To-day's mood--Confused with a touch of WHAT THE HELL

Good Morning--I am peeking thru the computer here at you all--Son #2 and wife. are taking Himself to his Day Program--So, time for Lopez and I , and Sushi to get busy and blog--

Did yu watch the debate-?---sad , sad --so sad---Poor Biden---- so intelligent, knowledgeable also, but just could not get it across to his viewers-He needed a guardian angel for sure---and there was the other candidate, so mean and cruel and saying untrue things----  The whole thing broke my heart-! Anyway, it happened , but it should've never  been allowed----That's my personal opinion however--

So, we are surviving  quite well here, with  so many adults wanting to help out--and daughter  with her 2 teenagers on their way----Son#2's wife is a  very good cook---made such a good dinner last night---"Rosotto Rice"- (I think she called it that)----I had never had that before--

Our furnace is fixed, to the tune of $1800.00---Son #2, was telling me this AM., that he wondered if the moisture on the board which was inside the furnace, might've been caused from that "Heat Dome ", which lasted for over a week--and as for the fan in the furnace (broken also)--maybe  having the AC running day and night was too much for it---  Who knows eh?--But it's fixed now and that's what counts.

It is Canada Day, July 1st--so this weekend , will be a long Holiday weekend---with fireworks everywhere.-- Are you going to be totally awesome , to-day?---happy?---stronger than you believe you are?--no tears (which never help a situation)--kind to people you meet?---maybe with a touch of WHAT THE HELL?---                    -

--I shall pray that you have the best day ever!

  1. Good Morning!! Nice your AC/Furnace is fixed. I had mine done awhile ago and was amazed at the price of a new set!! I taped the debate, but stopped after 15 minutes, because I found it unbecoming of the office. Maybe get back to it later. I watched Apollo 13 instead, because I did a book review presentation of the Boys by Ron Howard and his brother Clint yesterday. Ron directed the film.

    1. Yes--fixing the Propane furnace was very expensive--Good for yu to tape that debate--but--it made me very sad--I agree --unbecoming of the office --Why was Trump even allowed to talk like that??---very very degrading------ and Biden made me feel so sorry for him-- Lynda

  2. Agree that it was sad to watch the debate last night. Sadly, not much of a choice to lead our country at this point. Hopefully they can find someone to run that is becoming of the position as I’m afraid Joe is just no longer up to it and as for the other one, all I can say is ugh!

  4. It's Kathy. Yes, I think I shall be totally awesome today! I'm glad you got your A/C fixed, I'm sure you will need it! Yesterday it was cool enough to just have the windows open, at least until late afternoon. Turned the A/C on while I was making dinner. Yes, I watched the debate and I am very worried for our country. Neither of these candidates are qualified to be the President of the United States. Biden couldn't keep his thoughts going and Trump made stuff up! But what can we do. I feel as though I have absolutely no control of my life these days! My daughter has made us Risotto before and it was very good, but I've never tried. I cook the way my mom cooked - that's what I know. Enjoy your family! I already miss mine!

  5. Holiday weekends with family are the bomb! (I think that's how the younger generation would phrase it). You will be surrounded with love...and the others will, too!
Glad the furnace is fixed along with the AC. The furnace guy did say to leave it on. I wouldn't turn it off unless it's gonna be cooler for more than a day. That's my personal opinion (and we all have our own).
Our holiday. of course, is July 4th...Independence Day. We are having a meal in our Community Room with everyone bringing something to share. Unless they can't...they can still come and eat. It's not a holiday my daughter is likely to invite me to their home.
There is karaoke tomorrow, and the weather is due to be nice. A bit cool for much of the day here today, with more thunder showers later.
How many people will you be hosting? How man dogs? Himself will probably be exhausted...but happy. Maybe the famdamily (something an old friend would say) will still let him get an afternoon nap.
Whatever, dear sis, please enjoy 'to the max!' {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. I had to get a new furnace this year and was also told not to turn off the AC and open the windows because it just increases the humidity which makes the AC work harder when it is turned back on. Sure do miss the fresh air tho. Dot

  8. "Fixed now, and that's what counts" applies in so many situations. Sometimes it just plain doesn't matter the cause (unless of course it's a cause that one can prevent from happening again)!

Glad you have extra hands and hearts to help out this week. Happy Canada Day week to you. So far, down in my neighborhood, I haven't seen / heard a lot of the "normal for the week leading up to July 4th" fireworks, and honestly, I'm glad. Ember and I have enough to deal with just communicating with one another, without adding extra stress!

I did see the usual July 4th visitors arriving for the folks across the street, and usually come the 3rd and 4th, we get a lot of action from them. Based on her reaction (or lack thereof) to thunder, for the most part, I'm hopeful that Ember and I will sail through this particular holiday.

    1. All of our dogs were terrified fireworks--thunder storms also-- I bought thunder shirts for some---also--would lie on the bathroom floor with some, as the fan in the bathroom would deaden the noise--Good luck with Ember--Lynda

  9. Marti here. Glad the AC is fixed, I would die if my A/C went out as hot as it's been. It DID go out last summer. It was $5000 to fix it. I still have the original furnace and hot water heater (condo is about 30 yrs old). Don't know how much longer they will last, but so far, so good.

The debate was horrible! I'm not a fan of either one of them. Poor Joe just came off as if he had dementia, but it was the cold and his horrible stuttering that made him look like a fool, and Trump, well...the less I say about him, the better. I am not voting for either ONE of them!

  10. So happy your son and daughter in law and grand dog are visiting you! Some fun and laughs. And your daughter coming soon. Yes, everything that Rump says is degrading and nasty, full of hate, His handlers are Nazi folks, some from Germany. I was born in Berlin, no USA human wants this kind of thing happening!

  11. Hi Lynda: Glad son #2 and his wife took himself to daycare. Probably helped to put him in a good mood for the day. The furnace probably cost so much as I think if it's the mother board it's the brains of the furnace. Or so I've heard. It's all Greek to me! Didn't watch the debate. Couldn't bring myself to do it as I can't stand Trump. Good thing we're not American! Have a good night.

  12. Hi Lynda, glad furnace is fixed. The cost is the cost as it had to be fixed.
Nice that son and DIL took Fred to Lodge. A bit of free time at home.
I read your comment about Fred saying marrying you is the best thing he's ever done. How sweet is he? Soak that one up and keep it close to your heart (especially when you want to strangle him lol).
Glad DIL likes to cook. It's always nice to have a break. I'm so glad daughter will be there soon. You'll have all the kids together plus some grands and extra dogs. You'll love it. Enjoy Canada Day. The debate..well it was pretty much what I expected. I'm sad that these 2 are the best we can find. I'm worried about America.
Giggled at the "What the hell" lol. Sometimes thats the phrase that works the best.
Stay happy and full of love. Great to have lots of family around you and Fredm

  13. Hi Lynda! What the hell is right! You always make me laugh. I did not watch the debate except I listened in for only a moment to hear Biden tell Trump that he had morals of an alley cat! That was hysterical! My day was good but hectic. Dealing with medical issues for my Mother long distance. Stressful. Have a wonderful time with your family. Sending Ohio hugs with your daughter!:)
