Yesterday I drove Himself to the Hearing Clinic and the 2 Ladies who run this clinic looked in his ears AND THE EARS ARE PERFECTLY CLEAR--no wax in them--- no infection, no blood-- It was a miracle! One of these dear Ladies suggested he wear the hearing aids at least for a couple hours everyday-She told him that if he doesn't wear them at all, not only will he not hear, but his brain will not recognize the words--and you know what?--- This AM ., he got up and put the hearing aids in--and we had a normal conversation.
We have a cloudy wet day outside, with leaves all over the place---and they continue to fall-Sadie is chomping at the bit to get in here to do one more room--heavy duty cleaning-(And you know that Sadie is really me)- To-day is a good day--to have the best day ever--It seems like a good day to get a wee nap in, with a good book to help yu fall asleep--
-It might be a good day to play ball with Beau-- who was supposed to go to his groomer, but the groomer has a bad back so Beau seems quite happy that he gets to stay home--I don't like to ask for stuff--like-asking people to stay with Himself just so I can get my hair done--my one luxury ---So far, Himself can handle the short time I am away- but, I know there will come a time that I might have to step forward and rely on some help--
Great news about hearing aids IN and good news about condition of his ears.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your hair day.....and maybe a nap later.
Love your positive spin.
Take care

Hallelujah and praises that Himself is wearing the hearing aides! HOPE that improves his demeanor, too. Wonderful. Bless those ladies @ the Hearing clinic that spoke to Himself about the importance of wearing his aides!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve the pampering and don’t be afraid to ask for the help w/Himself when you need it so you can take care of you!

Glad the hearing aid specialists talked sense to Himself, and he was willing to hear it. It’s like kids listening to a teacher, but Not their parents! Good thing it’s hair day, mental health time, not a luxury, you deserve it all! Take care.
ReplyDeleteMy hearing aid doctor tells me the same thing....that if I don't wear them my brain can't adjust to hearing and miy hearing will just get worse! I am bad about wearing them when I am here alone at home all day. And the doctor can tell how many hours I wear them when he puts them on his computer thing......I need to do better!
ReplyDeleteLynda, I am so happy for you! Maybe Himself will realize that he can hear with his 'ears' and wear them more often!
ReplyDeleteOf course, Lopez is a good doggie. He doesn't be 'not good' on purpose, I bet.
I am out of bananas. May go get some later, though that is all I need. I am so used to eating one, though, after I meditate. May seem a crazy habit, but it's mine. ;-)
Cool, overcast and breezy here, too. Down in the 30sF. I am not looking forward to the snow. We have to park in our lot. When cars a covered with snow, we have to shovel ours out. No place to put the snow we shovel! Well, hardly no place.
I predict the holidays will get us through. In no time we will be experiencing spring! {{{HUGS}}}
It seems husbands are always willing to listen to someone else but I'm glad himself put in his hearing aids so you two could have a good conversation. Sounds like a win! It's chilly here today too, cloudy and windy. My daughter's FIL passed away this morning - I don't feel like I have enough energy to do much today!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you... it doesn't matter who he listens to, as long as he listens to someone, and follows their advice, right?
ReplyDeleteEvery day / month / year I live, the more the simple victories mean a lot. Love your gratitude for today!
Thank goodness for those two ladies at hearing clinic! YAY!!! I hope you have a good time at the hair salon.
ReplyDeleteI think the ladies referring to his brain with the hearing aides probably registered with him as a doctor so that is good. Hope hair day went well.
