Remember those days ?----Doncha wish sometimes you could dump that bowl of noodles on someone's head? Memories are so precious---So--How is your day going?? Lots has happened since I spoke to you all yesterday---
-#1. Rusty , the furnace guy, found a fan for the furnace and will be out to-day to install it-- (so he says)-
-#2. We found Thomas the Toad who, (if you remember) I stepped on and never saw him since-till now--You see, yesterday I was going to clean out the garden under the front bedroom window--Well, living in that garden, was a 4 ft long , quite fat, black snake--I figured maybe he ate Thomas (I should write a book eh?)-- I called the Ministry man, who seems to befriend snakes, and before I could say, "Johnny Robinson", he appeared with a big bag and a long stick--He said he would remove the snake--take him to his garden ---
As he was tramping thru our garden, he found the fat long snake---plus a yellow smaller one, which he had already caught--He proceeded to sit in my lawn chair near the snake pit--told me to go and continue my weed whacking--and that he would sit and wait for Mr Snake--THEN---TOLD ME THAT A FAT TOAD HAD JUST HOPPED OUT OF THAT GARDEN__which, I knew was Thomas--Anyway, he hasn't caught the 4 ft long guy but spotted him and assured me he would return today to "nab" him--
I knew you were all worrying about poor Thomas the Toad, so figured you could all relax now that Thomas is out , on the run---- (I must be absolutely nutty eh--- That is what you all are thinking-is it?)-
I know also that we all have dogs ---- and I feel that dogs are so special--always tuned into out safety--Here is someone's pet, taking care of the family baby-- (Good thing you do not believe everything yu see eh?--
Hopefully your day is more exciting to-day-than mine----What is on your agenda? Here, Son #2 and family, will be arriving to-morrow--AND our daughter will be here for Canada Day, July 1st with her 2 teenagers--They all arrive with their dogs--- Lopez will be in his 7th Heaven!---
Remember that you are special----and stronger than you even realize---
It's Kathy. I agree, we all need to be a little weird! When my twins were one I gave them spaghetti while my niece was visiting with us - yep, both boys dumped the spaghetti on their heads. My niece thought it was the funniest thing ever - I, however, knew that another bath was in order! I'm so glad you found Thomas the Toad! But wow, seeing 2 snakes. I don't think I've ever seen a snake around here but one day last spring Tom was taking Daisy outside for her evening care and right in front of the step was a possum. I guess Daisy didn't know what to do - and finally the possum turned and ran off! Glad it wasn't me! Today I have my appointment with the surgeon so hopefully I'll have a surgery date finally scheduled. It's been unsettling knowing it has to happen but not knowing when! Enjoy your family!
ReplyDeleteKathy--Your Spagetti story is funny-and the Possum story also-I shall say a prayer that your surgeon can help yu---- hugs Kathy--- Lynda
DeleteI love your posts so much. It reminds me I’m not the only one.
ReplyDeleteFor sure you rte not the only one--- We are all in this together--Thank yu for writing--- Hugs, Lynda--P.S.- Stay Strong!
DeleteGreat blog, sis, as always.
ReplyDeleteGlad your furnace fan is to be fixed! Relief...
I knew Thomas would be alright.
I am very connected to nature, too. Any animal...trees, flowers. I am a certified tree hugger, flower sniffer, etc. I told you about my conversation with the crow, didn't I? Such fun!
I am getting ready to go to the doc to have my hearing aids checked (they will not charge) and for labs for my PCP.
Need to leave soon. After all the work for the inspection, Sadie has off today. Hope she can help you if you need her.
Have a great day, Lynda, you and your brood...looking forward to family visits is almost as fun as when they come! {{{HUGS}}}, Love Maggie
The furnace is not fixed yet--Hopefully tomorrow--waiting here for Matt to arrive----- He must be visiting with bis brothers-- in town--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda! Gosh, snakes! Dumb snakes is what I call them as you remember I had one not long ago. Also, I dislike frogs very much so I am glad he is alive and well at your house! Hope all goes well for your furnace. Plumber came today and quoted me $650 for new shower faucets and to cut access hole. Geez! Storms this afternoon in Ohio. So happy your family is coming. Come back with your daughter. We will go for ice cream, again. LOL I am fine today besides my tinnitus has been really bad this week. I made an appointment with an audiologist for July 15. It is so annoying. Don’t work too hard getting ready for the kids and dogs. They are coming to see you not the house but I know the house looks great! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING is VERY costly now--Guess you jut have to pay it and hope nothing else is needed--Matt the Pilot is here in town--visiting with his brothers--I'm waiting to see him-Lynda
DeleteSo happy for you! Enjoy!:)
DeleteWhat lovely Canada Day plans! Hope you enjoy every minute of having family around you! Also glad that Thomas was found (and safe, the snakes didn't get him!)
ReplyDeleteBarb--I never made friends with a TOAD before---LOL_- Happy he survived me stepping on him-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Glad Thomas is safe. You can stop worrying that you killed him! Don't like the snakes hanging around though. Can't stand snakes. Great that your daughter and kids are coming too. Hope the pilot can stay long enough to see her before he leaves. Glad the fan came for the furnace. Both the air and the furnace will work as necessary. Have a good night. Brenda
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda--still the furnace is not working--hard to believe---- Hopefully tomorrow-- Lynda

DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteWeird and a bit daffy is the way to be!
I admire you so much. Somehow, inspite of all you do each day, you manage to write a daily blog, which we all look forward to and love. How in the world you manage to make me laugh, be inspired, be motivated to be a better person, entertain us, make us laugh, cause us to remember joys of the past and find clever inserts and pictures daily is quite the feat. You truly are amazing. I just love and admire you so much.
Glad to know Thomas is fine. I was pretty sure he was.
You must dress up fancy schmantzy when you go to town. Who in the world, but you, has a snake man? (Im terrified of snakes. Id be screaming and running in the house.) Somehow at the North Pole you manage to find a snake man, a weed eater guy, a mow and trim the lake hill guy, a furnace guy who found your part sooner, a shed clean out guy, junk take away guy LOL. You have quite a lot of men at your fingertips. Of course, it doesn't hurt that you are a very attractive lady.
Your house is going to be busy. How great that both your out of town kids, and pets, will visit at the same time. The local sons will be around too. Your house will be full of food, fun and laughter and more good memories. Family picture time.
We had thunderstorms and some heavy rain in St.Louis. Temperature went from 103F, a new record yesterday, to 72F today. Big temp drop and feels much better.
Hope your day was as awesome as you.
Hugs and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
