Life is too short to be normal--Stay Weird!

It is sunny---  cold---  not raining-- AND----it looks like a good day to have the best day ever! ---I am so happy to be alive-- There is a God in Heaven for sure--I'll have to tell yu why I believe that---  not right now---  but--soon!-- Life changes daily and  hopefully this all will work out----

Beau has been outside--Lopez too--and  they will go out again soon--

Talking to you all , you know, keeps me sane--makes my day better for sure! ---  Last evening , Himself was not himself-- very bossy--- telling me all sorts of sorta crazy  things--like-- what I must buy, and what I buy  now  at the grocery is all wrong (He hasn't been in a store for at least 2 yrs!)-- and that I spend too much money--and we will be broke soon--etc etc etc -- I just gave him a hug--kept my big mouth shut-and carried on-- Poor man eh?-- He used to run a grocery business you know--  He used to be so kind----- He was used to dealing with people--was always so wonderful with people--and with me--Why are so many older adults getting this "old timers Disease"?----- He was very careful what he ate--not like me, who ate everything and anything----  I realize that he is 94 ---So, I must carry on here-- To-morrow I go to see a house in town-a smaller house, but very workable , I hope--Life is  funny isn't it?-- You have to believe that everything will work out --in the end---  and if it isn't working out--then it's not the end!--  Someone said that didn't they?
Weird and wonderful thoughts for sure---  I like the above tho---  Lets all "Stay Weird"!--Lord Love a Duck! -

  1. Good for you Lynda! You took all that verbal abuse and let it go in one ear and out the other. We all are suffering from the higher grocery prices.....I have quit buying some things that I decided I can do without! So happy that your weather is nice and the dogs got out! Sunny here too! Lastly, good luck on the new house hunt! And thanks for always sharing your blog with us each day!

  3. Wonder how this smaller house is? It will have to happen sooner than we think. Good thing you were able to keep your tongue inside, it’s tough. Not to answer back. Dear Dear! Winter May be worse. This time around.

  4. Yes, Lynda...you said that! ;-)
Cool, damp and cloudy here, too. Not too cold, though. 59F.
Just found out I have more $ posted in my account...a deposit posted early. I can go out and buy bananas! Other stuff, too, of course. Like my fave coffee and more cat food.
Alz is hard to deal with. Have a dear sister of my heart (my daughter's mother-in-law) who just lost her husband because of it. She asked for help when she could and just dealt with it. Her husband was much younger than Himself, though. You are lucky to still have him in your life.
A smaller, more manageable house sounds good. You will not like needing to give up your beautiful property, however. Maybe one of your kids can take it over? Wouldn't it be great to have your daughter move back?
    We can dream. In fact we must dream. It sometimes seems it's what keeps me same. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. Ohhhh, I hope it’s good news that has restored some of your faith! We all need that once in awhile.

Awwww, you handled Himself’s fears/ directives just right. A big hug and not engaging. You deserve a gold medal.

Well, sure hope that this smaller house in town looks like a thought to keep in mind!

Hugs and yes, things work out the way they’re supposed to in the end (maybe not what WE would have imagined, but none-the-less).

  6. I can't imagine getting to be 94 and what I might be like if I do get there. We have a beautiful fall day today and I just returned from getting my flu shot. I hope the house in town is one that you can see yourself and Himself living in comfortably. Enjoy your day.

  8. Hopefully the house works out to be something that you like and is feasible for you 2 and the fur babies to move in to. Can't wait to see how it goes. Can't wait to see how it goes. Is he still wearing his hearing aides? Good luck.

  9. A big atta girl on not responding to what Fred says.. A hug was the perfect reply. Atta Girl.
Oh Lynda, I do hope this smaller house in town is more suitable for you 2. Downsizing from your huge place will be tough but I'm hoping one of the kids will buy it or all of the kids will buy it for their weekend/vacation house.
Love your attitude and positive outlook. You Rock!
    Hugs

  10. I'm sorry you had a hard time with himself last evening but it seems you did the right thing to take care of him. I know we've thought often about moving into a smaller house but it just seems too overwhelming! I hope things work out for the best for you!

  11. Glad Lynda, you can let it go in one ear and out the other (as my mother used to say) lol................how did the house hunt go? And how do you think Himself will handle a move.....maybe take him to visit one of the kids then take him home to your new place? Hugging him probably reassured him............
