I am in the "WHATCHAMACALLIT, Phase of life!

Good morning--another hot day beginning--sunny---with wet grass--  heavy dew---  like "fall"----Think of how fortunate we are , to be a part of this day---One day we will not be on this earth-- funny--that thought just went thru my head---  My kids always used to tell me when they were little, that they were never going to die-
-The electrician is here now,  working  on trying to fit the new stove top into the hole where the older one was---You figure that this new stovetop just might be the final  thing that breaks down in this house?-- Oh I hope so!
My younger sister, Sandra was a gift to our family---She was adopted   when I was in Public School---and I remember her parents coming out to meet my Mom and Dad--and I was SO SO excited-- I had an older sister , who has since passed-
-I absolutely love my younger sister who is now grown up with her family also grown up-
-This sister arrived at our home after my Mom had had 4 children, me being one of them--I remember reading all the "Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz" books to her--I also remember Mom bundling her all up, putting her in the buggy, with lots of blankets around her, and my older sister and I, pushing her carriage down a hill--WITH   HER IN IT---Why on earth did Mom ever allow that?
-and now she is grown up---and --I am so fortunate to have her  in my life!

I hear the electrician  trying to fit this stove top into the counter where the old one was---Lets hope this will be  the final new appliance---
This afternoon is hair day--Lopez will come with me--It is going to be a hot day---  And you know, hummingbirds are still around---some anyway-
Hopefully I can  pack some summer clothing away-make more room in my closet--for new--
 (NO No NO!-)---
So--Get off of here--get on with yer day--Enjoy this day----and most of all, remember to be STRONG--- No CRYING!

  1. It's Kathy. Yes, I hope this stove top is the last thing you need to fix in your home. Each day is filled with it's own issues! Yesterday was a really good day for me, today not so well. Didn't sleep well and don't feel like doing much. I guess I just take each day as it comes. It's going to be warm here too but we haven't had to put on the A/C. That's a blessing. Have a god day!!!

  2. Good day, my amazing sister. Great blog.
As always, you are having a busy day.
Hope the installer can fit in your new cooktop.
Happy you are taking Lopez with you. Bet you'll get an errand or two done, too. McDonald's to take home to Himself?
I will need Sadie for a short time today, then she's yours if you need her.
Lovely weather here, too. You can tell it's the beginning of fall. It's cool in the morning, heats up as the day progresses and leaves are falling and/or changing color. I actually had to run the A/C for a short time yesterday.
Stuff to do now...Sadie stuff, Lucky (my precious, pesty, purrfect kitty), lunch and (maybe) a snooze.
    I'll check later, dear.
The other day when I thought you did no comments, I checked back and realized you did. Bet you will tonight, too.
Hope you get done what you want to and get some rest, too. {{{HUGS}} Love, Maggie

  4. Know how I know that I am getting old(er)? If I spend a day getting lots done - like yesterday weed whacking for 2 hours and then using a sprayer tank to kill weeds, then the next day (today), I am pooped! Can hardly make myself get up to do anything except shower! So this is how I roll - work hard one day, rest the next! hahaha! Ah, the fine art of getting older! Hope the stove top installation goes well and that you have a good trip with Lopez to the hairdresser! And I still have lots of hummingbirds! Had to fill their feeders again yesterday! And guess what? This morning my doorbell rang while I was doing yoga and I jumped up off the floor and ran to the front door and there was nobody there! Checked my Ring camera and it showed a bird actually came up and rang the doorbell! I have it on video! Guess the bird thought the button looked like something to eat????

  5. Hi Lynda
    Great blog today.
I saw 1 bigger hummingbird yesterday. It's been a while but there is at least one around here. We go from 50sF to 90sF yesterday. Birds don't know where or when to go.
    Enjoy hair day....finally.
Hoping stove top will fit perfectly when electrician finishes his work. Hope it's not too much longer before new top arrives
Have a quiet, peaceful afternoon after getting all pampered.
    Hugs and blessings

  6. Ain't it the truth? The Whatchamacallit phase is perfect. Today at lunch I could not remember the name of the sandwich I ordered, it was some C-word Chicken sandwich, and it was delicious, but you know, distraction of good company and conversation, and words, names, all kinds of things escape the language processor in the head!

My sister Alicia363 and I had lunch with OverworkedJanet, from Spark days... a regular Spark meet! There were other relatives in her traveling group, and we're so thankful she made time to have a meal with us while they are doing their "thing" traveling all over and seeing all sorts of things!
