Use the love to stay strong.

Well, ya never know eh?---Today really could be the most WONDERFUL  Day--of your life--and---- Tomorrow just might be even better. Positive thoughts here!---Get on yer best "Bib and Tucker"
(Dad's expression) and get out and face this world!--

---Here we  have rain with millions of bugs--mosquitoes----  In fact,  I even swallowed a mosquito and I could not cough it up---seems every time I walk Lopez , a mosquito goes down my throat---
I believe this is our third of rain---

We are waiting for the furnace man --Rusty--to appear---to see what on earth is going on in the furnace--The AC is shut off---as Rusty thinks the shut down  of the AC might be caused by the fan in the furnace not working-- Whatever it is, it means more money----to get  either the AC or the furnace going--probably mega money--"Mucho dollaros"----  Lord love a Duck! -- We certainly will never be rich--and  I may be the cause of all this-----We just updated the whole water system----and now this---

I have mentioned before , that I should've taken "Shop" in high school, instead of Latin, or Sewing, or Art---How on earth can a woman run a house , all on her own, without courses such as "Water and Wells"---Electricity---  Car Repair---Heating the Home---Home Appliances--Building the Best Home----Jeepers-----High school would've been so interesting!--Banking  might 've been helpful also--

Little Lopez is on a chair behind me here, learning what "STAY" and "SIT" mean----He certainly is a one person dog--tags along where ever I go-happy if he can see me, and if I go somewhere , like out in the garage, he searches forever trying to hunt me down, and sometimes gets stuck  in a closet and I have to follow the screeching--
Walking  does improve ones happiness---Try not to swallow a bug however---
                                                                    Dream a little to-day----
Make to-day the best day ever---  Think Positive thoughts---

  1. LOL! My paternal grandma (German and Bohemian) used to say that . . . put on your Best bib and tucker.

Oh no! That’s less that pleasant to swallow a mosquito! Sheesh.

Boy oh boy . . . for sure furnaces/air conditioners are NOT cheap to replace. Good luck.

For sure, could have maybe done w/o sewing/home ec, but then again, I did learn a lot from those. Probably would have been really good to take finance, and things like auto repair. BUT I was fortunate that I had 2 brothers and a Dad (all engineers!) who taught me well. Some things I would NEVER do myself (anything electrical), though. I’ll leave that to the professionals.

LOVE the memes. Yes, use the love to stay strong!

    Hugs and peace this Sunday!

  2. Rain again, sis? Ours is gone, and it's a beautiful mostly sunny day.
Hope your furnace man gets things going properly again for pequeno (can't do the tilde over the 'n') dollaros.
In junior high we had to do 1 semester of sewing and one of cooking. The boys did shop. I think boys and girls should learn all of those. I hear some schools, in high school, teach a course that is called something like "Life Skills." It includes banking stuff, check writing, and I don't know what else.
We have a grandson of a resident celebrating his birthday and graduation today. They were going to do it in a park which is now flooded and closed. Instead, the party will be here in our Community Room. She posted the invite on FB so I got a card to put $10 in. I won't stay long...too much to do. Inspections coming up again: building inspection by the City of Faribault for the license, HUD (US Dept of Housing and Urban Development)...and another one. I forget. They are keeping us on our toes.
No karaoke last night. We were too tired after our getting lost in the construction.
On to chores or something. Will check here later, dear. Love your memes, as always. Our goal is to be happy, and think of the stuff that makes us feel that emotion. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda: Wow you sure are getting a lot of rain lately. We had a tiny bit earlier. And it's been windy but fortunately not much rain. I think we may be getting some tonight. Walking is good for you in many ways but swallowing mosquitoes is not! Good luck with the furnace/air conditioner. At least you have someone you know who has worked for you before. Good luck. Have a good evening. Hugs Brenda

  4. It's Kathy. We are finally home after 2 long days of driving. I didn't check in yesterday even though we got to the hotel fairly early. The person at the front desk was so rude! I was so mad when I finally got into the room and my husband wanted a refund and to drive all the way home - that would have gotten us home about 3 am! I'm glad we didn't do that. Daisy is also a one-person dog. When we stop at a rest stop, Tom takes her first then they wait for me to come out. She runs like crazy to get to me. A young man was watching and said "Man, she really likes you!" Sorry about the modquito's, that sounds awful. Yes, I wish I knew more about things, never needed to. First I had my dad and then I had a husband. My daughter has to get a new A/C - she's been having lots of issues! I hope they can fix yours easily. Have a good day!

  5. Hi Lynda...yes, best bib and tucker outfit to go to town.
    Still crazy hot in St.Louis
Grass is burning up like August heat.
Egad swallowing mosquitoes and bugs. Uuggggg
Hoping furnace/AC. situation is an easy, cheap fix. The classes you mentioned sure would have come in handy, but like you, I have to pay for services. My dad was very handy and could fix anything...unfortunately. I don't know how.
    Hoping it's a cheap fix
    Fingers crossed.
Today's inserts were all super fantastic
Loved them. Please get some rest and take it easy on chillin out Sunday.
    Hugs and blessings

  6. Hi Lynda! Hope your furnace is fixed! It rained and stormed early this morning here in Ohio and ten degrees cooler. So nice! I am watered out with my plants and shrubs so It helped so much. Our pool cover has not come in so debris is in the pool but we will take care of it after the wind settles down. Hope your day turned out well. Hugs!
