Lynda, busy day for you! Inside chores or outside can depend on the weather, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteApartment dwellers have very few outside chores. We do have 2 residents here, however, who tend our small garden. They have tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers...probably more veggies and flowers. They give them to who wants them. They did the work, so we just can't take what we want.
Our elevator quit Sunday night after power surges in the severe thunder storms we had. The worker is coming with a part to fix it today. AND TONIGHT...MORE SEVERE STORMS! Hope it doesn't happen again.
I have photos, too...in albums, on my computer hard drive, on my phone, on my walls, framed on shelves. Wouldn't give them up for anything. Memories...new photos of family I haven't seen in a while...
Sadie said she will help me for a time today. I'd better get busy with her, sis, in case she wants to go to your house later.
Isn't it wonderful? She's like Jeanie on the old tv show...she can blink and go anywhere!
I'll check later, too. Hope all four of you have the kind of day you want to have. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I cut a lot of grass to-day--did not weed whack--Yes apartment people do not have to do outside stuff-- lucky bums eh?--LOL---Yes Sadie really is a gem--just helps us each out--It was a good day here busy---- but productive-- Hugs to you my dear Sis! Lynda

DeleteO . . . M .. . . G! Good thing you got wind of son #1’s plans for the wood room. Sheesh! And YIKES! Yes, we parents live through a lot, and that’s why our hair turns gray or white! I know. I remember the days of being a young cutie patootie, too, having my OWN ideas that added to my parents’ hair turning gray/white! OY.
ReplyDeleteHope it’s a good day for you, Himself and Lopez!

Life has funny memories doesn't it Barb?? Kids put us thru a lot for sure-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I agree, a rainy day is a good day to get inside work done AND to get a nap! I love lying on my bed when it's raining outside - have always loved the sound of rain. We are waiting for a storm, it's very warm and very humid today. It's already hitting up north where my son and DIL live. Should hit us around dinner time. A very long time ago we lived in a little house and we only had wood heat. I gave birth to two of my children while living there and actually loved putting wood on the fire for the early morning feedings! But it was oh so cold when we got up in the morning! That's quite a story about Son #1 and his plans! Children can be quite a challenge sometimes! Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteSon#1 (Andrew) and his crazy idea about moving to the wood room WITH --the girl friend-----LOL-I remember our wood furnace and Fred , being Jamaican kept that furnace Way too full of wood--Its a wonder he did"nt burn down the house--- Crazy memories eh Kathy?---Lynda
DeleteStarted off cloudy here - but never rained! Cloudy, but warm and all those cicada's are singing loudly! I have two more bushes to trim in my front yard, but dreading it because they are sticker bushes - they turn beautiful colors of red, but I hate getting stuck by their needles! I should be cleaning house as my youngest son and family are flying in this Thursday from CA! They are coming for my oldest granddaughter's graduation party and my youngest granddaughter's first communion/confirmation! The second party is at my house so I have lots to do and lots of groceries to buy....and I end up doing the silliest things - like this afternoon I spent several hours cleaning out my garage that is attached to the house and now I am on my computer instead of cleaning bathrooms! Which makes me think I better go get busy! And I do remember being young - my how time flies!
ReplyDeleteSandra--You are amazing - to have all your kids visit-- but--good for yu to get on the computer--Its a wee rest--LOL--and you cleaned out the garage--Always something eh? Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteYou are STILL a cutie patootie. Indeed you are and stronger and wiser and more courageous than ever.
OMG, I loved the story of oldest sons plans for the wood room and the paint job..LOL. He didn't think that idea through. LOL. Kids
Hot, humid and a few showers off and on. Cicadas are loud!
Have a great day and good job on cleaning out stiff. Sure glad the guys didn't find snakes in the wood room. Eewww.
Glad that's done. Growing up, our house had a gigantic furnace that burned hunks of coal. The coal man would put a chute in the coal room and load up the coal room. It was dark as dark in there. Mom had to fire the furnace a shovel full at a time. I don't remember how the ashes got outside as it wasn't a walk out basement.. Guess she put them in a bucket and hauled them up the stairs. Don't remember.
Enjoy your day. Great inserts
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
Kids eh?--He painted parts of the wood room forest green-- The 2 guys carrying all the junk out of there, wandered why it was such a deep green--kinda crazy eh?-- LOL-Lynda

DeleteHi Lynda! I hope you enjoyed your rainy day. Rainy day in Ohio tomorrow. I went for bananas today and thought of you. LOL Such a funny story about the wood room. Ask your son if he wants to come finish it! He would laugh! About time to go out and water the plants. Enjoy your evening!
ReplyDeleteno rain here today but to-morrow I hear we are in for rain-- Yes, The wood room is now empty--and the green paint really shows up--lol--Funny that he wanted to live in the wood room--with his girl friend--Lynda
DeleteA busy day with the sprinkler repair guys cutting my internet line, so I'm late to the party for more than one reason today. It was a good day in that the trainer at the Zoom Room gave me a few practical tips to be a bit more effective with Ember to stop the jumping up and the nipping, but mostly reassuring me that I'm not ruining her. She's a smart puppy, and you should have seen how well she responded to that trainer!
ReplyDeleteOh no--- yer internet line cut??--Nice yu had a trainer for Ember--YU are such a good Mom--Lynda
DeleteHope you got all your clean outs done before himself came home..lol I used to do the same thing..
ReplyDeleteGet rid of it and it was never missed.
Stay strong Lynda.
