Merry Christmas-

It is a lovely bright--cold day-- light snow overnight----  I took Himself to  the DAY Program-- The roads were good--stopped at the post office to mail a parcel to OHIO--to the daughter--and -- just took the 2 dogs outside-----  and , I had a call from the clinic to say my new Doctor will not be calling me--a telephone visit--and that is OK with me------

Sadie wants to vacuum (who you know is really me)---- so, this will be "short and sweet"-- In case you wondered, our tree never got up--never even made it upstairs to the living room--To-day, I will at least carry it up to the front hall--I'll get Himself on one end of the box--I hope!--

Maybe I'll get it up, if I do it in stages, as some of you told me that you do----We cannot have a "Holy Jolly Christmas" without a tree-

--Well--I saw the above picture and thought-, "Lordy Be! We have changed so much----  It was  taken when we lived in Ottawa--It says 1967 -- That was  56 years ago---

This is how I feel like I look to-day---Himself certainly hasn't aged as much as I have---Here he is with Son#3--

Well, what can one do eh??------  Women have so much on their plates-------  (We must laugh at life!)--

I hope your day is special----Decide to make it  a great day---Laugh a lot---sing---- turn up the music--

I hope you are smiling---  and --with that, I must get offa here and give Sadie a hand-----

  2. It's Kathy. I'm glad you just relaxed and enjoyed your book yesterday. I did about the same. It felt good to have a day to just do whatever I felt like doing. Today is busier but I'm not feeling it. Didn't sleep very well last night. One of my nephews passed away on Thanksgiving and I learned last night that his funeral won't be held until Dec. 27th. The parents are both gone, there were 7 children in that family and I imagine it was a challenge to get everyone back to Minnesota. But the reminder made me feel so sad, he was only 56. From my ex-husband's family and the first of the many that I met. I hope you have a great day!

  3. Lynda, you are so funny! 2 memes to save and share today! I will wait for the Christmas wave until Christmas Eve. Hope I remember, and it's like Mark Twain says....my mind will be missing!
Glad Himself got to day care today. That gives you and the pets some time to do other things.
Haven't looked in that one other place for my little tree, either.
Will deliver cards to folks in the building today, but need to get stamps for the ones going far away.
In any case, we have a bit warmer air...at least it's over freezing. Mixed sun and clouds. That's ok. I love the peeks of the sunshine.
Doing a couple big loads of laundry...finally the laundry room was free. Must go put them in the dryers now in case someone is waiting for a washer.

  4. Hi Lynda: The Merry Xmas meme is real cute. You find lots of good stuff. Glad himself got to the day program today. See if one of your sons can come and help get the tree upstairs instead of one of you falling. Relax tonight and play the piano. Hugs Brenda

  5. Sounds a lot like my day. Only my phone call was from the dentist, to ask could I come three hours earlier tomorrow? My Sadie and Your Sadie both seem to want to get cleaning done, but I'm better at ignoring mine than you are. Hee-hee!

Hope you have a good Monday!

  6. We got a little snow in Ohio last night. It was only in the 30's today while out for a dental cleaning and getting groceries. I am happy you got Himself to the program and you were able to get errands done. We will get our trees up eventually. lol I shipped packages at the post office today as well. It felt good to get rid of them. I think you and Himself have aged so gracefully. Love the pics. I must be Sadie tomorrow after being out today. We will get this done! Enjoy your evening!

  7. I hope your day was special today too! I had to get up early because I had to be at the hospital for my yearly mammogram at 7:15 am this morning. I kept thinking to myself that I must be really crazy - to schedule appointments so early! Why do I do that when I hate to get up and have to go somewhere early in the AM? I guess it is because that is what I always used to do when I was working....but now I love getting up when I want and having my coffee and a leisurely morning! And I am also wondering how long I have to keep doing these tests like mammograms and colonoscopies? I am 76 years old....are they still necessary? Oh well - a good thing is that I finally got all my Christmas cards addressed and mailed.....had to fight with my computer and the mailing labels this year as they no longer lined up correctly....took me all of last evening and and most of this morning after I got back from the hospital to figure out how to re-align my address labels.....guess I shouldn't be sending 75 cards ..... once again - habits that I have created for myself! It is expensive, but I love sending friends and family a picture of my precious grandchildren...and they all pose for my picture at Christmas each year! Already have a plan for what we will do for this years group picture! I am hopeful that you and Himself got the tree upstairs today.....everything I do takes longer because I have to do it by myself. But you are right - we are stronger than we think and we can get things done if we put our minds to it! I need your Sadie to come to my house....I have been busy wrapping presents and my house has been neglected!
