It was a weekend to remember!

Taken this morning-- the docks are in--and yu can see the fog (the heat)-leaving the lake--It was a peaceful cool morning on our walk--

on the way back up to the house, I snapped this picture of the lakeside of the house--Just look at the sky --Dad used to call this a "buttermilk sky"--
I also got  these strange looking people out by the road , ready for Halloween--Beau came out with me--

He is such a good boy! ---AND---  There is more-Grandson was here to cut the grass--  Lord love a duck! -He cuts in a pattern, if yu look closely---
AND--THERE IS MORE--Son#2 is winging his way back to Toronto from Germany--  AND--of course, he sent a picture of his dinner yesterday--I told him that you all were asking--  LOL

Pork Schnitzel---  I think it looks awful, but he said it was really tasty----

To-day--This morning, Himself is heading into the clinic--to have his ears examined--(not his head examined!-)--and I am hoping from there he can get a referral to see an ""ENT DR ---

I am offa here-- I enjoy reading yer comments--I'll look later-- and I hope yer weekend went well-- Be kind to Police People ---=-  They need that---  hug yer pets---and yer husband----hugs to yu all--

  2. I saw your picture before I read your comment, and said - "Now that's a nice looking schnitzel! My reasoning is you can tell it was a nice piece of tender pork that was pounded - not to fit into some idea of a shape like some pre-made schnitzel I've seen in pubs here, but by real people in the kitchen in back. Plus the gravy looks like my mother's which was a milk gravy made from the pan drippings. Not pre-made stuff that comes out perfect in a pouch.

But!! I'm down to my FIRST weight goal which is 85kg. My next goal is 80. It's taken me about 9 years to get from 96kg to 85. (In pounds lets see... I went from 211 to 187lbs ).

Today was Labor Day here and I missed my day of 'holiday' because I didn't check the calendar and worked all day. There weren't any interruptions either so I got lots done. I think, being self-employed, that since I worked so hard on the holiday I might slack off a wee bit tomorrow and do some more walking and rowing on the rowing machine. Hope you have a gorgeous fall day. It was a mostly lovely Spring day here. So warm my cat decided to do most of her napping on the patio instead of inside.

  3. Oh Lynda, such gorgeous picture of the fog rising from the lake; the buttermilk sky; Halloween decorations and of course Beau, he's a handsome one! Your grandson cuts your grass in the same pattern that my hubby used to cut ours, looks really nice.

I LOVE Pork Schnitzel and this looks delicious to me!! Have not had that in ages!

Let us know how Fred makes out with his ears.

Loads of Love & lots of Hugs coming to you, Fred and your fur babies xoxo

    1. Hi Gloria--- The ENT appointment never happened-- His Dr spoke got me--NOT HIM---isn't that sad?-- And the Dr maybe spoke to us for 2 minutes-- I really don't think anything can be done to help him hear--because #1--He is too stubborn to wear his hearing aids---and #2--- The medical system is all messed up since covid-- The ENT DR apparently only comes here to town once a Yr- -And--- Lopez is doing better --VERY attached to me tho-- Lynda

  4. Happy the ear check will finally happen. Maybe the ENT will be able to help more...or at least give you helpful suggestions.
Beau is beautiful...as is your wonderful property.
Cool here, too, but warmer for a couple days than it was.
Our elevator is up! I'll be able to ride it down to take my garbage and recyclables out!
Yesterday two friends and I went to Culvers in a neighboring town. Do you have Culvers? We all got their fish...marvelous stuff. I rarely eat fried food, but gotta have their battered north atlantic cod. We got their frozen custard for dessert.
Today the workers will come to fire up our boilers, too. We will have heat when we want it.
    Yes, dear, we just gotta trust. My favorite affirmation is, "Things always work out for me." {{{HUGS}}}

    1. Hi Patricia --The Appointment went just terrible--The Dr , because Himself can't hear, he only spoke to me--and the ENT referral is not possible as that Dr only comes to town once a yr--Isn't that crazy?--- Lynda

    3. I think the pork schnitzel looks yummy but then anything that I don't have to cook always looks and tastes better. I like to cook but once in awhile I wish someone would cook for me. We had our 1st frost last night and maybe another tonight. Lots of outside work to finish before we leave Thursday for vacation to PA and Kentucky.

  8. Glad that the docks are in. **SIGH** Sure sign of Autumn and . . . . that season to follow.

And grandson cut the grass! That’s great!

Ohhhhh that pork schnitzel looks wonderful! I remember having that when I was in Munich and Rotterdam.

I sure hope that Himself’s ear problems can be identified and treated. Frustrating for Both of you .

    1. Hi Barb--Well the appointment this AM was kinda useless-- The "ENT" DR., only comes here once a year and I guess the list to see her is as long as yer arm and leg-Since Covid there is a real shortage of medical people-Lynda

  9. Gorgeous pictures. Sounds like you will have to go to Sudbury with himself to see a ENT Dr. Glad docks got in and grass was cut. Beau still looks good.

  10. Love all your pictures! The buttermilk sky is beautiful along with the fog leaving the lake. The schnitzel looks great just like the kind we get here in Kitchener since we are the home of Oktoberfest.

  11. Sure glad to hear your son/grandson came to help you out. I knew they would. That really takes a lot of worry off you. All your pictures are lovely of your property there. Such a beautiful place! And the food pic your son shared looks delicious to me...anything with gravy is what I like. I don't eat gravy much but I do love it. Sorry the ENT appt didn't work out well for Himself ... I understand the hearing problems 🙁

  12. I loved your photos. The first one does make it look a bit chilly up where you live. But we are getting cooler weather coming later this week. Those little Halloween characters are so cute. One of my neighbors does a lot of decorating for the holiday. I hope all goes well with the ear doctor - oh, and yes, Son #2's dinner looks pretty interesting!
