HAPPY NEW YEAR__

                                              --AND-- HAPPY NEW YEAR"S EVE-----

Soon, we are heading into town, to the grocery--I have to get the 2 boys out--as in dogs--and then we will "hit the road"--

And I must ask--WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR NEW YEARS?--Are you like us?--going to your Living ROOM---? We will be going there--but--gosh----NO!---  We do not stay up till midnight--a brand new year though-- 2024--Jeepers !!Creepers!-----

I might do a few phone calls to friends and relatives--  that is about as exciting as it gets around here-

I have not made  any New Year's Resolutions--yet--but--am trying to remember the ol' heart in that ECO Cardiogram, chugging and sloshing away , and  remembering that it began to work, 81 years ago, and I have never , before that "ECO"--given it any thought----the poor thing-- I have eaten whatever I felt like--  I have watched my weight go up and down, several times in my lifetime--and--that heart never complained--I know it must not enjoy all the ice cream I have devoured--so---perhaps, now in my "older than old years", I will try VERY hard to help it out--What do you all think?

I wish you all a great day--  Be STRONG--of course---  BE KIND ---BE HAPPY----Lord love a Duck---  That is a lot of instructions ---I do love you all----I do enjoy reading your comments---
We are SO SO fortunate aren't we?--- a brand new year---2024----AND WE ARE GOING TO BE A PART OF IT!

I’m sure I’ll be like a comment I saw on Facebook, “if I’m up at midnight it will be because I need to go pee!” LOL 😂

  3. It's Kathy. We woke up to just a bit of snow this morning - little Daisy was NOT impressed. She kind of liked the last couple months of snow-free days! But it's warming up again later this week so it's possible it could all melt. Our New Year's Eve will be like yours - I have tried in the past to stay up to see the New York ball drop, which is only 11 pm at our house, but I just don't think I care anymore. We might watch a movie together but it will all be rather low key! I'm home all day today and want to just relax and enjoy my day! Good luck with the grocery shopping! Happy New Year, Lynda and Fred! I'm so glad we're friends!

  4. Cold here, for central coast of FL…47 degrees when I walked at 7 AM….that probably sounds like a heat wave to you! Our little neighborhood is having a street party from 5-7; everyone brings a dish to share and a chair to sit on. Someone has a fire pit as it will be cold. Then the goal is to stay awake until midnight LOL! Wishing you continued good health and happiness in 2024! ❤️ Eissa7

  5. I saw that what to wear to the living room on a friend's FB page! It's my thought, too. After our community dinner at 4, that's where I'll be...meditating, tv...Lucky, of course.
Good luck with your shopping. Are the stores closing early where you live? Lots are here. A few will have short hours tomorrow. Stores like Walgreens.
Thank you for recommending, The Good Pig! I am several chapters into it (just finished the watermelon party and construction of the new pen for Hosgood and the Ladies).
Once I begin reading, it's hard to put down.
We did get 1-2 inches of snow over night. The sun is supposed to come out this afternoon, though, and melt most of it.
I actually have time for a brief nap due to the fact that our meal is later than I thought...4 PM. I will be late for meditating, though. Funny, at my age I prefer to stick to the schedule that is comfy for me. Also, kitty cats prefer to keep to the same schedule...so they know what to expect. Lucky is an integral part of my life.
Did you find a cat tree for Sushi on Amazon? After Christmas now, I bet many are on sale. Also check jacksongalaxy.com. Did you ever watch his tv show..."My Cat from Hell"? He taught people how to live with their cat and correct unwanted behavior.
    All for now, love. Will check back later. Hoping all 5 of you have a happy day. And, of course, a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year. {{{HUGS}}}

Wishing you and Himself peaceful times.

  7. Happy New Year!!!
I am having some friends over. It’s a fun group. We start at 5 and I’m serving meat and cheese trays, dips, breads, meatballs, crackers, etc. Everyone will be gone before midnight. My husband will be asleep and I and the dog will stay awake. I will have to keep noise on because our crazy neighborhood will be blowing up fireworks. My dog will go crazy. So, music will be playing for distraction!
Wishing you and all a very joyful and blessed New Year! -Jacquie

  14. Happy New Year Lynda,
I hope you get a chance to see my comment.
I wish the best for you, himself and your family. We stayed home '
also. We watched the Bears game in the afternoon and then hubby and I fixed a chicken pot pie for supper and had some herring.
It is a tradition in our house. It snowed a little here in Michigan but then it melted. Take care
    Luv Bev
