We are marching into Fall-

The above is so true-- "have faith in what will be"--It is cooler--sunny---lovely out--and ever so pretty--
The world is so colourful in September---  One has to love it--and be happy to be alive-I just took Himself to his Day Program--It was a holiday yesterday so he couldn't go-

Just look at the picture below--the cottages along the shore of the lake and the reflection in the water-

Was your weekend absolutely the best ever?----I did get to play the piano  quite a bit and Lopez   falls asleep where ever he is, when he hears the music--which always amazes me--- Animals love music--
Son#3 brought Rhubarb over yesterday -- I washed it--then this AM., chopped it and I will store it in the freezer till the new cooktop arrives--then stew it---

I hope that you sailed through the weekend, and were, as happy as a clam at high tide--that you had time to relax-that  nothing  stopped working in your home--that your dollars were sufficient to eat great meals--that your vehicle kept on running--and your "other half" was no trouble-

-Lord Love A Duck--not much else could go wrong eh?--"Tires and Testicles"---are  ---  well, seem to be a bit of a problem at times!

  1. Sis, 2 memes to save today. My Lucky's testicles were removed. It's just the tires for me.
My son cannot help me. Paid lots for his daughter's heart surgery internship and their house is being remodeled. He's down to just over $600 in his account.
    I'll figure out something.
Must leave in half an hour to take friends shopping. They pay me $20 for gas. It's only once a month. I will appreciate the $, though as I won't get more 'til Friday afternoon.
You're so right about animals loving music. Plants do, too. Lucky always expects our country music station to be on until afternoon.
Then when I meditate I put this on. I may have given it to you before. You will need to cut and paste in your browser. It puts Lucky right to sleep...on my lap on his favorite fuzzy blanket.

  2. It's Kathy. Sorry you have to wait so long for your cooktop. It's always something, right! I had a little bit better sleep last night, and tomorrow I have an appointment with a physical therapist. I told them after my surgery that I needed it! Why can't they just listen. And they are prescribing some kind of nerve pill that's suppose to help the pain as my nerve heals - I should get that tomorrow. So many pills! I thought I would be BETTER after this darn surgery but it's so much worse right now! One day at a time! I have a little picnic to go to tonight - I'm only bringing potato chips because cooking anything these days is just too hard! Daisy is laying in my doorway waiting for me to move back into the living room! She loves taking care of me! I hope your day goes well!!!

  3. Hi Lynda, what GORGEOUS pictures. Is that what you see now? Couldn't be any more beautiful.
I laughed so hard at tires and testicles. That is so true.
I loved the rhubarb custard pies my mom made from fresh rhubarb. Kind of nice you get a vacation from cooking but probably a creativity challenge.
Hoping the Lodge does its trick on himselfs mood.
How cute that the piano relaxes Lopez so much
Hope you can play your piano often.
Another beautiful weather day in St.Louis. I love having windows open.
I have stuff to do but just got home from distribution day at food pantry. I'm tired and would like a nap. My hip started complaining over the walking. Going to try some stretches to make it less painful.
Enjoy today. Stay positive, healthy and strong.
Love to you and your fur kids.

  4. Hi Lynda: The trees are beautiful. Since I'm in the city, I haven't seen any change. Love the change as they look so pretty except it means winter is getting closer. Nice here today. But the weekend is supposed to be crummy! Hope himself had a good time at his day program. Have a good night. Brenda

  5. Marti here. Your leaves are changing color already? Ours won't be until late October. A few leaves are falling, and the Locust trees are changing color and dropping, but that's it. It's been lovely temps here and low humidity. I'm loving that.

I had a good weekend. My (back on again) boyfriend came to stay for the weekend, and we had a chill few days. It was nice! But back to work again yesterday. I don't mind, except I'm always tired. And, you would have been proud of me, since I'm not much for cleaning things around here other than dusting and letting the robovac do the floors. I (we) sprayed down the outside windows - there's only 4, 3 small ones, and one large picture window in front of the condo. And, I did the insides, all but where the screens are (bottom panes). I've never taken screens out before, not sure how, but a few need restrung. I'll figure that out maybe this coming weekend! If I can afford it, I don't know the price Home Depot would charge.

  6. Love the reflections in the pictures... there's something so 3-dimensional about Autumn, I find.
