When Himself is struggling with every moment in a day, like yesterday, he doesn't remember it the next day--At least I don't think he remembers how he acted yesterday-- Poor guy---!!!--
So, a new day--new possibilities--That is really what counts . himself is wearing his Hearing Aids--That helps him immensely! Odd how he will wear them for the Ladies at the Hearing Clinic-- would not put them on for me for the past 6 months---The main thing however is that this morning, he is sorta himself again--
We have a very cold day outside, with a cold wind--leaves blowing everywhere, and snow showers predicted for to-night-Thursday morning , early , I can get the snow tires on the car--- one more thing , before winter--It is a good day here to have a great day-- no stress---The guy who I married is happy--- who can ever predict what will happen in one's life eh?-- Just look at this young Lad--"Himself"--- who would never intentionally ever hurt a flea-- Isn't life weird?---
What a handsome young man Fred was. Almost 94...where does the time Go?
ReplyDeleteWe'll be grateful for the good moments today and take life one day at a time.. Hang in and enjoy this day and its blessings..
Hugs
Hello Dear Margene-- Yes, Where did the time go?--=-seems like only yesterdays all the kids were young-- and he (Fred) was never home--always working-- Now he is always home and wishes he was working--LOL--can't swim!--Lynda
DeleteIn that photo of Fred, I see all your children. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat would happen if you left the leaves on the ground until next year? Aren't they supposed to be a blace for small flying insects to be safe & warm over winter? Just giving you a 'way out' Lynda. ;) But I did read that somewhere.
The days when Fred is Himself, are good days, so enjoy them. It's a shame what all can happen to us older folk, when we've been taught that our Golden Years are the best years of our lives - that is Rubbish! :)
Much love and lots of hugs coming to you, Fred, Sushi, Beau and Lopez xoxo
Well Gloria--Now I won't feel so bad if I don't get to all the leaves---- You are so good!-- yes, Fred is a ton of work --and heart ache-- poor guy tho-- He sure does not enjoy his days--tells me everyday he is going to dies soon--and--of course I don't think he swill --It will probably ME--LOL-- Hugs Gloria--I wish I lived closer to yu-Lynda
DeleteThat's an amazing photo of your DH! Yes, such is life. I wish everything was always right and nice. Have a beautiful Monday.

ReplyDeleteI just remember thinking about how mortified Mom would have een if she realized some of the horrible things she said and did . . . they were not her . . . it was the disease. Wretched disease!
ReplyDeleteSo, maybe it’s a blessing Himself doesn’t remember, but . . . that doesn’t make it any easier on you, for sure.
And glad that Himself is wearing his ears and is mor himself. I can only imagine it feels better to him, too.
Cold here, too. 2C. We had a dusting of snow overnight, which is gone now, thankfully, but it is very windy. The leaves still on the trees are not destined to stay there for long! And yes, our weather is supposed to warm up a little bit this weekend, so . . . it will be leaf patrol time. Not today, though!
Sounds like a delicious lunch. Still awaiting the arrival of our new fridge. Ours died on Friday. So, in the meantime, have been living out of coolers.
OH my, Himself is indeed handsome in that picture. Prayers and hugs and angels surrounding you to enjoy the good days.
HUGS and blessings

Your frig died too eh?-- hard to believe--It must be our age--LOL-- (Yu know we had to replace the frig in the kitchen--almost $3000)--- and it wasn't anything special--
DeleteWonderful photo of a younger Himself!
ReplyDeleteYour posters are right on track, too. We need to look ahead through the windshield, not back through the rear view mirror!
I treated myself to an apple fritter today when I went for bananas. We need to treat ourselves sometimes, too.
Cold here, also. I especially feel the 'wind chill.' Below freezing tonight. Time to fill the gas tank and add Heet. Sigh. At lease no snow yet.
{{{HUGS}}}
No--no snow here--YET!!-- I think they predict snow showers to-nite--We shall see-- Thank yu for writing-Lynda
DeleteGreat picture of Fred. Easy to see why you became a couple. Like the sayings. Lunch sounds good. Glad today is a better day. Guess it's always going to be up & down. Leave the leaves and relax for a bit.
ReplyDeleteand-I shall play the piano-- LOl--Lynda
Deleteand-we have to deal with everything---- we have to be strong-- LOL-- So happy yu swore-Lynda
ReplyDeletesilly typing--HAPPY YOU WROTE --- thats what IO meant to write!-- LOL-LYnda
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think "not remembering" is a blessing, don't you think? Anyway, glad the day got off to a good start! Happy new week!
ReplyDeleteFred's hair reminds me of the way George wore his hair when we got married over 53 years ago! Oh man - do I ever miss him! So glad that your day is much better today!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are having a better day today. I have been to the visitation of my SIL's father who passed away last Thursday. A sad time but I was able to talk with my daughter, SIL and 3 grandchildren who I haven't seen in over 2 years. That made my day!
ReplyDeleteLeave the leaves be, they even advertise on tv, not to rake away or burn leaves. Better for good insects to live over winter, good for the soil. When we lived in the Sierra mountains, we never raked away all the leaves. Gradually, they fertilized the whole area. By Spring, no leaves even around. Glad you had a better day.
ReplyDeleteGet with the lawnmowing grandson about the leaves???????? just a thought. Himself was a good looking fella..
