Climb every Mountain---

One foot in front of the other--keep doing that--- and when you look back , to see  how far you have come--- you have almost made it--which always amazes me----I always say to myself, "Thank -you God"--I climbed that mountain--again-Thank you -thank you- thank you--"-----  " I MADE IT!"--- The secret seems to me, to NOT give up----keep climbing that mountain---one step at a time.--

Another sunny day here--- lots of mosquitoes ---- sunny however----  Lopez and I walked the back road--- No business  from him----  (We will go again!)-

Himself , was in a rare mood this AM--(I think the furnace  and AC not working, kinda gets to him)--  but--- the good thing is, he is at his Day Program--and-- I have had time to sort out  how on earth I am, going to pay for the new fan for the furnace--A thousand dollars plus tax---It has to be fixed, and  I guess this is the time to dip into the extra cash I had invested many moons ago--Praise the good Lord that I did that!---So, I figured it out---no crying----  just do it--- One step after the other and climb that mountain---and---  feel TOTALLY AWESOME that you  invested something for  the future!

I must tell you also, that Peter Rabbit was in the dog pen this AM., eating clover--such a cute little bunny--AND---- looking out over the lake this AM., when I felt like I was in the "depths of Despair" over the furnace breakdown, there was our neighbour taking off over the lake--- so pretty--
I must get offa here before you all assume that I've lost my marbles---
I really am quite normal---at least from time to time---Remember--one foot at a time---- eventually---you are at the top--- NEVER GIVE UP!

  1. It's Kathy. Yes, it is so nice to be back home but so many things need my attention! The held mail never came and I can't get connected to the post office. I didn't get a receipt for our last night's stay - which was pretty close to horrible - and no one seems able to help me. And while we got laundry done and food put away, there are still things that need to be taken care of! BUT, we had such an incredible time with the kids and they are all growing up so fast! As you said, one foot in front of the other and eventually all will be done! I'm glad himself is at the Day Center and you have a little time to yourself. My husband is teaching a class every morning this week and it's nice to have the house to myself! Have a great day.

    1. Just take your time to unpack--- Mom used to say, "Rome wasn't built in a day"--I ended up making home made soup this AM as Fred was at the Day Program--Hot here to-day too--Lynda

  2. Lynda, you are getting things done! I applaud you...your energy, your stick-to-to-iveness, your attitude!
Saved that last meme. I do think that applies to a lot of us...me for sure! You know how I go on about my Law of Attraction teachings. Some think I'm nuts, but you see how it works...you get what you focus on. You focused on solutions, not problems. Solutions are what you got!
Glad Himself is at his program. He will feel better when he returns.
When will the new furnace fan be installed? Quickly, I trust.
I'm preparing for inspections again. We had no office manager to keep up with things for several months. When the inspection was done in January, we did not do well. That's why a 2nd batch: City License Renewal Inspection is tomorrow, Independent one (the staff here checking to see if we're ready for the next) July 17, HUD (Government agency) inspection July 18 and City of Faribault inspection July 25. Wish they'd leave us alone, but they want to be sure the building is safe for us.
Hope your day proceeds the way you want it (tell Himself, Lopez, the bank and the furnace guy!). {{{HUGS)}}} Love, Maggie

    1. Because we live in the middle of nowhere, Rusty, the furnace man, said the new fan will arrive in 2-3days--- then he has to install it---I feel so good that I can pay for the thing--was worried about that--Life can be tough eh Maggie--I feel sorry for yu and all those inspections--One day yu must just visit me here--No inspections here--LOL--Big hugs, Lynda

  3. Lynda, "One step in front of the other" has been my mantra since my husband died 5 years ago. You are so right about looking back and seeing how much we have accomplished! I have done things I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be doing. I am proud when I figure something out - like you figuring out how to take care of business getting the furnace repaired and paid for! You are strong and smart! I went to our lake house this week-end with my son who is working on replacing the deck for me....having a vacation home is wonderful except when you have to do work there too! hahaha! I cut grass with the weed-whacker on the hillside that goes straight down to the lake. Took me over 2 hours, but I got it done! Sore back, sore legs from standing sideways on the hillside, but proud to have been able to help out so my son didn't have more to do after he worked on the deck for several hours! Then he and I cleaned all the windows in the sunroom! Whew! I was worn out. Oh - and I found a tick on my leg when I got done cutting all the grass! It bit me twice, but I was able to pull it out and it was still alive so I put it in a ziplock baggie.....just in case! Now I am home and after my yoga class I worked on the pool and filled my hummingbird feeders! Need to vacuum and do laundry - ugh! Does the work ever end???

    1. No Sandra--that work never ends--LOL--Your day sounds just like mine--weed whacking--replacing broken appliances--standing on a silly hill cutting it---It's amazing that we can do all this-- I went to bed tho last night with a very sore wrist--It is OK this AM--think it was holding that weed whacker--I hope you got some rest today--LOL---I was filling Hummingbird feeders also this AM--- One step eh??--Bless yu Sandra-Lynda

  4. One foot in front of the other, indeed! I am hoping that this week is kind of a return to whatever normal is these days. I will be working out with my personal trainer for the first time since... May 30th. I skipped almost a whole month, due to everything that was topsy turvy here. I'm hoping little Ember (who is not so little these days) will be OK with this reprise of a routine she used to expect!

It's beastly hot down here in the "lower 48", or at least in my part of it. We just hit the triple digits F for the first time, today. Ember in her dark coat can't take a lot of this! So I put ice cubes in her water dish, and scatter them on the deck, we take shorter walks, and come in for naps on the cool tile.

Here's wishing you a smooth sailing week, and that your AC gets fixed pronto!

  5. Sunny right now, but MORE storms expected tonight. Means more mosquitoes here, too.

HUGS and good for you going through the finances and making it work to pay for that fan. You definitely need it! *SIGH*

Yeah, just know that normalcy is way overrated!

  6. Hi Lynda; Glad himself got to his day program today. Hopefully will make him feel better. Trust the furnace/air conditioner is now fixed and running. Everything is so expensive. Good thing you had saved enough to pay for it. Problems always keep showing up these days. Hope Lopez does his business. Have a good night. Brenda

  7. Good evening, Lynda! Sunny in Ohio today. We cleaned up the storm debris and even a big limb on the roof. Then, got the pool cleaned up. I know what you mean about the furnace. I have a plumber coming Wednesday morning. One never knows so good thing we save, right? Lovely photo of your neighbor over the lake. I know Himself felt better after the Lodge. We are going to get ice cream. I know you love it like I do so I am taking you with us! LOL Hugs!

  8. Hi Lynda, hope your day went well. Hoping Fred came home in an upbeat mood after lodge.
It really is one foot in front of the other. We have to keep going, keep moving. Challenges every day but we are strong and will persevere.
Yes, figuring out "where" funds will come from for big expenses not "fun". You're blessed to have what you need so you can do what you have to do. I hope fan is fixed and AC is back in service.
It's so hot here. Close to 100 degrees F. Temp combined with the humidity makes outside very uncomfortable. The bugs and mosquitoes on your walks sounds atrocious.
I was up early so me and Sadie got bathrooms and floors done early.
Cool picture of neighbors plane on lake.
    Great inserts, as usual.
    Hugs and blessings
    Stay cool
