, the day has begun and we are a part of it. I am aiming to take the tree down--- Hopefully that will happen--(One never knows for sure if the plans happen)----Do you take your tree down as soon as yu can?--
Son #2, the Pilot, is finally home--Christmas travelling is long with a great many delays-- Pilots never know exactly when they get to take off--His Birthday is to-morrow. Hopefully he gets to stay home!
Our lake is still open--ice along the shore--very unusual--plus, we do not have any snow now at all--strange for this time of year--I must get some pictures to show yu all to-morrow--
Now that we are back to normal, I found the below meme to keep you all on "the straight and narrow"-- (Dad used to say that--Funny how these expressions just pop into my head--
Life goes on--and on--- Even with a "poke" in the morning, life can be good , if we make it that way--
I must get off of here--- but, before I go, maybe I'll play the piano for you--
ENJOY THE DAY--- WE ARE A PART OF TO_DAY___ almost 2024-----
'
Good Morning! Your son #2 shares a birthday with one of my nephews! There's only 366 possible birthdays and billions of people, so it's not surprising when we find someone who shares ours!
ReplyDeleteStay safe up there. We have a bit of frozen slick down here in the middle of the US. But it's a recent addition, as we had incredible warm weather through last week.
May your day go well, and you get your tree down... whether poked or whispered awake, our day has begun!
(( hugs ))
He will be home to-morrow on is big day--then he is off to TIMBUKTOO--LOL--- No snow here at all--- but----it will come!--LOL-- I enjoy yer comments Thanks Barb-- and hugs-Lynda

DeleteWow that is weird about no ice on the lake, also happening here around the Great Lakes. Glad your son has a birthday coming up! My son turned 45 on Christmas Day, grandson 13 on Christmas Eve. I don’t pay attention to those lists, always made for Women and complaining about us not measuring up! Baloney! Pretending we are never enough! Poo on them. Hope you get the tree down, we wait until after New Year, althat time decorating, May as well enjoy it. Take time to read or play piano, make yourself happy. You deserve more than a poke! ❤️😊🥰
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the piano--AND I"M NOT A LIBERACE--but--Beau and Lopez do not care--LOL--- Lynda --Good to hear from yu--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Love the first and second memes. Would love to give the lady in meme #1 a hug! Happy birthday to son #2. Hope he gets to stay home. I think himself was worried why you weren't up by then. Hope you get your tree down today. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteTHE TREE IS DOWN--LOLOL-- but --the outside one is till up-- ThAt Lady is so sweet in that first meme isn't she?-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteWith all the busy-ness that I'm not used to, I was really tired. I slept today until 1:30 pm. Wowee! I caught COVID somewhere in all this busy-ness, and I get to stay home from work until the 2nd. I really do NEED this pause. I don't really feel bad at all, just been having some rapid trips to the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteOh poor you with that COVID--Hopefully there will be no "long Covid" stuff--I was blessed with a heart murmur after I had it-- Fred with his vocal cords stuck open--so--REST_REST REST-Love, Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I am also loving the 'no-snow' Christmas season. We have a bit of snow today but nothing that will stay on the ground. Yes, we must live every day - and I love your Life is too Short meme above. We just got home from the funeral of my 56 year old nephew - so very sad. But also such a great time catching up with nieces and nephews I rarely get a chance to see. These are relatives on my ex-husband's side, but the nieces and nephews were all being born after he and I were married so I love them all so much. So it's a happy/sad day for me today. Thankfully I get to go to Pilates in a few hours - and tomorrow is my birthday! So I'm going to live my best life! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteKathy-- HAPPY BIRTHDAY to-morrow--and yes, live every day-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Hope your Wednesday has been wonderful! Broken sleep is a bit tiring. I did the same this morning. It has been so foggy in Ohio today! I will appreciate just cloudy after today. Oh, happy birthday tomorrow to your son. Hope he gets to relax and enjoy after all this holiday work. I do like my tree put away quickly but my nephew enjoys it so I wait until he goes home Monday. Hope you rest better tonight!:)
ReplyDeleteThank yu--Ill tell that Pilot guy yu wished him a good birthday-Lynda
DeleteYes! Ohio birthday wishes! Thank you!
DeleteWho could look at the lady at the top of the page and not smile?????
ReplyDeleteTell our pilot we said Happy Birthday at the appropriate time.
I don't know what we will do with the tree...I wish she'd throw a darn sheet over it and leave it....I no longer enjoy decorating it. My heart just is not in it.
The one time I didn't copy and past my comment in cast it didn't post...AND IT DIDN'T POST! I love that old lady, too.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't ever take our tree down until the weekend after the New Year.
{{{HUGS}}}
