Never, Never, NEVER, GIVE UP.

Lopez and I walked, with cloud of mosquitoes following us up the back road---Lord love a Duck! It must've rained in the night as everything was wet--thus the mosquitoes I guess. Anyway, Lopez did nothing--which means another walk later--I hear robins singing outside. They sound so so nice! ---They must be nesting--- I have hummingbird feeders to fill as soon as I can get to them--

And, it is Thursday, which means "Hair Day"-
I have to  grocery shop this afternoon also---  at the "other" grocery---  the grocery which has a larger variety of goods--I'll try to do the groceries AND the hair this afternoon--

You know the shoes that you just slip your foot into?---  Sketchers???-- I have resisted  until now----  I tried on a pair--AND THEY ARE FABULOUS----no more trying to tie laces, with numb finger tips--BOOM!--In goes your foot and away you go---No bending down---simply amazing! I absolutely love them! Whoever invented them, needs a medal!-----(just telling you all,. that they are worth  it)---
It is weird, you know--being the same age as "older folks"--but----I am now---  hard to believe isn't it?
But--life just rolls on and on ----Twenty four  brand new hours are before us--

Staying strong is  what keeps us going---no time for tears---no time for feelings of sorrow---

  1. Oh hope that you have a good visit w/your stylist! Nice to get away.

I LOVE Sketchers slip ins. Awesome and comfortable. Glad you like them.

I know, I know . . . not possible to be the same age as ‘older people’, is it!

For sure, I have NEVER been one to ever give up! Thank goodness.

    Here’s to a thankful Thursday.

  2. Hair day is always a good day! Hope the skeeters and flies keep their distance from you and Lopez.

Life here in Emberville is going along. Last day of the tub/shower conversion work today. Got the final piece of sod delivered this morning, too. Now it's water-water-water for 3 weeks before Ember can go play on her new back yard.

Being strong, yep, that's the ticket! I have yet to try those Sketchers slip-ins... but knowing they work for you helps nudge me along that way!

    A good Thursday to all!

  3. I tend to get discouraged and want to give up so I love 💕 your words!

I’ve never tried Sketchers Slip on but I use to wear Sketchers all the time. But my podiatrist told me that I have arthritis and need to wear a more stable shoe when out walking.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

  4. It's Kathy. My Daisy was not very cooperative this morning either. I got up and limped outside but she just stood on the step and looked at me. She was definitely thinking "Mom is nuts if she thinks I'm going out on that wet grass today!" We had storms last night, serious downpours, lots of thunder and somewhere nearby something must have been hit by lightening because the fire trucks took off shortly after the storm. In parts of our state trees were down and houses were damaged. We were lucky! Today is a quick shopping trip. Thanks for the tip on Sketchers, I've seen them advertised but wasn't sure anything could be so easy. I may have to get myself a pair before my surgery! Enjoy hair day!

  5. Lynda, sorry to hear about all those mosquitoes. People around here have seen some, but non have come after me.
You know Lopez will tell you when he is ready to go. Hopefully that will be before you hair. Maybe you can take him with you to protect him.
Otherwise he may bother Himself when he needs to go out.
You will enjoy your hair appointment and shopping. It's the lugging the shopping in and putting it all away!
We had rain this morning. Now it is just overcast, but a bit brighter. Not hot yet...just warm.
Sadie will be helping me a bit.
Note the book title I gave you on Messenger. You will LOVE it, I promise. Bet you won't fall asleep reading it as it was not boring enough to make me sleepy.
With my insurance plan I get $100 every 3 months to spend on health products. Just ordered some vitamins and a new pillow, too.
Yes, I was brave to leave my marriage and move to something better, but it was something I felt led to do. I am having fun now and in charge of my own life.
Your are, too, though sometimes it may not seem to.
As your day progresses...hope it's the way you want it to.
    {{{HUGS}}}, Love, your sis Maggie

  6. Hi Lynda. Hair day yay yay. Now you can't work outside as you'll mess up your fresh doo. Wishful thinking.
Grocery run ugg. I have to pick up a few things including bananas. You know all about that.
    Mosquitoes sound dreadful.
Lynda it is so HOT here. Already mid 90s with high humidity. Each day is getting hotter. 100 by Sunday.
I giggled about the old people insert. Some folks,MY AGE, look old LOL.
Nope, can not give up. Nope, never. Only have to deal with this day and fresh issues and stay positive. You are so good at that, so inspiring.
I love Skeechers...very comfy with lots of memory foam. Glad you like yours. They don't work for exercise class as they allow too much movement and not the same stability as lace up athletic shoes.
Have a wonderful day, stay positive and strong.
    Hugs and blessings

  7. Hi Lynda! I know you feel better on hair day and groceries done. Hot in Ohio today but I waited til the sun when down on the side of the house to garden. My husband loves the slip on Skechers. Wore them for years but he wears them out so fast. Have a relaxing evening!

  8. Hi Lynda: Skechers slipons are the best. I've been wearing them for over a year now. I love them. And I agree with the old folks saying. I do that and say the old folks across the street and then realize I'm one of them! Have a good night. Brenda

  9. I have been thinking about the Skechers as I need hubby to tie my shoes as my hands just don't have the pull they use to. I am going to check them out very soon. Thanks for the tip.
