Music is my escape-What is yours?

I thought this was pretty funny--and--we need a laugh--It seems weird now, as I feel 200 years older than before I ever married---  but--I used to believe there really was a "Prince Charming" out there-- and  now I know  he might've been stuck in a tree-- LOLOL--

This AM., I have to drop off the garbage--get the 2 boys out (as in dogs)_ then hit the road for bananas--It will be daylight  before we go--  The wash is done--altho I did sleep in till almost 6am--

This morning I woke up and thought--"Thank goodness we didn't take that other house!"-- I realize now it was extremely small-- (I know--This house is extremely large )--but--there must be something , more medium sized out there for us!---  and praise the good Lord that yu all told me it wasn't the right place--   Thank goodness I came to my senses! ----I guess this is a learning process!

Well, enough of that-- I must keep moving here --- I shall take Himself with me to pick up groceries--He waits in the car with Lopez- You know, we have really not had a snowfall yet-- It is like a miracle--I did get a ton of leaves raked yesterday  on the lakeside of the house--plus, Son#3 the Policeman, helped me reorganize the" way too small " shed----

I hear on the news that gas prices are again "UP"---  Everything is "UP"- -- (except the bank account!)-Well, there is not much I can do about it--except--- don't buy  anything ---  LOLOL_-As if eh?--

I'll check in here later-Hope yu all are "up and at-er"--  Hugs--

STAY STRONG----and---  we will!- We are a part of this day--What are you all doing to-day? I know I will playing the piano-

  2. Good morning Lynda, (Spark people1951 here)
I have been reading your daily comments. It does seem as we get older the house gets bigger. Hubby and I have been talking about selling also. We joke that it would take a month of Sundays before we get rid of all the "junk" that we can't seem to part with.
Our bedroom is upstairs, and our laundry is in the basement. Hubby thinks that is why we stay young.
Just a note when we do leaves, we put mulching blades on the mower so the leaves are ground up small and go back into the ground. Around our house we have 7 huge trees, (mostly Maple) and so far so good. We haven't raked or bagged anything yet. Maybe you can give that a try - your friend. Bev

  3. Lynda, I missed my big house when I first moved into my apt, it was the change that made me feel that way. But although I still miss some things about it, mostly I love being in a smaller home - less work, lol.

Once we marry our prince charming, he becomes what he really is - a man, lol. Maybe they think the same of us??

I'm happy you're going to take some time to be sure you get the right home for you and Fred. It's out there, waiting for you to find it!

Much love and many hugs to you, Fred, Beau, Sushi and little Lopez. xoxo

  5. I went and visited with a niece I hadn't seen in ten years or so. We live in the same city, just never seem to be included in one another's plans! It was nice. We had both been total hermits during the two years of pandemic times, and are only now getting out and seeing people again.

  6. I love music also Lynda...my Aunt wanted me to learn how to play her organ because I had such long fingers, sadly did not get to do that for her, but loved to listen to her play...and I bet you and the piano are awesome as well.
PS: When you find the right house - you will know - you won't be having doubts - it will be right. Haste makes waste(as my mother used to say) see, now you got me doing that.

  7. I will respond to your last comment first. Music is my escape, too. And games on my Kindle, and books on there, my pc and in paper. It's great to have all this entertainment and stress relief! We all need it.
I don't need bananas yet, but will be going for cat food within a day or two.
We had a Halloween party last night at our local Eagles club. I dressed up as the Hallmark character Maxine in my pink robe, gray wig, bunny slippers. I had my little dog, red cup and help an unlit cigarette. I started with a snipped from my contest winning Seriously Folks (that's what she says) Toastmasters International speech, sang "I Did it my way," and ended with another speech snippet. I WON FIRST PLACE. I will put m photo on my page in a bit.
Today, being exhausted after last night's festivities, I took a long nap.
I believe we are all happy you didn't buy that house, Lynda. The right one will come. You will immediately feel at home.

  8. I love the saying above - overthinking leads to negative thoughts. Please remember that. When you find the right house you will know. Don't lose sleep over it in the meantime. Play the piano and relax!

  9. Hope your banana trip went well. I don’t even know what bananas cost right now! Hope the rest of your groceries were not too expensive. I notice some of our prices have gone down, except for meat. So we are doing Hillshire Farms dinner sausage and hot dogs more often. Sometime chicken is cheaper. Doris
