Another day-another dollar-

So, the above really is true---I believe that anyway--do not mean to upset anyone about William Golding's statement--but---it is just a fact of life!

-So----  How are you?---  Did you sleep well last night?---Did you get your 40 winks ?  (as Dad used to ask me)---I read my book, until the wee hours of the morning--on my new Kindle, which "I" set up---all by myself---  unbelievable isn't it?--

Life is good , so far this morning--altho it IS early- and the day could fall apart, but all is well up to now. Himself goes to his Day Program and some day I  must pick up bananas, plus plus plus----I keep putting it off---and I spend way too much time,  outside  blowing  leaves---

Outside this morning, is fog---'specially rising from the lake.--Leaves are falling----and it feels like fall--coolish----Lopez and I have "hoofed" it up the road already--He says "Good morning" to you all------

--I hear Himself getting ready to get out of here--so--I shall return--- in a bit-Don't go away--
AND--
-here I am--back!--
I stopped at out pharmacy after dropping Himself----  The pharmacist said she was away last Friday.as her dog had to be "put down"--(I do hate that expression)----in the night---  and no vet was available in town, so had to drive to Manitoulin Island, as it was a 4 yr old Shepherd and deep chested, and it's stomach had turned-- It reminded me of big Beau, with me driving all over, Beau on the back seat of our vehicle , half dead, and no vet available to "put him down"--Our vet is the Mayor and he was in City Hall--Of course I was crying---- I shall never forget that---
But we are alive to-day-and we can make the very best of it--a nap does help one get thru the day--  AND--it is hair day--- My Hair Lady has been on a wee holiday , so, to-day "THE HAIR GETS DONE" and I shall look like a new woman----I hope! ----  Remember to be------
I hope that your day goes well--

  1. Hi Lynda! Another cloudy day in Ohio. Ahh! Sweet little Lopez. Tommy and Kloi will go to daycare Monday while the plumber comes to install a new hot water heater. I hope you get your bananas and stuff. We have lots of leaves. I am told I have the best lot in the neighborhood but hard to believe with all the leaves. LOL No, not good sleep. Woke up 2:30-5 thinking too much. I rarely do that. Hope your day stays cheery. Hugs!

  2. It's Kathy. Thank you so much Lynda for your comments yesterday. Some days I just really feel defeated - especially now when I am struggling to just walk without pain! But the good news on that front is that today I AM walking almost like a normal person - only for a few minutes at a time but normal feels good! I now think back when my own parents were aging. While my dad was alive I really didn't even think to ask if they needed any help. After my dad passed away I did spend one day a week with my mom helping her go through things. But I really should have helped her clean her house and do other things like that! Because now it would be really nice if someone would come and clean my house. Tom does it but he doesn't see all the dust and dog hair! I haven't been able to brush Daisy as well as I need to because I can't yet get down on the floor. We had her to the Eye Veterinarian and she needs to have a growth taken off her eye lid. So my sweet girl has surgery scheduled for next Wednesday. It's not an invasive procedure and she will be home by noon! But that's $1000 I wasn't expecting to have to spend. You know how important our pets are! I'm so sorry for the pharmacist! Oh, and I totally agree. Women are superior to men - not better necessarily but we are stronger and can handle so much more. And you, my friend, are a perfect example of that. I'm glad your children are seeing your strength! Have a wonderful Friday!

  3. Oh, I have to agree w/William Golding’s statement. We are the check and balance in men’s lives.

So sorry to hear that your pharmacist’s pup crossed the rainbow bnridge. It’s hard, no matter what the circumstances.

Hope the rest of the day is good for you and Himself.

    Hugs and blessings

  4. I got a kick out of the quote by William Golding! Fun thing that a man actually admitted that! Rainy, windy day here! We are feeling the effects of Hurricane Helene all the way here in southwestern Illinois! I am happy to stay home as I have bananas! Had one on my cereal for lunch a short while ago! This will be a good day for me to do some decluttering....hope I am so motivated hahaha! That means I have to get off this computer that consumes too much of my time lately! And about your blog yesterday - Photo memories are great, but for some reason the memories make me cry....guess it is because most of them are about my loved ones who are no longer with us....I am the only one left - my grandparents, my parents, my brother, my sister and my husband are all hopefully in heaven. Of course I do still have my children and grandchildren which are blessings to me....and a few cousins, but all my many aunts and uncles are no longer here either. Guess that is what happens when you are old! Except I don't feel that old (77) most days!

  5. Hi Lynda, hair day yay. You'll come home glamours and deserving of a nap.
    Always bananas or something needed.
Sorry about pharmacist pet. It's sad to loose our fur kids.
Hoping himself is ready for a nap when he returns.
    Take care

  6. Hi, Lynda. You are a busy girl! Bet you'd rather be blowing bubbles with a pet or child than blowing leaves.
I saved the first and last memes!
I feel for your hairdresser. We've all been there. When you lose a pet, it's like losing part of your heart and soul. You know...
Weather here is perfect...cool in the morning at night but it warms up nicely by afternoon. There's a mix of sun and clouds.
Had to postpone Lucky's appointment 'til week after next. My social security check will have posted by then.
It's been a happy day of abundance for me. Grocery order was delivered by Walmart, I did some sale shopping at my favorite store, a friend just brought me a whole bunch of butter lettuce and I got my fish sandwiches always on sale on Fridays at my local gas station.
I know your hair will be wonderful. And you can commiserate with your hairdresser friend about her dog.
I'm out of here, sis. Will check back later. Now it's time to exercise and meditate. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  8. Oh, my Kindle is one of my favorite things!!!! I was able to declutter 98percent of my books. And I can make the print larger as needed. And, I subscribed to Kindle Unlimited a year or so ago to try it out ... saves me so much money, which is great in retirement. Happy reading!
