This 'n that-

Good morning!--Another chance to get it right---mega hot here--with the AC running-- Lopez and I have been out---Lotza mosquitoes out there--We  walked to the highway and back. The humidity must be extremely high--kinda makes one feel dizzy---

Yesterday I managed to cut the front grass---Hopefully I can do the septic grass this afternoon--I'll have to see what the day brings--

Do you think of yourself as a miracle?--I never do---but-----  I suppose everyone of us is a miracle--We are moving---are alive---so many reasons that we might not be here---I was the 3rd child in my family--- What if my parents decided to have only have 2 children?--What if?--What if?--

Himself does not go to the Day program today--which means  we can get a rest in early---I can read my book--help Sadie , the cleaning Lady this morning--(who, as you know, is me!)--and perhaps be the gardener this afternoon (weather permitting)---

I just had a call from our furnace man---  I had tried to reach him, as I noted the furnace light was flashing-- He told me to leave the AC on all the time--stop turning it off and on---  I did not know that--holy cow!----You learn something everyday!--Too bad I don't know everything--There is SO much to learn isn't there?--It takes a lot of courage to run a house---I never knew that either--

--ever onward here-- a new day--- and a good thing, because every day , I try to get stuff done--right--I guess - I used to spend too much time in a dress store----filling all these closets in the house, that I am now trying to declutter-
Very hot to-day ---- very buggy also----maybe a good day to stay inside----- to exercise the "courage"----so it will become stronger--

  1. Gosh, Lynda, I wonder why we're not getting the high temps that you are.
It's due to be 27.778 C today. Not bad humidity so far. We had rain much of the day yesterday, though. Over the weekend, we got 5 inches of rain!
Sadie will be helping me a bit, too. I will see if anyone is in the laundry room using both machines. I could do a load or two.
Other than that, not much going on here.
You work so hard! Between the house, the grounds, the shopping, Himself. I don't know how you do it...you are even a few years older than I am!
Guess we just gotta 'keep on truckin'...remember that phrase? Another is 'hang in there.' That usually shows an adorable sloth hanging from a branch.
Hope our days go well for us. Though sometimes we need to ask for help, there's nothing we can't handle! {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis Maggie

  2. Good morning, Lynda! It is hot in Ohio already this morning. We put a pool up yesterday for our nephew. What an ordeal. I ordered a cover for it this morning. Still need a ladder and chemicals. He better enjoy it. Lol I guess we can, too. Loved your blog yesterday but didn’t get to comment over the pool. The pilot food looks delish. I think it is spinach ravioli. I think he got that before. Lol Tell Matt thank you! Have a terrific Tuesday!

Yes, we definitely are miracles. And, well . . . we’re not designed to know everything . . . that’s why we are populated with a diverse assortment of people who have different talents and knowledge to share!

Hope you stay cool and get completed what you need to.

  4. Warm here, with the chance of storms later in the day. Ticked another medicalizing thing off my check list, and I'm living Ember-free today (not supposed to drive, will pick her up from boarding tomorrow morning), but I miss my little fur-bundle of energy, of course! The Prisoner has been glad of some Mommy time alone!

Onward... we all do what we can, one day at a time!

  5. Hi Lynda: I turn the air off and on all the time. I don't like it real cold and the girl downstairs is worse that me. So only leave it on til it gets to 79/80. Just got a new one last year and they never said anything about off and on. It's too hot to cut grass. Stay inside instead Hugs Brenda

Your A/C should be on a thermostat and like the furnace you should be able to set it and forget it. It would then do its thing by cycling on and off as needed and with how the unit is programmed it should be fine.

We could use some of your heat here, today it got up to 62F which is 2F higher than yesterday. Hopefully it will warm up a bit tomorrow. We don't need your humidity, though, it's been raining here in NE Montana and all the farmers are smiling...

  7. In Texas, we set the AC at 80, leave it there, from end of May until September 25. It goes off and in, as needed. Messing with it costs more money in the long run, because shutting it off, makes it work harder to catch up!

  8. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. After 2 long days of driving we finally arrived in Roanoke. We had dinner with my family last night which was so nice. It was very hot while we were driving, at one time the thermostat in the car read 101 degrees. Right now Tom is down having breakfast and Daisy and I are catching up on things. We're off to the children once he's done. I hope you can get your lawn finished but don't do it if it's too hot outside! I like the idea of a rest this afternoon. Have a good day!
