I thought growing old would take longer.

so-----think positive---YOU CAN DO WHATEVER----  even if you need help---and after you ask for help--then you can do it!--Right???

--Well, we are having fun----  Son#2 and his lovely wife, AND GERRARD, their dog,  are here-, and our daughter and her 2 children are here--plus TYSON, her dog--We were sitting around the dining table last evening, after supper--"chewing the fat" (as Dad used to say)---  myself, our daughter and the Pilot's wife--ERIN, and we were each holding our dogs---

It looks like  Ladies who have matured beyond the chid bearing years,  get a dog to fill in their nurturing needs---doncha think?-

-All our good times here, remind me of trips to Grampa's house and how much we absolutely loved being there and how Mom and Dad were always sitting around-- "chewing the fat" --as Dad used to say--

Grampa on the RT--My Dad  on the Left---  and my uncle in the middle--many moons ago--You know, I never thought I would EVER be doing the same , some 60 yrs later--"Life " really just goes round and round, doesn't it?-- Growing "OLD" ------I thought it would take a great deal longer-

I hope you are enjoying everyday of life---- well, as much as you can--Time passes so quickly doesn't it?-- Always remember how special "YOU" are-----how strong you can be --and that you are loved more than you know--

  1. It's Kathy. I also thought growing old would take longer. Love the photo of you 3 women with your dogs. Daisy is actually too heavy to hold but when we are traveling if the car goes over rumble strips she gets scared and climbs into my lap! I hope you have a wonderful day with your family! We're going to drive over to Lauriellen's to bring some clothes for the boys that my daughter in Roanoke sent for her. But first I really have to clean this house!

  4. Great photo of you ladies and your dogs, sis!
Yes, I know how special I am, but I really believe we are all special. Many of us don't know it so thanks for the reminders you always give to your followers.
A new month tomorrow, and soon summer will be half over (maybe it is now; I haven't figured it out). Time passes too fast. I agree that we though it old age wouldn't come so fast. It's mostly a state of mind, though. We can do much of what we did when we were younger. So what if now we have to ask for help sometimes? Look how many people, pets, utility companies, stores, charities, etc. we have helped!
Sadie is coming to help me a bit today. You will probably need her after your family has gone back to their homes.
Enjoy the beloved people, and even the mess. Have a great day...all of you! I plan on that, too. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. I totally agree . . . that nurturing need still continues and what better way to continue nurturing than to have a fur baby! Love the photo of you lovely ladies and your fur babies!

Oh my, have to agree . . . thought it would take a lot longer to get old-er. But hey, we’re on this side of the earth, so that’s a good thing, right.
