I totally got out of bed this morning-

-
To-day is the first day of winter--- and--we have no snow--well, very little! ---It is Dec. 21st--- getting close to that jolly old man coming----and finally, I can--repost----  that "# 4 stages of life"----
#1---You believe in Santa--
-#2---You don't believe in Santa
#3--You are Santa--
#4--  You look like Santa---I love it! ----  LOLOLOLOL
It is very dark here outside --I must get the 2 boys out--(as in dogs)--and-- GUESS WHAT?--  Himself goes to his day program--- last one  until after the New Year----Nice for him!

I see daylight is just creeping in thru the trees--- Yesterday, I saw a flock of Gross Beaks---birds--on our  tree which hangs over the deck-- I spotted the grey and yellow colour of them--
I thought the above quite cute--and so true--and probably why dogs are so relaxed , compared to Humans--Why do we have to think about everything under the sun?--and--worry----?????

I thought the  above , quite true---- I know , we are wise people--- Those mistakes have made us this way--- AND _-STRONGER  THAN WE BELIEVE___
Remember John Kennedy?----  "the decision to try" --keeps us strong-

I must get the "boys" out-- -- "Day Program Care "  -days  are busy mornings--but --I do think of you all--just a few days before Santa pulls out of here---- I saw him yesterday , going over his list-- He told me , he has a gift for everyone, even if  they were naughty-and are trying now, to be nice ---

When I count "MY BLESSINGS"----- You know , that I count you all, twice----  just so you know--
                                          ---------       Always--always--remember--------

  1. Good morning!!! Yea! The first day of winter! Soon we will be getting back our longer days!
I’m ready for Christmas. Counting my blessings. Having lunch with 3 wonderful women. Tuesday I had a luncheon at my house with 10 of us! I am filled with gratitude and laughter. Spent several days with my grandsons. I am finding Christmas cheer.
I’m not always on the computer and when I am, I go to your blog. Thankful for our friendship as well! Life has its ups and downs, that’s for sure. I am trying to choose joy for these days. Thank you for always being there. Prayers for you and your family. Merry Christmas!

  2. The first day of Winter is my daughter in law's birthday... how symbolic of a birth on the darkest day of the year to a child who makes the world brighter as she grows!

I, too, am ready for Christmas... everything I need to bake the goodies is on hand. The gifts are wrapped and under the tree (or in the cold spot in the house, the ones that might melt when the afternoon sun heats up what's under the tree). The plans are ready for a very people-y and busy weekend, and I feel love and peace in my heart... which is where it had to start to have hope for the world.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  4. We, especially you, are so busy...always, but especially this time of year.
That, however, is what makes life interesting.
Himself will be happy with his day program, and maybe you can get a bit of rest or an errand done.
Gave a couple more gifts today. Only have one more for people here. Going to daughter's home Sunday with gifts for her, my son-in-law, grandson and granddog.
Got lots of quarters for laundry to I need to check if the laundry room is bus.
I almost can't wait until the season is over. Winter solstice means gradually more light later. Maybe we can do errands, etc. a bit later in the day.
Just about time to exercise. Hmm...or should I cuddle in bed with Lucky and exercise later? Maybe it depends on the traffic in the laundry room. Sigh.
Have a great day, Lynda. And thanks for the JFK quote. I was once in a small group of girls on the State of Michigan Capitol steps when he came to do a speech. We chanted (with pom poms), "Hooray for Kennedy, Hooray for Kennedy, Someone in the crown yells Hooray for Kennedy...1, 2, 3, 4 Who're we gonna vote for? Kennedy that's who!" The US has had some great leaders and some I do not favor.
We are raising the future leaders now.

  5. Hi Lynda! Hope your day is going smoothly. My nephew made it last night. I took him to McDonald’s for lunch today. It is a bit chilly but decent weather in Ohio. It was nice to get out a bit. Counting you twice! Enjoy your day!

  6. I know . . . our grass is still green!

Hope Himself has a good day @ daycare.

LOVE the meme about erasing past mistakes. Indeed, that would remove all the wisdom we’ve developed!

I hope you and Himself have a beautiful Christmas. Hard to believe the year is closing already. Where has time gone, eh!

  8. Lynda, you are a blessing to me and others. Great inserts again today. Where in the world do you find them?
Long time until Fred can go back to daycare. Hope he stays in a good mood. I got a new phone and it's driving me crazy. No grandkids or kids to ask for help and they alĺ have iPhone while I've always used Android system. Eventually it will straighten out, I HOPE.
Yes, 1st day of winter. Longer days ahead.
I'm excited about Christmas. ..getting to spend time with sons family. Hope you and himself will have great fun at one of the sons houses. How special that you knit mittens for grands. That's cool.
    Need to get rolling.
Blessings to you and your family.
    Hugs

  9. It's Kathy. I'm late posting today, seems like it was finally a pretty good day for me. I unpacked the Amazon box that had been sitting on my kitchen table for about 6 days now - tomorrow I wrap the presents for the little boys. All the older children get cash so they can get something they want but the little ones still love to open the packages! Another nice day here, cloudy but warm. Daisy and I walked around the yard to clean up after her - hadn't done that in awhile. We also played with the ropes outside for a bit. I hope you had some peace while himself was at the Adult Care program. Do you have big plans for the holidays? We are going to my oldest daughter's - but AFTER the football game is over - for dinner and presents. Not sure why my children all love football - we never ever watched it when they were growing up! Hope you had a great day today!
